I occassionally notice a Vita games being discounted on PSN when I hit filter on the PS4 sales and set platform to Vita. I think it's always cross buy games though, and the choice of games tends to be pretty slim. Still worth checking though, I found a few decent games I've never heard of doing that.

Fair play, the dude shows some impressive skills. The super slowly chipping away at health bars doesn't make for the most entertaining spectacle for me though. Would like to see him do, let's say, a no box run on Resident Evil 3 on Inferno difficulty. That would be much more exciting for me to watch.

This is the one game I will be sad not to be able to play on PS5. The Outer Worlds 2, can't play everything I suppose.

That's excellent news, well done Sony. So many incredible indie games on Playstation, great to see the developers looked after in tough times like this.

I'm really enjoying Resident Evil 3 so far, it's great fun. Resistance is enjoyable too but maybe could do with some more balancing. A next gen Resi 4, I'd love to see what improvements they can make over the original.

I'm sure you're right! But, I've waited this long, so...
My general rule is to purchase on release or wait for a discount. Can't break the habit of a lifetime, not with this backlog.

Still waiting for a half decent discount on this one, does look fun.

Yes, it was really good fun, I agree. Really enjoyable story mode, definitely looking forward to the next game.

I love mechs but surely half the fun of them is when they're firing missiles and assaults cannons at one another or punching each other in the face?

Available on newsagent stands right now, most of which appear to be closed at the moment.

Smart strategy to keep banging that drum, but I have a feeling that showing off the actual games is what will sway the most people. And there's still plenty of time to prepare for that.

Costume looks cool, I'm just sad they skipped on the mercenaries mode. I'm sure I'll get over it eventually.

I was already quite interested in Disco Elysium after hearing all the praise it's had. Sounding more and more essential.

The first one was probably one of the most enjoyable games on the Vita for me. Just the right level of challenge and had that 'one more go' ingredient that makes a game like this great.

I didn't ask for anything, just said it was a good bet due to its popularity. Stop trolling.

Refusing to even hint at a release date makes me wonder if this is the new, Deep Down. Could be years away from releasing.

Yes, it has happened for a few games, I purchased currency for Elite Dangerous when it was reduced briefly in a psn sale. You need to keep an eye as each sale comes though. Use the store filters, currency sales aren't advertised on the blogs.

I think saying to avoid another Resident Evil 3 situation is a bit harsh, Liam. Makes it sound like it's just one for the bargain bin.
A Resident Evil 4 remake would be very popular, I'm sure, seems a good bet.

Thesixthaxis gave it a 9 as well, definitely a site to trust for review scores in my experience.

Wow, that is a shame, they really did strip a lot out of this game, mercenaries mode as well. I'll still play it but must admit my expectations were pretty high after Resi 2. Ah well.

Mine has been very loud recently, thinking it's really going to struggle in the summertime. Fingers crossed they nail this on PS5.

Played the demo last night, great fun. That dodge mechanic is pretty awesome, very satisfying to nail the timing and successfully avoid an attack.

I don't mind losing this particular function. But I still enjoy playing PS3 games, collecting trophies for those, as well as watching Netflix and other catch up TV, so hopefully it's only because people dont really use the messaging system much.

Well, 'fidgety' is an improvement over 'butthurt' at least so there is that? Still sad to see the eagerness to stir the pot though and making an issue when there isn't one.

No way, man. Bring back games on cassette tapes with ten minute load times and using a pen when all the tape came unravelled. Kids these days, eh? Back in my day..

I remember all the arguments about the N64 being twice as powerful as the PSone back in the day. Look how that turned out. Numbers mean very little on their own.

Both superb games, would be silly to suggest otherwise. I probably won't download them personally, unless the communty here is keen to set up some online races on Dirt 2, that could be fun.

This being on the Vita makes it considerably more tempting. And it has a platinum trophy which is always nice!

That Theme Hospital game that came out recently. Unlikely but you never know.

I was planning to trade the ps4 in for the PS5 on release, now I'm not sure what I'll do. Really do not want to lose access to my ps4 library. But there's only so much room under the telly.

I really liked that trophy, was a proper challenge.

Still easily one of my most anticipated games, first I've heard of it having Deathmatch. Will be brilliant fun, I'm sure.

Is this site really going to start calling people butthurt? I'm sure there's a fair argument to suggest these fans are overreacting but it reads more like a young teenager posting on social media. You can do better than that.

I loved the original game, looking forward to seeing all the extra detail they add now.

I would like to think Sony are smart enough to not react to a few bored souls on social media. Those toxic playgrounds rarely have anything of value to offer society, be it Twitter or whatever.

To be fair, a fair number of people bought Dreams months ago for the early access.

Played a little bit of Metro Exodus earlier, some really fun story telling in there.
Might play some more of Dreams later, despite the shortness of Art's Dream, it's still taking me a few sessions to get through it, loving it.

PixelJunk™ Monsters 2 is down to £2.49, very tempting at that price.

It's more the fact that we're coming to the end of a generation soon and there are a considerable amount of high quality games coming out, combined with so many top games in the backlog, I find a certain ruthlessness is required at this point, as there's no chance there will be enough time to play every game that looks interesting.

I've been jumping between so many games in the last few days. Metro Exodus, Zombie Army Trilogy, Duck Tales Remastered and Hollow Knight. Can hopefully get a good go on Dreams soon as well.
I usually try to focus on just the one game at a time, haha.

I skipped Detroit so that is interesting to know. Good to know I didn't really miss out there.

Just waiting for the day they do this with Persona 4 for PS5.

I commend you for not being upset, not worth losing sleep over this sort of thing. I do understand the argument that there are considerably more complex and involved games out there that would be the more obvious choice for the bigger awards.

But I often find the most fun I have is with the smaller indie games, and sometimes a short indie experience will stay with me much more than a long campaign from a big budget triple A game, so it does please me to see them not being overlooked for this sort of thing.
Controversial perhaps, but it does generate some interesting discussion.

What's next? A game where a frog tries to dodge traffic while it crosses a busy road, putting the poor drivers in danger? Let's hope not.

I wasn't expecting all this indignation in the comments. I've yet to play the goose game but it looks very entertaining and different.

Why are people so upset over this? Bad experience with a goose while having a picnic by the river? Certainly no laughing matter. Let me know which goose it was and I'll endeavor to have words with them.

Agreed that Crimes & Punishment was very good, hope we get to see another game as good as that.
