The thing is, all you can really say about the Pro is that the graphics are a "bit" better - for those to whom this kind of thing matters, what price can you reasonably put on this small improvement?
Most enthusiasts would have already bought the Disk version at £450 when the PS5 launched in 2020, and at absolute best you're going to get £350 back if you now attempted to sell the console on the second-hand market.
To get the Pro with the same features as your base PS5 (i.e. a stand and disk-drive) it's going to cost you £800.
That's asking for a minimum of £450 extra for a "bit" better than a system you currently own. Who can really justify this?
Not that I really care either way, but this is clearly a mid-point cut scene in a super hero game, so I would say bringing them all back to life through time-travel, multiverse versions, fake deaths or other comic book methods remains entirely on the cards for final section of the game.
Maybe I'm being overly negative here but it does seem like Sony's released more new hardware than software this year. Since Feb we've had the PSVR2, DualSense Edge, the Portal, and now PS5 Slim. Absolutely bonkers.
Mine arrived early this morning but had to wait until the end of my work day to actually try it out properly. Really impressive so far but has left me a bit disorientated (first time using home VR), hopefully that'll pass in time. Got Horizon, Rez and Kayak Mirage to start with. Have my eyes on Moss 1&2, Tetris Effect and Tale of onogoro also. Great launch line up!
@TeapotBuddha hope it arrives swiftly for you! Call of the Mountain seems to be taking forever to download for me so not sure I'll get to play the damn thing today, but nice to have it arrive all the same
@Kidfunkadelic83 @TeapotBuddha has yours arrived yet? Mine is still marked as "Preparing To Ship" and my confirmation email told me it should arrive sometime between the 22nd and 28th Feb - however it arrived at my front door about 45 minutes ago
@KundaliniRising333 it sounds like you're confused re: best direction as you keep focusing on just story. Story = Narrative and GoW:R rightly won that award
@get2sammyb @KingdomTears - just as an update to my comment above (in case of interest to the site or anyone reading) - I received a pre-order link this morning, so they are clearly sending a few more out ahead of launch.
I had just assumed this one was going to be delayed. Sequels to my top 3 games of the last gen (Jedi: Fallen Order, Spider-Man and Breath of the Wild) all coming out in 2023 is absolutely bonkers.
Hey @get2sammyb - have you guys heard anything about Sony offering another chance to pre-order PSVR2 before launch? I never received an email -yes, I checked my junk, promotions and other folders- despite registering multiple times before the pre-orders went live.
I've noticed that if you're based in Canada (and likely other countries that didn't have the invite system) that you can just go to Amazon or Walmart and pre-order - so they clearly haven't run out of stock:
Pretty frustrating for us based in countries such as the UK who would still like to pre-order but are being blocked for some completely unknown reason.
@SJBUK ugh. Thanks. Not sure why I'm being shunned by Sony. I guess it's possible I might get an email before the day is out, but not holding my breath
To all the people saying that this just shows that people are willing to pay £70 for a game, I actually think this proves the opposite. A week after launch you could pick this game up for between £55-£60 in the UK, which is a much more reasonable asking price imho and I suspect why sales have gone up rather than down.
@get2sammyb I loved the first game and bought the dlc some time ago but never got around to playing it. Would you recommend playing through the dlc prior to mm?

Re: PS5 Pro Showcase Set for Tomorrow, Hosted by Mark Cerny
I'm concerned for Sony that this thing might crash and burn almost as badly as Concord 😬
Re: Astro Bot Looks Absolutely Glorious, Lands on PS5 This September
My first day one purchase of the PS5 generation (I'm usually a bit behind with a lot of the major releases, but won't be able to wait for this one!)
Re: Rumour: Full Astro Bot PS5 Game to Be Announced Very Soon
If it's not for PSVR2 then can we at least get a port of Rescue Mission?

@Kidfunkadelic83 awesome! Just downloading Kayak VR as I type so looking forward to trying it out. Enjoy also!

Re: PSVR2 Game Pricing Revealed as Pre-Orders Go Live
@SJBUK thank you! Appreciate it

@ROTTIEMAN16 yup been checking all of the various gmail tabs and searched "psvr" etc. Got nothing

Has everyone here that are based in the UK received a pre-order link? Still waiting for an email from Sony
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's Latest State of Play Livestream?
@TheKurgan @OmegaStriver - sadly not a shadow drop 2022 release date for PSVR2:
"The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution is currently set to come to PSVR in late 2022 and PS VR2 in 2023."
