Again, we've seen nothing, game-wise, within the realm of that EPIC demo we saw before the generation began. That was what we were told our PS5's were capable of, and it was heavily implied that we'd one day get that on our PS5's. Hasn't come close to happening, and now they're trying to sell us a $700.00 PS5 Pro for semi-moderate to moderate resolution and framerate gains?
That EPIC presentation for PS5 hasn't even come close to being realized and yet they're releasing a PS5 Pro.
If I don't see something equal to what was shown with that EPIC presentation on a standard PS5, then to me, this will read like overpromised, power-of-the-cloud nonsense by Sony.
Trying to talk up resolution and framerate gains with side-by-sides of The Last of Us Part II, R&C just fell flat for me, and I'm sure many others.
I'm not saying it's not worth its price and that it doesn't have value, but how bland was that demonstration with Cerny? He just couldn't lift the PS5 Pro high enough.
I've had it preordered for weeks and I can't wait to get into it. The pre-installed AstroBot still makes the best case for the DualSense, so I'm looking forward to seeing if this lives up to or surpasses that.
These games are a celebration of gaming - specifically PlayStation gaming.

Re: Rumour: Concord Cost $400 Million, Sony Believed It Was the 'Future of PlayStation'
Not a fan of Hermen Hulst's leadership.
Re: Final Fantasy 16 Is F**cked and PS5's New Firmware Is to Blame
I wonder if this has anything to do with the terrible UI lag I've been experiencing of late.
Re: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (PS5) - Capcom Classic Still Shines 18 Years Later
@JB_Whiting No, not really. That's not the point.
The point is that it changes the original work to placate someone and cater to their views. That shouldn't happen.
Remaster the visuals and refine what needs refining technically, but removing gameplay goes too far.
Re: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (PS5) - Capcom Classic Still Shines 18 Years Later
@DeepEyes This is indeed censorship and it only gets worse the more people excuse it.
Allowing the censoring of 'small' detail opens the door to larger, more troubling censorship.
Re: State of Play Rumoured for This Month As Sony Looks Set to Skip PS Showcase in 2024
Sony's going downhill.
Re: Poll: Would You Buy PS5 Pro If It Was Cheaper?
@nessisonett Agreed.

Thanks, Sony, I guess.

I'm sorry, but that's what it looks like.
Re: Poll: Are You Sold on PS5 Pro?
Mark Cerny's 'magic' just doesn't fly here.

Re: Did You Know PlayStation Almost Had a Different Name?
Lol.
I'm so glad they didn't go with "Power Station."

I'm having fun watching this crash and burn. When will they learn?
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Black Myth: Wukong?
It's a beautiful game with an engaging story and great combat. I plan on reading the source material upon completion.
As of now I'm a 9. Could go higher or lower, but I really don't see it going lower.
Just a great game.
Re: Preview: As Uncharted Rests, Xbox Provides PS5 Adventure in Indiana Jones
This has so much potential and already looks fantastic presentation-wise. I don't think I've played an Indiana Jones game since the NES.

One glance was enough to turn me off. No, it's just not for me.
