Re: Poll: What Do You Think of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Ending?

Uncharted2007

I had a glitched PS1 copy back in the day that wouldn't let me continue to disc 2. For me, I was finally getting the continuation of the story.

After 20 years, spoilers of the original were known so I expected what came, but the explanation on exactly what was changed as far as fates go is a bit confusing. I'm hoping for clarification on the finale.... some time in 2027.

Re: Rumour: Next Tomb Raider Said to Be Open World, Set in India

Uncharted2007

Finally some news on this. Honestly thought they had canned the series with the way everything was shifting.

It's fine that it's open world so long as they do it right. It's fine that it's in India so long as they don't simply try to emulate Uncharted Lost Legacy. I look forward to seeing an actual announcement and trailer.

Re: Talking Point: Have Sony's Third-Party PS5 Deals Made Up for Its Lack of First-Party Games?

Uncharted2007

@TheAmbienWalrus The good ones do release, but what we consider good or at least worth our time and money is very different. I have less time then ever anymore so it's fine that Sony studios have made PS5 the "throw away generation".

I miss titles like Warhawk (PS3), Twisted Metal, Jet Moto, Destruction Derby, and many others.

What's been announced that I'm looking forward too? Mass Effect 5, new Tomb Raider, Instinction, Witcher 4, FF7 Remake Part 3.

Playstation studios haven't even announced anything I'm interested in. It's a very strange switch after four generations consistently providing anticipation.

Re: Talking Point: Have Sony's Third-Party PS5 Deals Made Up for Its Lack of First-Party Games?

Uncharted2007

Thank God I don't play games as much anymore because what made me a gamer is releasing at a snail's pace. To many great series are left for dead or may as well be. To much emphasis on online competitive games. Development times have skyrocketed to the point that what I'm looking forward to will probably be PS6 titles.

PS5 very much feels like the "Greatness Happened Prior to Now System".

Re: Helldivers 2 PC Is Getting Review Bombed Over PSN Requirement

Uncharted2007

So many in the modern era never mentally grew up. They find like-minded people on the internet and form coalitions to stage some kind of protest. The protest is often over something incredibly petty and this is one of those times. They're essentially toddlers in a toy isle screaming at their mommy that they want a toy.

Pathetic.

Re: Rumour: Resident Evil 9 Reveal and Release Imminent, Out in January

Uncharted2007

@mrbone $70 is justified but as gaming is a luxury, and the world economy is in shambles, the vast majority can't afford it and won't purchase at that price. For me, I'm stubborn as hell and remember the $50 PS1 and PS2 game days like it was last week. Then given my lack of free time, I generally buy only 3 games a year and don't have time to play each of them.

Re: Rumour: Resident Evil 9 Reveal and Release Imminent, Out in January

Uncharted2007

Not a fan of the 1st person take the series went. I still haven't bothered playing RE8 and it feels odd as RE used to be my favorite series.

Currently replaying RE5 (PS4) and having a blast. I will say that as good as the graphics were in 2009, it would seem even RE5 could use a graphical update.

I think the shocking news to me in this article is the 7 years of development time. It now takes an entire console lifespan to create one game. 😐

Re: PlayStation and Other Gaming Titans Flock to Twitter Rival Threads

Uncharted2007

@Pat_trick You must have missed the part where I put, "I don't agree with everything Musk does."

To put it plainly, it was obvious no one else had a care in the world to uphold free speech for conservatives... and no... a majority of conservatives don't care if actual racists get moderated for being racist. It was EVERY platform deleting and censoring conservative thoughts and arguments from their platforms ensuring only one side was heard so that's what people thought everyone agreed with. It was the overreach of governments colluding with tech companies to "Other" a specific group.

Frankly, no one else had the care, ability, or both to stop them. So yeah, I'll high five Musk for ripping Twitter away from the real fascists.

Re: PlayStation and Other Gaming Titans Flock to Twitter Rival Threads

Uncharted2007

Interesting how standing up for free speech is controversial these days. I don't agree with everything Musk does, but ripping a massive platform away from digital tyranny, I'll applaud.

Before some of you get your knickers in a twist, I don't condone bullying. That includes racist remarks as well as shouting down and forcing ideologies on the masses. When something like hate speech isn't given a proper definition and commonly used words (and pronouns) can be flipped on a dime to become hate speech on some random person's whim... that's tyranny... leaving the masses in fear that they may say something wrong. It comes with real world consequences like losing your job because you disagree with someone on the internet. That's Marxism for you though.

Re: Mini Review: Sonic Origins Plus (PS5) - The Wrong Library of Games to Bring Back

Uncharted2007

A couple points here.

1. The Game Gear and Master System versions of Sonic released in the same months as each other, meaning they were developed at the same time.

2. The Game Gear games included play identically to their Game Gear versions on the PS5. That includes their faults like the mono audio not sounding fantastic in stereo and the zoomed in aspect ratio. There were only so many pixels to work with.

Personally, I'm happy they put in the Game Gear versions instead of the Master System. Whenever you saw advertisements for these games in N. America, they almost never mentioned the Master System. Thus, it was either Genesis or Game Gear here.

Re: Microsoft's Potential Game Plan in 2020: 'Spend Sony Out of Business'

Uncharted2007

Anyone that's been paying attention since before the first Xbox even released knew this is what MS was going for in the industry. Simply buy out the talent because they have none of their own.

I honestly hope this email is the final nail in the coffin of the buyout. Not because I care about anything Activision does, but because they and other large conglomerates need a solid gut punch every now and again.
