I finished Sekiro so I’ll be playing Tails of Iron. Also might try and get the last few trophies for the Doki Doki Literature Club platinum. I did a blind play through a couple of days ago. It was… interesting…

I played Ghostwire: Tokyo when I had a PS Plus extra subscription. I finished the game at that time but I want to go back and get the platinum so I’m happy I can claim it on Essential. I love the game. No interest in Death Note but I might give the mini car one a go. I’m happy with this month for Ghostwire alone

I finally finished Sekiro! I’m playing and having a much easier time with STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order. The lack of any fast travel is a little annoying and the hologram map is confusing, but I’m having fun!

I have it on Vita, but never got around to playing it. Maybe I should give it a go

@CWill97 Congrats! I think I’ve finally given up on Sekiro. I just finished another 2 hour session losing to SSI. I can’t do it. Absolutely no belief left. I know his every move, I know how to beat him, but I keep making mistakes. Maybe one more session tomorrow before I throw in the towel and delete the game. It’s too bad because I’ve loved the game until this point

Getting close to the end (I think) of my first play through of Sekiro. I’ve enjoyed it immensely so will go for all endings and the platinum

Still working on Sekiro. It took me exactly 123 tries to beat G.A. but hey, I did it. I may not be good at this game, but I sure do love it. Tonight I’m trying to take down this headless mf 😆

@KyushuTrail To answer my own question, the Japanese line up has been announced. They’re not replacing Dead Island 2 with anything. So we only get 8 games not 10 (we also miss out on two point campus). What a joke

No Dead Island 2 in Japan. Anyone know what we get instead?

It’s frustrating that they’re adding Japanese when the game hasn’t even released here in Japan yet. In the psn store it’s listed as announced. There’s only a ps5 demo available

Do you think the series romanticizes or even glorifies yakuza? My city has a big problem with them so I know them as sex traffickers, loan sharks, and scammers. If there was a running theme like “don’t associate with yazuka” or “abolish yakuza groups” that would be cool

Censorship in Japan is bad. A scene in the Japanese version of TLOU2 was cut. Some big games can’t even get a rating and release here like The Callisto Protocol, Dead Space remake, and Dead Island 2…

@thefourfoldroot1 I liked the Famicom detective games on my switch for studying. There’s a conversation log where you can repeat voiced dialog. 13 Sentinels was good for that too, but the Japanese was a little more difficult. Games where you can’t repeat cutscenes or other dialog I broadcast privately on YouTube and review the game footage later for study. That way any game can be used for study. I would recommend games that aren’t sci-fi or fantasy to get more useful Japanese. Something like the Crayon-shin chan summer vacation game

If I had the money for a pro (which I don’t) I’d rather buy a new TV. Mine is over 10 years old and the screen is blotchy 😮‍💨

Playing SEKIRO. It’s really kicking my butt. Still enjoying it though. I think I actually love it. Might try and get some more trophies in Vampire Survivors and MLB The Show 24, too. I’m not a baseball fan, but I’ve recently started getting caught up in the Ohtani hype

No Dead Space in Japan so we get… Utawarerumono instead. An old “adult tactical role-playing visual novel” game from 2002 that got ported to ps4 about 6 years ago 😅

Continuing with Sekiro. I finally feel I’ve got the deflect down. I beat an early boss that I’d been stuck on for a while. It’s getting really good and I’m excited to play every time I start it up

@Overmind Haha thanks! I expect to die a lot before I start getting used to it, but that’s ok. I finished Demon’s Souls, but I cheesed a few of those bosses. I know this will be a big jump in difficulty. Looking forward to feeling like a ninja god!
