Re: Ready Your Petitions, As Gravity Rush Remastered Ain't Releasing at Retail in NA

@Gamer83
You're right, they shouldn't. They're probably a bunch of old, stuffy men in a board room who think Americans only like shooting things and breaking into cars (which, I mean, we sort of do if you watch the news). But after NOA passed on Another Code: R, Last Story, Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower, their weird treatment of Fatal Frame and lots of other Japanese games, SCEA just looks and feels so much better by default of no region locking. As a Sony fan you probably feel disappointed, but as a Nintendo fan coming to PS4, it feels more like the console of dreams. lol.

yeah, you're right. It's just a dream, but as someone who owns an Xbox 1 and loves Japanese games, I would love to see it do well in Japan. Not just for me though, because I plan on buying a PS4 slim when that comes out, but there's something great about the way Japan approaches story telling and video game design compared to Western releases, that Xbox players really owe it to themselves to play some good Japanese games. If Xbox did well in Japan, then that means those gamers could see those kinds of releases on the Xbox 1 without having to spend another 400 dollars.

At least SCEA is not as bad as NOA. I'm going to sign the petition and if we get a physical release, this is a day 1 buy. But guess what!!! PS4 is region free!! Take that Nintendo, you spoony bards! If we can't get a physical release then I'm importing from the U.K. because at least Sony doesn't seem to live in the 2000's. 2015 and still region locking. If the NX has region locking (and NOA hasn't changed who's in charge) I'm done with NIntendo.

p.s. all will be forgiven when Zelda U gets released.

Re: Reaction: Poorly Paced Paris Presser Paves Way for PS4's Impressive 2016

I thought it was kind of nice. I'm really interested in Nier, Gravity Rush and Detroit, so it did a good job of getting me excited about buying a PS4. The only thing I don't like about Sony is their tendency to announce games waaaaaay before they're ready for release. So I guess we just have to play the waiting game. Hopefully a Slim model will be out soon because that's the version I want to buy.

@Matroska
lol. that's really funny you should mention girls and Xbox One...
I used to have just a Wii U for current gen, but now I have an XB1 because my sister is a huuuuge Halo fan (I only just beat my first game this year) and as soon as the Master Chief Collection came out she ran out and bought one. I like it a lot so far. The controller took me awhile to get used to but it's much better than the Wii U pro controller. However, there are so many good games coming out for PS4, I have a feeling we'll end up owning one too.

However, I feel justified commenting on push square because I also have a Playstation TV. (^. ^ )/ See! I'm also part of the Playstation family.

@Gamer83
Xbox and Nintendo trolls? Probably not because this isn't IGN. I find Push Square, Nintendolife, and PureXbox to be on the more civil side when it comes to video game discussions on the internet. That's even more surprising considering that they all share the same login information.
(o.O )

As for the big 3, they do a good job of fooling me into thinking they care about gamers. All except Reggie Fils-Aime. He probably hates us.

@DualWielding
omg! that would be horrible. PS4 and Xbone are only now starting to get good.

@TheMightyPunram
you have to be pretty far away to avoid something with a 1 degree turn.

but yeah, I like my Xbone, but I feel like it was totally Microsoft's fault that it started so badly. And as much as I like Phil Spencer better than any of the previous guys, I'm pretty sure he was in with MS until they saw their business strategy just implode under the gaming community's rejection. It's your fault MS. YOUR FAULT!! now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go play on my Xbone... ( ;^. ^)

holy crap!!!
Puzzle Star Sweep!! We used to have that game! It was one of the first PS1 games we owned. If I remember correctly my sister and I found it in a grocery store that had a few really generic games. We didn't know if it was any good but hey, when you're a kid a game is a game, so we begged our parents to buy it.

Don't really remember too much about the gameplay but I'm definitely picking it up again for the nostalgia factor. (^_^ )

Re: Japanese Sales Charts: Metal Gear Solid V Brings PS4 Its Best Numbers in Months

Utena-mobile

It's always been about big games. Japan stopped buying PS4 systems in huge numbers because there was very little to play besides sequels and re-hashes (with the few exceptions). But once the big titles start coming out, you're going to see the numbers increase.

btw, Microsoft does a poor job with the Japanese market because it doesn't understand the Japanese market or western fans of the Japanese market.

*whew
I'm glad that got resolved. This is on my "to buy" list but I only have a ps tv to play with. (o.o )
I wonder which one is the "scary" guy (probably the hottest looking one. It's always the hottest looking one)...

@rjejr
That's smart. I'll be honest, I love costume dlc, but after dropping 40 dollars on a game called Dust 514 (only to have the company stop supporting future updates on the game) I vowed to be more careful on micro-transactions. Dust 514! You broke my heart!

@ShogunRok "I think one of the main reasons people like Japanese games is because, you know, they're Japanese."

OMG!!! This is so beautiful, I just want to cry. You have no idea how frustrating it is to try and explain this to other gamers especially on the Xbone side. Which is sad, because there are a ton of Xbone gamers that also feel the same way and would love to be able to play more Japanese games on the system of their choice.

Re: Gamescom 2015: Lara Croft's Next Adventure Likely Won't Be Late on PS4

Utena-mobile

I wonder if the ps4 version will come out with extra content or with the dlc included. I have an Xbone, but I'm planning on getting a PS4 too, so I don't know if I should buy Tomb Raider this year or wait to see if there's a better version in a year.

I used to be ok with timed exclusives, but I'm now wondering if it's actually doing more harm than good.

@Boerewors
and yeah, that's so much crap about Street Fighter V. Where's the controversy in that? It seems so hypocritical.

Re: Reaction: Did Xbox Make Its Gamescom 2015 Presser Pay?

Utena-mobile

@adf86
I have an Xbone, but I agree with you. MS made some completely stupid decisions that were very anti-gamer/consumer, and while I like my system, I can't help but feel they deserve the bad press, the negative reputation in the gaming community, and the very distant 2nd place compared to the PS4.

I think they know it too. I want them to know it. And I want MS to spend the rest of this console generation doing whatever it takes to make up for their completely stupid launch. btw, I'm still going to buy a PS4, so lol.

@viciousarcanum
I guess everyone has their own definition of what "watching" a game means.
