@Flaming_Kaiser sure it works offline but it miss a lot of the info for your game, that you see on the screen when you are online. there is no reason for this missing, it can be easily available when in offline too. but sony are lazy and just slap a text on screen that says you are offline instead.

@scottdevine48 usb hard drives and flash drives can be used, but there is no talk about a sd card slot.

@potter32 nothing is impossible, the information can be saved locally for offline and to online servers when needed. it really is that easy. dont forget the ps3 had offline trophies and the friendlist was offline too. what they did on the ps4 was just lazy and half arsed.

and hopefully you can see that info when you are offline, because you cant see any info offline on the ps4. you are only met with a message that says your offline.

as long that dream dont have "live service" and "always online" bs in it.

let me put it this way, ps5pro in 3 years.

i did the same in 2013 when ps4 released, i just stuck to my ps3 until ps4pro arrived. i guess people have forgotten the problems the ps4 had and the unfinished ps4os in the 3 first years. in the end the wait for the ps4pro was worth it. you got a more powerful console, the games run better, bigger storage, a ps4os that finally had what was needed, and it was cheaper too buy too.

and this time the wait is no problem either, the ps4 have lots of good games to play and there is even great ps3 games i have still not played...

but with that said, if the ps5 had proper bc for ps3 and ps4 games, i would have bought a ps5 day one. but since it dont, i can happily wait for a ps5pro.

just a warning dirt rally 2.0 is a game that need constant online connection to be played. so you are better of playing the first dirt rally sim game instead, or dirt4 that is a fantastic game where you can choose to play arcade or sim. i recommend more dirt4 than the dirt rally games, dirt4 is just all around the better game.

this just shows that games released on disc is important, and a finished game on disc is more important than ever. the digital future will never replace physical media.

i will not mind an improved and complete game on disc for the ps5 with no day one patch.

as long i dont need to see the 'you need to connect to internet' to see this feature message like on the ps4.

will it also end the day one patch and we get finished games on release too?

@Morzy the ps4 install the content on the hard drive and only do a disc check before loading up. so there is no noise coming from the disc drive other than in the startup. after that its the console fans that make the noise.

i am sure it will be $550, also dont forget you need a tv that support 2.1 hdmi to get the most out of your ps5. or you will just be buying a very expensive ps4.

Limited Run Games, are very limited, very expensive and its a import. so i dont consider this as getting a physical release.

@crazykcarter lg c9/c10 is the only tv that have 2.1 hdmi that you need, if you are gonna go next gen with the ps5. lg c10 is the new model, and its not out yet, but it comes in 48". so i dont think the price will be that high, also there will be deals on the lg c9 that was last year model. if you cant afford a lg c9 or a c10 that gives you 2.1 hdmi. then there is no point in getting a ps5 in the first place. so start saving your money until you can get that tv.

since there is no ps2/ps3 and half arsed ps4 backwards compatibility, i will just wait for the ps5pro.

they have earned that publicity disaster, this half arsed effort when it comes to sonys bc is not acceptable at all.

thay can start with putting the game on the disc so we can play the single player without needing a day one patch. but i guess thats to much to ask for now days.

no bc for ps1,ps2,ps3 and only the top 100 ps4 games will have bc, that is not acceptable. when xbox do everything i expect sony to do the same, and i dont want to hear a word about psnow, psnow can f**k off, streaming is not acceptable replacement for bc.

they launched a beta and unfinished product, give it 5 months and try again, then maybe you will have positive thoughts about it.

my guess why they shut it down is because people cant behave and follow the rules.

was this a digital review or a disc review? if it was a disc review i would like to know if you could play the single player without a patch download and offline.

xbox 12.1 or ps5 13.3, it dont matter because 3 year later there will be a improved pro version of both consoles that will double that.

just go ahead and delay it, i have more than enough with my ps4 and my backlog. so i dont worry at all if there will be a delay. i think the time of the ps5 released is way to early anyway. the ps3 lasted from 2006 to 2015 and that was the perfect console life time, and i got a ps4pro in 2016.

@JohnnyShoulder people that are moaning about the video game 'drought' cant be real gamers. real gamers have a backlog to go through without any 'drought' in sight for at least a year. and if you dont have a backlog there is plenty of great games out there to buy for the ps4 already released.

i have a blacklog of at least 3 years of games. so if the video game developers want to take a break i have no problem with it. and if this leads to finished games put on disc instead of unfinished games that needs day one updates, i am even more for them to take a break.

@DonJorginho i like many games and play many different games. days gone,red dead redemption2, doom, dirt4, tomb raider and many more quality games. cod have just taken a dump, mw2019 was very promising with no lootboxes, boots on the ground etc.. but then they did run it into the ground in my opinion. it started with you couldnt play the single player from the disc, from there on it have been a downhill. in 10 years you will not be able to play mw2019 anymore. just take a look at the ps3 mw3 and blkops2 the servers dont accept new players anymore, and its more laggy than ever before. thats how much activision care for their online games. so seeing activision now going full on with live services for cod, it dont look good. i look at video games as art and not as mcdonald junkfood thats only put out there to milk your wallets. i like to go back 30 years from now and still play my games and not be met with couldnt connect to servers. 'live service' games are a waste of time.

@KingPev the last good cod was infinity warfare, the single player was fantastic and you didnt need to download a patch to be able to play it either. for us that loved the old cod when it was quality before quanity and a full 'live service', the cod as we know it is over. but i dont doubt the mobile fortnite generation, that have been force feed microtransactions for their whole life, will love it. and then we have all those that are not gamers but only play games to earn a living, these so called streamers and infuencers. they will keep it alive for activision to milk them dry for money. so cod will go on, but for me its over.

since the cod games have gone 'live service' they are f**ked. from now on everything is gonna have a paywall/microtransactions everywhere and a insane grind in it. the cod game will never be finished, so expect gigs of download everytime you just want to play it for 30min. cod are done.

if you are still playing on a pc and not have a playstation. then being exposed to playstation games or any marketing tactic are not gonna help. because what is gonna happen is this, pc gamers will just expect the playstation games to come to their pc. so they will not see the need to get a playstation game console.. and that is the facts, to think otherwise is gullible. what guerrilla is doing is foolish and will only hurt them in the long run.

i will wait for the complete edition with everything on the disc before i even bother buying this game, that clearly aint finished yet.

a day one patch usually means they cant be arsed to spend time to finish the game before release. so i will be waiting for a bargin bin sale, and thats what i am gonna do for all games from now on. i am tired of paying 65 dollars or more and then sit there and wait for them to finish the game. while i have a broken unfinished game experience that is missing the fine tuning. then everyone that wait and pay half or even less of the day one price months later, will have a much better game experience.

i heard you have to buy token for respawn, so lost interest pretty quick in this. i can see where activision will be going with microtransations and whatever monetary greed they have planned. they even put it out there as "free" download without needing mw2019. we know what "free" means for activision, sneak in paywalls and rob your wallet foreverything they can "free".

@Neolit you should open it up and change the ps4pro thermal paste and pads, that will help a lot.
