People saying Detroit going multiplatform, but the IP belongs to Sony. If Quantic Dream releases a game for another platform, it should be a new series.
@get2sammyb Talking about Astro Bot, the game won a GOTY award, the same goes to Yakuza 6 according to GOTY Picks blogspot. Spider-Man is doing great too, with 15 awards.
@ShogunRok Yeah, the game looks impressive, I’m just worried about having many side activities. Even if I really liked Origins, I wanted to finish the game soon after several hours. Anyway, I will definitely try it.
By the way, would you guys consider Odyssey better than Origins? I didn’t want to play a new AC so soon, but I had a great time with Origins, being in Egypt and all. I will buy Odyssey later.
@NecuVise In the end, God of War and Spider-Man sold way more worldwide, and Forza is the only game made by MS that sometime appears on charts. So yeah, he is not spreading misinformation...
And many people were saying that exclusives don’t matter, also that Spider-Man would not sell well because other games being released at the same time -.-
Maybe The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima are coming in 2019? Probably not though. Anyway, I can wait for the best experience possible. With games like Dreams, Days Gone, Medievil, Concrete Genie and all PSVR games, Sony still have a solid lineup this year. Maybe not as good as 2018, but last year was stellar.
Dude, how I want to play Astro Bot. I mean, there are so many PSVR games that I'm interested already, but Astro Bot looks really special and I'm a huge fan of 3D platformers.
Many are saying that is the best 3D platformer released recently.
@get2sammyb @Cutmastavictory I never played Socom so much, just a little bit the first game on PS2, but isn’t the series more tactical than the likes of pubg and fortnite?
Yeah Square, consoles will disappear, single-player games are irrelevant. PC and e-sports are the big deal. Pachter, Eurogamer and Gamespot approve this message.
@OmegaYato So all the 100 publications who gave the award to God of War are also called Push Square?
If you didn’t like the game, fine, but now you’re acting desperate.
Edit: Now there are 102 Push Square sites according to you.
@OmegaYato Ok, that’s your opinion, funny that you mentioned Nintendo games, all their games are really overrated. Jim Sterling said the truth about Breath of the Wild.
Anyway, that’s your opinion and it’s fine, but God of War is being praised by many, also it’s the game with most GOTY awards last year.
Great article, I just disagree about the crossplay thing, it was a non issue created by the gaming media just to make theirs pals looking good. They ignore many problems of the other side like locking F2P games behind a paywall, microtransactions and goes on, but suddenly the lack of crossplay was the boogeyman of the industry.
Not just my GOTY, but also my game of the generation. I’m really happy for Cory Barlog and Santa Monica. The sequel already is my most anticipated game, especially after the ending. (no spoilers) The gameplay is a blast, the story is incredible, Kratos struggles with his past while he wants to be a great father to Atreus. He wants a better life for his son and doesn’t want him to follow the path of revenge and destruction, like Kratos in Greece. There are so many unforgettable scenes, but I will not mention here because of spoilers. God of War is easily one of my favorite series, and this new game is my favorite until now. Like a wise man living in New York always say, word up son.
A great game without a doubt, with a really great campaign, cast, soundtrack and missions. Arthur is awesome, impressive how Rockstar created another unforgettable main character. I prefer the stranger missions of the first game and didn’t like the side-quests that much, but let’s focus in the positive aspects. Red Dead Redemption 2 is my third favorite game this year.
@Lino Hahaha seriously? They ignore all the Sony exclusives and praise a platform with no exclusives (all games also available on PC). Can’t forget about the terrible practices like microtransactions and f2p.
@AdamNovice Yeah, I heard about that as well, maybe it's Demon's Souls remastered being developed by Japan Studio and Bluepoint? A new ip? More Astro Bot?
I would love more Gravity Rush, but the developer already said that the story is finished for the series.
@get2sammyb It's an incredible game indeed, sadly the producers of The Lost Legacy left Naughty Dog recently, I'm not so sure.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy are awesome and I really don't want the series to be saturated. Someday, Sony can bring Uncharted back, but now it's too soon, at least let the series rest a little.
Many series that we are waiting for so long should come back before: Jak and Daxter; Syphon Filter are some examples.
Anyway, I hope for the best and we can trust Sony with so many great exclusives being released.
@playstation1995 All games in your list I’m also interested, and I would include Dreams, Doom 2, Metro, Rage 2, Concrete Genie, Left Alive, Psychonauts 2.
@get2sammyb Naughty Dog finished Uncharted with a golden key, the story of Nathan Drake is over. Of course it has the potential for spin-offs and prequels, but it has a big risk to saturate an already acclaimed series.
Just look what happened with Halo and Gears of War, these new games are nothing special, that’s what I’m afraid the same happens here.
The studios of Sony are way better than MS, but I still think it’s better to move on and create a new ip. Remember Star Wars 1313? The trailer was so similar with Uncharted, imagine a new action ip but with sci fi settings.
@JJ2 Looks like this new studio is formed by some folks who worked previously on Naughty Dog and Uncharted series. And according to the recruitment jobs, they are looking to create a third person action game.
Don’t want to be negative, but Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy already closed the series with a golden key. Nathan and Elena have their deserved happy ending.
The series has potential to continue, Sony knows Uncharted is really popular, but I really hope they don’t start to saturate it.
Hooray, my second favorite game this year. It was a huge year for Spider-Man, with the game being a success and also the awesome movie Spider-Verse. It’s also important to remember that we lost Stan Lee and Ditko this year, both legends, may they Rest In Peace.
Can’t wait for the sequel already, so many things still need to happen.

Yakuza Kiwami, maybe I will start Iconoclasts too.

@brubeck Brexit means brexit.
Re: Dreams Beta Sign Ups Are Live Now for North America and Europe
I will not be signing because it’s not available in my region, and that’s completely understandable because it’s not a big market.
But I will buy the game on day one, meanwhile also read faqs, trying to understand how to use the creation system.

God of War and Spider-Man for the win.

Re: Don't Pay Too Much Attention to New SOCOM Speculation
It should come back, there are many fans of the series but it looks like that Sony is not interested in Socom anymore.
What I would really love is a sequel of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time on PS4.
Also Jak and Daxter back.

@TheArt Right now, God of War is the most acclaimed game of 2018 with 100 GOTY awards and not including sites that cover PlayStation only.

What a great year PS4 had, it’s weird that many on the media are not mentioning this.
Anyway, PS4 and PSVR received great exclusives and many games. 2018 could be considered this generation best year for Sony yet.
