Re: The Last of Us Is Getting a PS5 Remake Eight Years After Release, Claims Report

Shepard93n7

This has been a disastrous PR month for Sony, I still don't have a PS5 but not gonna lie, I'm in the verge of becoming full PC gamer. They're abandoning everything that made playstation great, and focusing on blockbuster bullcrap, they dropped Kojima, they closed Japan Studios, the competition is way ahead with banger services and features... as a former PS fan Is really frustrating.

We should start a "PS3 has no games"-like campaign against PS5 to see if they come back on track. We need Shawn Layden back more than never.

Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Details All Kinds of Gameplay Improvements to Combat, Mako, Character Creation, and More

Shepard93n7

The inventory fixes on ME1 are much appreciated, I played on PS3 and I remember having a pain in the ass converting every obsolete item into omnigel, the cursor is slow, it doesn't have memory on the previous selection (which means you have to scroll back to were the trash items are) and you have to convert every item one by one. Other than that is profit, as my name suggest I will not think twice and will buy this trilogy for the second time. The game will run at 60fps even on base PS4 right?

Re: E3 2021 Confirmed for June, Sony Nowhere to Be Seen

Shepard93n7

As everyone prolly should know, Sony doesn't need E3 but E3 needs Sony. The biggest gaming event by views last year was Sony's "The future of Gaming" and this year will be the same, no brainer, obviously they'll keep the same approach with a stand alone event which is cheaper and they can choose their own schedule. Sony and the ESA are in bad terms so I don't expect them to return any time soon.

Re: Sony Game MLB The Show 21 Will Be Free with Game Pass on Xbox, Full-Price on PS5, PS4

Shepard93n7

They gonna get a huge and we'll deserved backlash for this. How In the world is Sony/PlayStation allowing this??? It's a first party game! They could put it on PS+ or Now also, but they're giving away the game to the competition user base and making their users pay full price. I've never seen a more disrespectful movement by a videogame company against their user base before (maybe the nintendo ones).

I assume they have something on the sleeve to counter this, I suppose Microsoft payed big to Sony to make this happen so I'm hopping to see more non-MLB first party games at San Diego soon.

Re: Reaction: What Next for PlayStation?

Shepard93n7

I hope time proves me wrong but I think PlayStation will do nothing, Jim Ryan is a laid down guy who only thinks in his pocket and not in the brand's future. They closed Japan Studios because their games don't sell instead of taking more risk and giving the studio more money to make an AAA game that can compare to God of War, Uncharted or Horizon, and surely they won't invest billions in acquiring a big Bethesda-like publisher if they can't see a quick return in money. He only invest in things that can sell 10M+, all the ambition is gone, I hope Sony can see this and then proceeds to get rid of this guy, they need the vision of Kaz Hirai or Shawn Layden to come back.

Re: Bloodborne, Demon's Souls PS5 Producer Leaves Sony Japan Studio

Shepard93n7

If Sony wants Japan Studios to become a big seller house like Insomniac, Naughty Dog or Santa Monica they must let the devs make big games: Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Monster Hunter "level" games with huge marketing campaigns so the people can gain interest and buy them. They have been just a support studio for a long time: Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, Rougue Galaxy, Folklore, are games where they weren't the main developers, and Astrobot and Gravity Rush games are small titles.

No wonder why the big names are leaving, their talent is being wasted because the big budget is getting to America/Europe. Bloomberg was right and I hate to admit it.

Re: Silent Hill, Gravity Rush Veterans Leave Sony Japan Studio to Form New Team

Shepard93n7

Part of the reasons I chose to play on PlayStation since many years is because they had strong support by Western and Japanese games and devs. Now that seems to be a thing of the past, they're more focused on the Western market, just look at Kratos in Fortnite or the rumours of rapper Travis Scott directing a PlayStation game, it's disappointing, PlayStation need a new directive ASAP, we need Shawn Layden and Kaz Hirai equivalents in the wheel again, maybe Shuhei Yoshida.

@Crazybuttocks198 getting independent for creative freedom to being again a slave of another mayor company??? That doesn't make sense.

Re: PlayStation Fans Are Worried Microsoft Could Buy Warner Bros' Gaming Division

Shepard93n7

I would not be happy without Rocksteady games on PlayStation, fingers crossed for a multiplat publisher to make the buyout.

Also, people saying "but Sony took away Spiderman, why Microsoft can't have Batman?", hello? Microsoft took Hellblade, future Obsidian games and future Double Fine games ¿Why would you want third party studios to go exclusive? Let the multiplats alone, same goes for Sony.

Re: Sounds Like Bloodborne Will Release on PC

Shepard93n7

@SaikoWaifu2003 attachment rates are an inaccurate metric to guess the real impact of exclusives in console sales, there are much more than 20% of PS4 users that buy console for it's exclusives but that attachment rate can't let you see the "big picture", for example, not everyone will buy every exclusive game, some people will rent those games, others will receive games as gifts, others will borrow games from a friend, others will buy used games, some people make game exchanges, others are still waiting for a price drop, also not everyone has the same tastes, I can like FIFA, Uncharted and Infamous, but the guy on my side can like cod, final fantasy, gravity Rush, Bloodborne, etc. In the end every person above chose PS4 directly or indirectly for it's exclusives and those number are not reflected on game sales.

People need to stop using the "attachment rate" argument, it's pointless, instead of comparing exclusive sales vs console sales it's better to compare number of people that have and play exclusives regularly vs console sales, but that info is harder to track I guess.

Re: PlayStation 'Committed' to Strong Story-Driven Single-Player Games on PS5 and Beyond

Shepard93n7

@FullbringIchigo Please stop using that pointless argument to defend the poor Xbox performance in sales this generation. All the "always connected" BS never happened, they backtracked these politics before the console launch, they cut the console price in less than 2 years, they put the backward compatibility, they put the Xbox brand in prostitution with the play anywhere and the game pass, and still didn't managed to sell at least 50M. Xbox is an irrelevant brand and PlayStation is coming the same way.
