Re: Mini Review: Ticket to Ride - A Basic But Fun Version of a Classic Board Game

Powerpellet

What do you do in the game? What is this game about? Where is the review? All I know now is that it came out already and the AI plays different than a human. And its a board game. Is it similar to Catan? Chutes and Ladders with cards? Do I take turns forming colorful lines until my opponent blocks my progress like Pente? Do I ride a bus or a train or something? Is it a game for small childeren or adults? Who knows? Anybody played this know what kind of game this is?

Yeah I cant even play the my careers stuff anymore. I just want to make a player with great stats, give him my name and drop him in the roster and play out a season dominating the league and breaking records. No inside in depth story cutscenes and slow progression for me, that off court drama stuff always sucks .

For me it's because they are the type of game I like and I haven't played these new ones. I dont hate retro type games just because they keep making them, since they are still good fun and theres no reason to hate playing them. Especially shoot-em-ups.
Strangely I agree with you about the music imitations. Musics more connected to a transient vibe that doesn't take to replication well in a different climate.

I always heard EA cant afford the asking price of todays boxers and promoters to make a new Fight Night. Well it's been forever since the last Fight Night, what if they made up for lost time? I bet EA could afford just retired boxers and Id still play it.

@LobsterJohnson
Every time no matter who is winning you'll hear this.
Lampley: Let's go to our own Larry Merchant. Larry, how do you see this?
Merchant: Ok Jim, I got (the house fighter) winning 10 rounds to nothing; He's just the busier fighter out there.

Its better when you hear me. I do a great Larry Merchant.

Even though you don't care, I couldn't agree more strongly with basically everything you've said. Social media is snitching and a government tool used to spy on you and all the crap about it that's cluttering my PS4 annoys the hell out of me too. The built in mic with the controller always listening is the reason a PS5 wont be allowed into my house.
When I said this before foolish people I wasnt addressing went ballistic and just started calling me names and attacking so I get it.
@djlard
I agree

@Xaessya
Twinstick shooters are the most fun games of all. Not sure why it wouldnt keep me occupied for long.

I feel because its a small indie the reviewer kicks it to the curb. Almost all the big budget titles are the same game play different cutscene to me and I have to slog on for a long time in between my fun. Twin sticks and shooters are always thrilling so it's usually what I play most.

First, yes Im serious. I value my privacy and havent given up like most. I read your comment a couple of times but I'm struggling to understand the direction of your point. The same reason they wont let you change out the phone batteries is the same as a built in mic. For me my value of discretion overrides someone else's desire to record my behaviors.

Re: Poll: Should Free PS4 Games Be Given Away to Those in Isolation?

@clvr
It seems your take is that you are siding with the company over the people receiving a game. You dont want Sony to spend the money. You are concerned for them because it would be bad for their bottom line. Magnanimous gestures are not something to be considered. You only see them spending money on a charity which would be more worthy but assume they certainly they could not do both. And it's their call besides.
Amazingly this also is my original point.

Re: Poll: Should Free PS4 Games Be Given Away to Those in Isolation?

For some reason people think a free game will somehow stop Sony from donating money to find a cure. I highly doubt that and I'm not sure where that thinking even comes from. The other brain quagmire is that bandwidth is restricted so it would be wrong somehow. Again why the static thinking? Must you suppose it absolutely has to be a giant game? Why not a small one? All this virtue signaling is based on some real leaps of logic. It's ok to get a free game.
