@breakneck thank you, so I'm not alone!!! It felt like my characters were sight-seeing instead of trying to save the world. I hated the open-world design and all those mini-games, I only stayed for those characters that I love. But it was hard. I didn't have a good time.
Finished the game this monday, 100%, all collectibles, 26h. Had a few minor bugs, odd transitioning from game to cut scene, was teleported from a room to a previous one while investigating a house, but nothing game-wrecking. Worst thing was that granular effect gauge in the visual settings that I had to deactivate, as it was projecting a very unpleasant grid effect on the sky and various textures. It took me some time to figure out what was wrong and why the graphics were this bad.
I'm playing right now, and I'm having issues: a lot of flickering, especially when there's a lot of sand on screen or while looking at the sky (some grid-like paterns keep appearing). I tried to change the graphical options, turning things on and off but nothing worked. Never had this sort of issues with other games like Miles Morales, FFXVI, Ratchet and Clank and so on. Can anyone help me? Please?
[Edit]: found it! It was the granular effect gauge! Man, this thing kind of ruined my first three hours on this game!
My first new PS5 game in months: Final Fantasy Origins Stranger of Paradise. I'm having a blast! It's dumb, but in a good way. Jack is a very soothing character! Lol I love the different classes and will possibly finish it this weekend. If I do, I'll do a second Scarlet Nexus playthrough. And maybe next week... buy The Last of Us part 1? I shouldn't, right? Right?
@MemSec I don't think they found what to do with this license, really. The first one was very dark, with a somewhat psychopathic character. The second was maybe "too fun". Too much emphasis on social trends, followers, and so one. The last one was really interesting, though, with this cinxept of playing a "cell", and not a specific character. I really thought they were onto something with this one.
It's dumb as hell, and extremely laughable. Spencer play the good friend, the nice guy, while using an unlimited checkbook and being fine buying everything he can. But a guy incapable of managing his own studios so they actually release games shouldn't try to give lessons. Ryan is here for the money, nothing else, and doesn't concern himself with his own image at all. It shows: it's desastrous. The guy is a hypocrite, blaming the competition while doing the same thing with games like Final Fantasy.
@Relygon as a disabled player that was operated on his shoulder six times so I could keep moving my arm properly, Sekiro was awful to me. It was litteraly painful for me to play it, I was forced to quit.
I didn't buy it because of the price. It shouldn't be a factor, EXCEPT in certain cases, like this one. It's just too much for a re-remaster. It's just so like Sony right now: augmenting the pricez of the games, of the consoles... Maybe if we weren't in such a context, like a throwback of the PS3 era, when Sony thought it could get away with anything, it wouldn't be such a bother, but it is. It really is. I'm really not a fan of the Jim Ryan way.
Ok, so, I liked the demo. Still playing it in fact. I love the Pugilist class, and just unlocked Monk and Rônin. I'm very suprised: I tried this demo back in the day, on my Series X, and from what I remember, it wasn't looking that good, with many surfaces looking flat, lifeless. I wonder what happened. Maybe I wasn't in a good mood and my memory is tricking me? I'm playing in easy mode, without the security option, and I'm having a good time!
Thanks for answering you all. Downloading the demo right now. Is it really representative of the game, though? I heard there have been a big patch that really bettered the graphics.

Re: Assassin's Creed Is Dropping PS4 with Infinity's Red, Hexe, and Beyond
@Teddie-bear so they're basically forcing players to go digital going forward?
Re: Assassin's Creed Finally Goes to Japan as Ubisoft Takes on Ghost of Tsushima
@MemSec they said when Legion was released that they were kind of shelving the franchise after this third episode.
Re: Assassin's Creed Finally Goes to Japan as Ubisoft Takes on Ghost of Tsushima
I'm excited for the setting, yet a little worried about what a "shinobi fantasy" can mean for Ubisoft...
Re: Assassin's Creed Is Dropping PS4 with Infinity's Red, Hexe, and Beyond
Did anybody understand what Infinity is? Is it a launcher? Another subscription service (yuk...)?
Re: Assassin's Creed Mirage Sneaks to PS5, PS4 in 2023, Priced at $50
Instant buy because of Shohreh Aghdashloo (this voice... I recognized her immediately!)!
Bagdad seems like a beautiful setting, with bright colors.

I'm so tempted by this game!
I've read bad reviews, but heard people say good things about it, and I don't know what to do!!!
Re: Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker Out Now on PS5, PS4
@KingPev at this point, even a simple disc in a simple box would have made me happy.
Re: Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker Out Now on PS5, PS4
@KingPev I disagree.
I have FFXIV and each extension on disc, and I would have loved to see a gorgeous edition of the PS5 version and/or Endwalker.
Re: Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker Out Now on PS5, PS4
I'm kind of bummed this one didn't get a physical release.
Re: Godfall's PS Plus Version Is All Endgame Content, No Story Campaign
This kind of decisions won't get me to subscribe to PS+ for sure...
Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for December 2021 and January 2022
I can't help but think that Sony is missing a big "hollidays game".
