I want to be brutally honest with all "I will use my Switch"-rebels: I'd prefer a decent censored version of a game than playing a multiplatform-port on Switch running at 10 frames per second with blurry textures. I own Nights of Azure 2, Gal Gun 2 and Atelier Lydie and Suelle on Switch and PS4. There are differences like day and night. Switch can't even handle some last gen engines properly; hell, even the Vita runs Nights of Azure 2 smoothly! So: What's the point in having uncensored boobs if they are a) blurry as fudge or b) bouncing with glorious slideshow-fps? Shots fired. Truth hurts, huh?
I'm asking myself how Sony will take care of the first anime fanservice games for girls or homosexual men with teenage looking boys, wearing skin tight speedos and stuff. Maybe also with bouncing d*cks. Just thinking. If they'll also get as strickt as censoring some touchy Senran Kagura mode? :-/
Welp, as long as Sony sticks to minor looking anime girls and boob softening gels, there's no problem for me personally, to be honest. It's the "let's wait and watch what happens"-game all over again. Until then, I'll use the waterslide, wheeeeeeee... @JJ2
Another interesting point is, that he speaks of "adjusting to global standards". That said, a "switch to... Switch and Xbox (no pun intended)", which is currently being considered by many Anime fans, would not make much sense, right? By "global standards," I understand, that sooner or later, Nintendo and Microsoft will also have to adjust to corresponding policies and their creative freedom will be limited as well, will it not?
(Edit: Deleted my last comment. The gif freezed my Vita. Yes, I'm browsing and tiping with that thing. Lawl. )
I like 18 games on that machine. That'd be all that matters. But I know, that I won't play 'em that much, due to a huge backlog of more modern titles (PS3, Vita, PS4). So, no buy for me, sadly. Maybe I'll get it, when the price drops, only as a nice-to-look-at-object though.
With Sony making decisions I cannot support lately, I don't feel like playing PlayStation that much, to be honest. Mario Odyssey on Switch will do the trick during weekend.
And still 100k Switch sales without a mayor release after Pokèmon. When Smash hits the shelves, sales will explode once again it seems. Half a million maybe? O_o
Yes, it is a serious question, since I'm getting very insecure about buying anime'ish games due to Sony's censorship measurements lately. So: Is there any kind of gameplay-influencing censorship involved in both dancing games like removed costumes or trophies?
Compared to Nintendo and Xbox news, the PlayStation ones have become rare these days (excluding the bad news). I can understand that's difficult for PlayStation only websites to find topics. Especially if someone's so talkative like Sony.
I also think, that they're going to censor stuff. Hell, Sony is censor-crazy lately, it'll be as sure as an Amen in church. Maybe Kaine's outfit will be pulled out. If they could replace the sexy ones at least with some Horizon clothing...
To be honest, censoring some gel and a fan doesn't sound like a big deal at all for now. I'm more curious to see, how Sony is gonna handle a game, that has sex and eroticism as major topics like Catherine. There, I think, we can evaluate the true expansion/effects of Sony's new censorship policy - depending on what they will or won't change.
@lacerz Thanks for the reminder. Must go and get the trophy before effin' Sony censors stuff like that too. Lollipop Chainsaw has a similar trophy btw.
Yes. Exactly. Sony is the silent, mysterious Japanese schoolboy, while Microsoft is the tall, muscular, extroverted baseball player. For a while, the mystery of the loner will pull interest, but in the long run the open-hearted guy is more trustworthy. Humans simply feel safer where they know what they are getting.
It is exaggeration. I have a backlog of over 40 PS4 and 30 PS3 games. Sony could, in my opinion, really be more communicative with its fans recently, but I will not change factions so fast, as hinted in my pseudo dramatic post. I've still too many games to play.
Jokes aside, I agree with Sammy. The only thing I get to here are the bad news about Sony, that I've stated above, while Microsoft and Nintendo are advertising colourful and loudly. I miss a little bit of "Hey, we are also here, still in the game, look at us, motherf-beep-!" from Sony recently. It feels like, they are taking their success for granted, without having to promote things or explaining decisions through interviews. I'm still waiting for an explanation about their recent censorship policy, for example.
Oh Sony, it's very hard to love you nowadays. You...
....censor my beloved Japanese anime games
...cancel the yearly PSX
...bring out an average PlayStation Classic with a butt ugly interface, using an open source emulator as a base
...pretend to play Red Dead 2 at 4K on PS4 Pro, you nasty nasty false advertising thing
...and now, you cancel E3 2019.
My dear Sony, tell me: How can we save our relationship if you keep on disappointing me like that? dramatic end

Why can't Pushsquare be like Nintendolife and pretend that everything Sony is awesome?

Yeah. How Sony is treating japanese developers is more of a concern for me than some boob softening gel. :/
