Re: Gallery: Astro Bot Has the Best PS5 Controller Design Yet

Shepard93n7

I still can't believe there's not a single Square Enix cameo in Astro Bot, not even a Buster Sword just like in Astro's Playroom. This breaks my heart, Square Enix has been very important for playstation but seems like they relationship is not as good as before. I hope I'm wrong and they add plenty of FF content on the free DLC.

Now, the controller looks amazing, I hope I can grab one very soon.

Re: Things Are Getting Worse for Floundering PS5, PC FPS Concord

Shepard93n7

Sony needs to abandon this failed game before it's too late. Buy Arrowhead and Leave Firewalk as a support studio for them, and start investing more in Helldivers 2, so the game can finally be played without bugs, improve performance and add more content at a faster pace. (And shake the higher ups so they stop nerfing weapons just because).

Re: Concord's Free Open Beta Is Performing Abysmally on PC

Shepard93n7

@Atreus97 if you refer to live service games in general then yes, Sony needs these to maintain high profits to bring more single player hits, but they already have tons of third party live service games that generates lots of money thanks to royalties.

Now, if they want to make their own live service games, they should not be specifically like this concord. The hero shooter phenomenon was the thing 6 years ago, not anymore. Also there's a big chunk of the community concerned that this game was made to push and prioritize certain narratives by the pronouns issue. Not to mention the uninspired gameplay and ugly characters. If we let this game succeed we'll be installing a dangerous precedent on the gaming landscape, it's clear that for the people who loves good and quality games this is unacceptable.

Re: Stellar Blade's Demo Had Way More Daily Active Players Than Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's

Shepard93n7

I've finished Ch12 on Rebirth and now I'm getting worried reading all these comments about the game ending, is it that bad??? (Please no spoilers).

Anyways, these recent Square Enix failures on PS exclusives are depressing, SE is one of my favorite developers and PS my main platform (alongside PC), and the fact people are not heavily buying those game, despite being awesome, is disappointing. Both SE and Sony are good partners and I hope they keep collaborating in the future.

On the other hand, I'm very happy for Stellar Blades, I played the demo and immediately pre-ordered the Deluxe edition, not to mention the trophy list made me even more exited for the game, so I hope the final release gets the love it deserves.

Re: Reaction: What Happens to PlayStation if Microsoft Buys Activision Blizzard?

Shepard93n7

It's depressing seeing so many people championing the monopolization and consolidation of the industry.

The floodgates are open and I'm seeing big players like Amazon and Tencent spending big money in publishers so they don't stay behind. Sony will probably be affected after the next 10 years, and they must be more aggressive in order to stay competitive. I'm seeing them buying at least square enix as a protective move in the near future.

Re: Media Molecule to Cease Live Service for Dreams, Now Working on a New Project

Shepard93n7

At the risk of sounding like a spoiled child, I would say I'm not buying more games from these guys. They had several ways to give new life to the game, such as releasing a native PS5 version, a PC port, a PS+ Release, a free to play version, not to mention they left on the table features like PSVR2 support and Multiplayer. All they did was promoting those cringy awards and waste time, this mess doesn't give me confidence into their next game, unless is entirely single player non-creative focused.

Given the poor performance of Dreams I fully expect Sony to shut down MM if their next game is not a hit, and I see that as an opportunity to buying a better studio more appealing to the majority of the PS audience.

Re: Reaction: Sony Continues to Fumble the State of Play Format

Shepard93n7

For the contrary, I believe they know exactly what to do with this format, the problem is that people always has unrealistic expectations that will never be met, they think every SOP must be a mini E3 with big announcements and that's not the intention, they want to promote smaller games and one or another inhouse or third party AAA, the two previous SOP were pretty decent, but every SOP can't necessarily be like that.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Multiplayer Leak Shows Old Build with Fortnite-Style Characters

Shepard93n7

If they're making this game with Fortnite Style graphics then I already hate it. I'm totally in for a Horizon co-op game, I love Monster Hunter and Horizon can be a strong IP to challenge Capcom in that area, but i'm F-ing tired of games using that cartoonish art style, this franchise is a showcase of the Playstation power, making it that way is a disrespect to the series.

I understand if the idea is releasing the game on PS4, PS5 and PC they probably want the game to be accessible for many systems, but there are better ways to achieve that.

Re: Sony Won't Let Microsoft's $69 Billion Activision Acquisition Go, Stresses It's Bad for Gaming

Shepard93n7

I'm shocked reading some "Xbox fans" saying Sony is being hypocrite just because they had exclusive deals in the past, like if this buyout is remotely the same thing. Most of the former PS exclusive games from third party devs are bein released or will be on Xbox. Meanwhile everyone doubts the same thing will happen with Acti-Bliz games after the buyout.

Regardless I believe Sony should focus on their own stuff and assume these games are lost. The attitude they're having towards this deal is pathetic.

Re: MultiVersus Is the Biggest Fighting Game on the Planet Right Now

Shepard93n7

It may be the current big thing, but the game is ass.

I have to hard disagree with this site's opinion, the game is too far from Smash sole: very few characters, and I'm missing an arcade mode or some sort of campaign like in Smash Ultimate, but I guess is just a beta. Also the lag... I can't play "good" because my character is always teleporting all over the arena, so I have to smash and spam buttons, this even happens fighting against Bots!!!! and my internet connection is pretty good.

Other than that, the animations are good, the music is good and the gameplay is pretty solid, I like the co-op features, I hope they address the lacks of this game very soon but this is why I hate service oriented games, they're always unfinished products and I hate the fact that the gaming industry is going more and more into that route.

PD: I hope Sony can bring back PS All-stars some day. But I want a more serious attempt this time, that means BIG budget, maybe a renowned japanese studio can take the task so the game can have top tier gameplay, and of course lots of characters including popular third parties franchises.

Re: PlayStation Boss Wants a Future Where Sony Games Aren't Gated from a Wider Audience

Shepard93n7

And here we go again. Now you'll have every media outlet and fanboy podcasts saying that Sony is putting everything on PC and other consoles. In the end this is just PR talk to masturbate crowd dreams, Sony is not putting a storefront with their games on PC much less releasing games day and date with PC. If anything they will strengthen their cloud infrastructure to support PS5 games worldwide in the future.

Re: Feature: Our PS5, PS4 Predictions for PlayStation Showcase 2021

Shepard93n7

My realistic predictions are: God of War 5 gameplay, GT7 gameplay and trailer from the new Naughty Dog multiplayer game.

My dream predictions are: Metal Gear Solid Remake by newly acquired Bluepoint, New Fromsoftware exclusive game and a new Twisted Metal.

Side note: if I see a single Deathloop trailer I'm quitting the broadcast in that exact moment.

Re: Sony Completes Acquisition of Anime Giant Crunchyroll

Shepard93n7

They should be buying Square Enix, Sega, Konami or Kadokawa + Fromsoftware instead.

Anyways, is not like this would be affecting playstation in a big way, Sony anime division has been giving the middle finger to playstation since a while, starting from giving access to Funimation to game pass subs and letting owned anime based videogames like Demon Slayer to go multiplat on rival platforms.

It's a little frustrating not seeing Sony with the same buying philosophy as Microsoft, aka, buying everyone they can. In this market, with the raising of subscription services, content is king, so they will need a really strong lineup of well known IPs and studios to stay relevant. Is not like they're not relevant, Don't get me wrong, but MS and Tencent are buying studios like crazy, if they (Sony) don't invest in the future there will be consequences.

Re: With the Steam Deck Announced, This Is What a Next-Gen PSP Could Be

Shepard93n7

I think a new handheld Playstation with the ability to run al the PS4 library plus backwards compatible with PSP and Vita would be crazy. Depending on how they manage the storage solution I think it could sell like pancakes, I mean, you will be able to play Horizon Forbidden West and the new God of War in that thing. But of course it also needs it's own software, maybe Sony could invest more so it doesn't end like the Vita speaking of exclusives; maybe they could outsource Gamefreak for an exclusive JRPG franchise? (They're now owned by Nintendo btw).

Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Less Excited for Deathloop on PS5 Than I Should Be

Shepard93n7

@MaikonCSGarcia yes I know that perfectly, maybe I forgot to say they could made this deal between September 2020 and February 2021 when MS announced the acquisition intention but Bethesda was still independent and was still releasing games for PS5 (they released Doom 3 VR during that period), and I'm not talking about them buying the IP, I'm talking about buying the publishing rights for the first game just like MS did with Sunset Overdrive, in the end this is just a whish/speculation for my part so you don't need to take what I said as a fact.

Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Less Excited for Deathloop on PS5 Than I Should Be

Shepard93n7

I think Sony Should pay for a full console exclusivity, in that way it would make sense to play this game on PS5, also if the sequel turns good is a reason for Xbox players to visit the previous game on PS5. But I get what you're saying, the prospect of this game arriving GP on day one devaluates this PS5 release. I think Sony should allow GP on playstation only if it has only Xbox Game Studios games alongside Bethesda's.

Re: Sony on Upcoming PS5 Games: Wait Until You See What's Coming from Our Third-Party Partners

Shepard93n7

Let's hope at least half of those 3P exclusives are not timed but permanent exclusives on console, if Sony wants to compete with the Bethesda buyout this is the way. People will be mad, but is the same as Bethesda games not coming to Playstation anymore, in the end is not about how many games can you keep away from your rivals, is about being competitive.

Btw I hope to see more Fromsoftware + PS Studios collaborations (cof cof Bloodborne 2 cof cof).
