Re: Death Stranding Achieves a Rare Perfect Score from Japanese Bible Famitsu

@Nerdfather1 To express criticism and concerns is correct. I'm not saying that there don't exist nagging PlayStation fanboys either. But to badmouth a game, just because you do not have the chance to play it, is just stupid. And that is exactly what many comment writers are doing on YouTube. I'm looking forward to the Metacritic User Score.

@Lobbo95 Thanks. I also find it amazing that there is an extreme outcry when a Nintendo exclusive title gets badly rated by users (Astral Chain, Zelda BotW); but regarding PlayStation exclusives getting mediocre/bad reviews, you hardly hear a beep. Illustrates well which people are active in the YouTube comments.

I meant fanboys. Not fans. There is a difference between being a fan or a fanboy. Fanboys badmouth every other system/game they don’t like and often even insult gamers with different opinions. And if you take a look at some YouTube comments, regarding Kojima's newest game, there are an awful lot of them.

Personally, I prefer playing on PS4 Pro and Vita, but I also own a Xbox One X and a Switch. Every system/game has its pros and cons. But being a fanboy and doing things like downvoting a game on Metacritic (Astral Chain; I’m sure, this will happen to Death Stranding as well), for instance, or insulting other people’s opinions is just laughable and can influence decisions in a negative way to buy and enjoy certain titles.

@MadAussieBloke See? It’s one hell of an action packed job! Smashing people with delivery boxes! Fanboys don’t know what they are hating on! ;P

@Lobbo95 Exactly, thanks. I think, there is nothing wrong with mocking some haters. :>

Re: PS4 Devs Are Finding New Ways to Add More Trophies to Their Games

@Netret0120 I see. That’s a nice change. I have a long way to go to change my mindset in a similar way. Shortly, I’ve even bought a game, that guaranteed an easy Platinum, even though it was mediocre at best („Sigi - A Fart for Melusina“; not kidding here, that’s really the name of this 30 minutes „long“ game ) and an add-on to enable faster experience hunting in another title, that I honestly also still don’t like that much (a DLC for „Nights of Azure 2“ to get that Level 50-Platinum faster; otherwise the level grinding will take forever). And when money makes it’s way into trophy hunting... it can’t get worse than that, I think. It feels kinda like an addiction. Hopefully, one day I’ll be able to enjoy games as... yeah... games again. For their gameplay, story; instead of looking up how hard the trophies are to get, before even thinking about buying a title of interest.

Edit: Regarding the topic: Being already a trophy addict, including more trophies in games will result in more unfinished titles in my backlog. On the other hand: Taking it objectively into perspective, more trophies are a good thing though.

@GamingFan4Lyf I also don’t like trophies. But it’s some kind of psychological thing going on with me. I hate it, when my trophy list shows a game with less than 70% trophy progression. Some games are so huge, that they take their fair amount of time to get to that number of completion. Witcher 3, for example. I’ve never finished that game, because I was so forced to collect as much trophies as possible, doing lots of sidequests to level up or trophy-necessities like practicing to counter enemy attacks without getting hurt (on deathmarch difficulty). That’s only my opinion though. And my messed up brain when it comes to trophies/achievements.

And Sony needs to improve the German PSN Store too. Dang, Doom 3 was out on every platform and country, except Deutschland. Three weeks later, we finally got the curtesy to download the game as well.

About the Vita Store... Erm... Better not talk about it. Resembles a virtual ghost town.

@manu0 Nah, I rather think, it's about Nintendo fanboys who defend their favorite franchises again and are mad at Sony for copying Nintendo ... again. In Germany, we say: "A good copy is better than a bad invention." I'm supporting this.

My personal experiences in social media are, that Nintendo's community is the loudest and most annoying, followed by the "PC Master Race" and Xbox, damage controlling, fans. Sony's community surprises me though. There are fanboys as well, but only a few compared to the other competitors. It's fascinating.
