Re: Sony Thinks of the Children as Senran Kagura Producer Laments Censorship

I want to be brutally honest with all "I will use my Switch"-rebels: I'd prefer a decent censored version of a game than playing a multiplatform-port on Switch running at 10 frames per second with blurry textures. I own Nights of Azure 2, Gal Gun 2 and Atelier Lydie and Suelle on Switch and PS4. There are differences like day and night. Switch can't even handle some last gen engines properly; hell, even the Vita runs Nights of Azure 2 smoothly! So: What's the point in having uncensored boobs if they are a) blurry as fudge or b) bouncing with glorious slideshow-fps? Shots fired. Truth hurts, huh?

Another interesting point is, that he speaks of "adjusting to global standards". That said, a "switch to... Switch and Xbox (no pun intended)", which is currently being considered by many Anime fans, would not make much sense, right? By "global standards," I understand, that sooner or later, Nintendo and Microsoft will also have to adjust to corresponding policies and their creative freedom will be limited as well, will it not?

(Edit: Deleted my last comment. The gif freezed my Vita. Yes, I'm browsing and tiping with that thing. Lawl. )

I like 18 games on that machine. That'd be all that matters. But I know, that I won't play 'em that much, due to a huge backlog of more modern titles (PS3, Vita, PS4). So, no buy for me, sadly. Maybe I'll get it, when the price drops, only as a nice-to-look-at-object though.

@Gamer83 @Flopsy

I also think, that they're going to censor stuff. Hell, Sony is censor-crazy lately, it'll be as sure as an Amen in church. Maybe Kaine's outfit will be pulled out. If they could replace the sexy ones at least with some Horizon clothing...

Yes. Exactly. Sony is the silent, mysterious Japanese schoolboy, while Microsoft is the tall, muscular, extroverted baseball player. For a while, the mystery of the loner will pull interest, but in the long run the open-hearted guy is more trustworthy. Humans simply feel safer where they know what they are getting.

Jokes aside, I agree with Sammy. The only thing I get to here are the bad news about Sony, that I've stated above, while Microsoft and Nintendo are advertising colourful and loudly. I miss a little bit of "Hey, we are also here, still in the game, look at us, motherf-beep-!" from Sony recently. It feels like, they are taking their success for granted, without having to promote things or explaining decisions through interviews. I'm still waiting for an explanation about their recent censorship policy, for example.

Oh Sony, it's very hard to love you nowadays. You...

....censor my beloved Japanese anime games
...cancel the yearly PSX
...bring out an average PlayStation Classic with a butt ugly interface, using an open source emulator as a base
...pretend to play Red Dead 2 at 4K on PS4 Pro, you nasty nasty false advertising thing
...and now, you cancel E3 2019.

My dear Sony, tell me: How can we save our relationship if you keep on disappointing me like that? dramatic end
