Re: Slay an Ancient Evil in Samurai Maiden, Coming to PS5, PS4 in 2022

@DTfeartheBEARD On PlayStation, there is a chance of getting a censored game, regarding Sony's last three years of anime game censorships. On Switch, drops in performance and lower resolution may have an impact on how the game will run and look like. Hard to decide… Personally, I’d get the better running and looking version on PlayStation.

I’m also not a fan of my Switch (has a lot of badly optimised multiplatform games, running at 20 fps and/or with muddy textures, pop ins, etc.) and use it mostly for some of Nintendo's exclusives. But duuude: Saying, that the console is still a Kids’ gaming machine is sooo old fashioned. Starting from 2018 Sony has become extremely censorship happy, so that the Switch is looking very mature in comparison to the PS4 and 5. ^^

I’ve found this list: https://censorship-history.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_games_censored_by_Sony

Mostly playable Japanese novels with young/underage looking girls have been censored visually - I guess, it’s true what AdamNovice has written though. Devil May Cry 5 is an exception. Other games like Catherine have gotten slightly censored in speech/text. Not that big of a deal in my book. I’d still prefer censored games over bad Switch ports any day. :/

The Vita store is still a mess, unfortunately. Hardly anything gets updated, there are often problems with downloads and many games are missing screenshots and even thumbnails. The only thing I like more about Nintendo is, how much love they put into keeping their shops organized. Even the Wii U has still a cleaner store than the Vita.
