@BrettAwesome Agreed. While I appreciate the irony of responding to you over the Internet, unknown to one another, I think social media is one of the worst things the Internet brought with it.
I know times, and gaming trends have changed, but I played it once. I liked it. I moved on. I'm not a big Naughty Dog fan, but I would like to know what they're up to.
@colonelkilgore Really. It's been a consistently great year, and we could have easily a dozen nominations. Having said that, I feel like it's so evenly spread because there's been nothing truly outstanding.
From a personal perspective, The Game Awards, and every other awards show, are completely meaningless and cringeworthy. Having said that, I'm here to say Persona 3 is my GotY, and that's good enough for me.
While Kadokawa aren't involved in a single thing I'm interested in, I think it'd be good business for Sony. Having said that, I don't trust the company at all since Hulst took control.
@MrPeanutbutterz I'm no fan of Sekiro, so that's really not saying much. 😂 I have plenty to play right now, I'll get able to give it a try eventually. I do wonder how successful it'd have been if it'd have featured some nondescript fully clothed bloke rather than the popular Eve.
I mean ... $2? New outfits are cool, but playing dress-up isn't really the primary focus for me. Cool crossover content for fans, obviously. I can see this being closer to $10. Ehhh, I'll hedge my bets at $7.99.
Looking forward to giving this game a go when it's $30 or less.
Nothing fancy at all. Likely some Black Ops 6, and The Division 2.
Almost up to prestige 1 on BO6. It's the same high technical quality as usual, but I definitely much prefer the Modern Warfare games. Hard to explain, but they just have a slightly different feel.
They're pushing this franchise so hard. I wouldn't mind if I actually really liked it. I don't even think it's as good some Assassins Creed games. I'll play a 3rd game in the series, but have no interest whatsoever in the extraneous titles.
Does it really matter? They've been going this way for years. All I see is moving targets. I think there's room in the market for a serious military shooter, though. Looking forward to seeing how Delta Force turns out.
Long-time fan of DQ games. I have more than enough to play right now and Black Friday is right around the corner which'll probably lead to purchases, so it'd be foolish of me to buy it now. I'll definitely look to pick it up moving forward.
Looks beautiful, and very reminiscent of Octopath Traveler. Hopefully there'll be a patch or adjustment of the encounter rate. A lot of modern games can unnecessarily overcomplicate things and get far too self-involved, so the simplistic story approach is very appealing. I do like that even modern DQ games adopt a very traditional style, too.
@ShogunRok You mention a glacial pace, grindy nature, and an element of being able to speed it up. Obviously sprawling RPG's are hard to put a number on, but on average how long do you feel it is? Also, I'm no trophy hunter, but a good list can add an extra dimension to some games. Is it reasonably achievable and well thought out, or kind of by the numbers? Appreciate the balanced review and I enjoy reading your work.
@LikelySatan You're right in so far as we don't know exactly what kind of MTX we're talking about. If it's like previous games we're it's a few themed costumes and weapons, then I don't care. I never feel like I'm missing anything with stuff and don't feel any impulse to purchase. We know the game is likely to be massive and if it's anywhere near Valhalla's girth, I'll probably be tired before the end.
MK, and fighting games in general have been heavily affected affected my MTX. might possibly be excusable if they retailed for, say, 30. But they gouge fans really badly. I want the latest Tekken, but I refuse to pay more than 30, knowing full well I'll want some of the later content.
Back to AC, we'll just have to wait and see. One thing we do know is, it needs to be a success, and they need fans back on their side. I don't see it being crazily predatory. I'm hoping for the best, and I'm excited to get back into an AC world.
Just as excited to play it now as I was when it was announced. None of the side stories, Ubisoft drama, game politics, MTX, or anything else matter. I'll play it, I'll hopefully enjoy it, and then I'll move on.

Re: Test Your PlayStation General Knowledge - Issue 30
Not unhappy with 7. Some obscure questions there! Thanks for the work put in on these, they're fun!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 556
Division 2 with some mates. Ubisoft might be a lot of things, but you can't fault their post-release support. It's absolutely phenomenal.

I wasn't expecting much, and it turned out to be even worse. Rubbish.

Re: Rumour: EA Going All-In on Battlefield 6 in Bold Attempt to Revitalise Franchise
I'm excited for this. CoD has taken a big step back this year, in my opinion. So between Battlefield 6, and Delta Force, I'm ready for a new FPS.
Re: The Callisto Protocol Haunts in 8K with Huge PS5 Pro Patch
@Loamy Literally. Media hype killed this game. It's not spectacular, but it's solid fun. Definitely worth playing with tempered expectations.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Farming Simulator 25 Crops Up in a Nintendo-Heavy Top 10
I picked up FS25. It's going to keep me interested for probably 500+ hours.
Re: Feature: Why Would Sony Want to Buy Kadokawa?
@LogicStrikesAgain Yes, I formed my opinion poorly. Thanks for understanding!
Re: Remedy Offers Control 2 Insight, AAA Action RPG on €50 Million Budget
I'm no Remedy fan. Control was ok, and AW2 remains unfinished. Best of luck to them.

It's killed whatever little credibility they had. Just introduce a best DLC award.

Re: PS5 Consoles, Controllers, and PSVR2 Discounts for Black Friday Seemingly Revealed
Tempted by the Edge controller, but a 20 discount isn't enough for me. Knock off 50 and I'd bite.
