Between a 6 or 7 but i gave a 7 for its visuals. Overall pretty underwhelming, adds nothing new and has all the faults of the main game. That said its still very pretty, fighting machines never gets old and the new area is an interesting new place to explore.
@KundaliniRising333 Its simple critics weren't with fussed Days Gone anyway while they love Jedi Survivor despite its issues. Most find if they like or love something enough its generally easy to overlook or not care for its issues, funny enough Destructoid said if not for its technical state they would have scored it a 10 instead of the 9 they gave it.
I mean look at Pokemon Violet and Scarlet they're even now still broken buggy games with poor performance yet the highs for it are so high for me i class it as one of the my favourite entries. I don't excuse the big issues but at the same time i like the game so much i've gone past the point of caring about them.
@KundaliniRising333 The exploration is only pointless to you not everyone else. Jesus there's no winning with Gamers, if they make cosmetic DLC its bad because "it used to be unlockable content we earned" but if its unlockable content we earn its "not meaningfull and pointless".
@BeerIsAwesome Well the game deals with a bunch a characters whose fates are unknown, safe to say we would rather not have a big reveal or death spoilt for us by some c**t on social media or Youtube.
Hopefully its current gen only. Really interested in where they will take it story wise considering how MK11 and its Expansion ended and i'm curious where this leaves the new blood like Cassie.
Jedi and MHR Sunbreak for me and i've got both pre-ordered. It will be nice finally being able to play Sunbreak at 60fps/4K, i love it on Switch but after playing Rise on PS5 its very hard going back.
I recently jumped back in after getting all the expansions on sale for £50 and honestly i'm loving it and i'm remembering why i played it so hard during the Forsaken era. Yes it has huge issues but the gunplay is the best out there and the game is just insanely fun.
Had to choose between Jedi Survivor and Dead Island 2 and i picked Jedi for this months big gaming buy. I do plan on getting it though i just don't know when.
@z0d15g0d and Street Fighter 6 will last an entire gen instead of lasting a year and then Capcom asking £50 for a Super version. Fighting games nowadays last for years and DLC is a big reason why.
@z0d15g0d You clearly missed the many different versions of Street Fighter 2 or how if you wanted to play as Scorpion in MK3 you had to buy a Ultimate version. DLC improved fighting games as it killed the need of buying endless new versions.
@dark_knightmare2 Elden Ring beats its side quest/content by far, the most popular ending of ER is a result of a long massive side quest that runs alongside the main quest. Horizon has a few well written quests big deal so does AC Odyssey and Red Dead 2.
I say Ubi blueprint because it has towers to reveal msp, endless enemy camps, endless collectibles, a bloated icon full map, a fake sense of options between stealth and combat and so on.
I will stick playing Horizon because i do like the series i just don't love it.
@Beerheadgamer82 Ubi invented the Ubi style of open worlds the style a lot of other games have copied heavily since Ubi started that style. Wanna know something funny? What BotW and Elden Ring did wasn't unique to them but because 95% of other open worlds all play the same those games felt new and refreshing despite the fact how they play was more common place prior to AC and FC3. FW is not that much different to FC5 in how its open world works and the types of content it gives you, that's not a good sign when FC5 was when people started getting tired of FC. Horizon gets by on its visuals and the machines as i've said, remove that stuff though and it would be thrown on the pile of forgettable open worlds that don't have 1 original idea between them.
@dark_knightmare2 Content wise they are very much the same and its clear GG just copied what Ubi do in how they make an open world. End of the day the Ubi style of worlds are dying and FW feels dated and bland because of that. Horizon 3 will need to switch things up or it will be a relic.
@Falkirk4life I have a 4TB HD and a separate 1TB SSD plus the PS5 base storage and it still easy to fill all up. This game is going to have me deleting either a big game or loads of games 😅
@Ravix I say crazy because a Pro console would already be at a high premium price so adding a 2TB SSD would be adding another £300 to the console. There's no way in hell Sony would sell a £800-£1000 console.
@KundaliniRising333 To be clear despite how negative i'm being and how tired i am of the gameplay loop GG use i do like the games, i like the DLC its just i want more from series and not another Far Cry Horizon. Zelda is out in a few weeks and that is just going to yet again reinforce how i feel about Horizon.
@Titntin Ranged combat is great but melee is awful. Yeah the world of Horizon looks stunning and visually the games look better then anything else but it doesn't change the fact the games are designed like a Ubi game and don't actually do anything new beyond fancy visuals and a great enemy type. For two releases in a row they have released next to another open world game that changes the game and how open worlds are made and they really show how bland the Horizon series is beyond the visuals and the machines. This DLC for me has shown how tired i am of the format GG are using for its open worlds and how bland they are beyond a surface level. Pretty but shallow really describes Horizon.
@jmac1686 Well sorry i expected more from something that kept boasting how it "needed" the PS5 and is impossible on PS4. In the end its just more of the same except it now has these fancy clouds that we only notice because the Devs told us how "special" they are.
I really hope they switch up how they make Horizon's open world for H3 because they really do feel like Ubi worlds but in the most bland and most lazy way possible. After recently replaying FC5 its quite amazing how much Horizon rip off those games. To say the visuals and machines carry this franchise is an understatement.
@Atreus97 Nah nothing and i would argue with enough small changes the Horus could have worked on PS4. I feel the Devs just didn't want to work on the PS4 version anymore and came up with some BS to justify it.
Its really hard to excuse the pop-in when they boasted about how this "needed" to be PS5 only, honestly this feels like BS said so they could cut working on two versions. As for these fancy clouds? You wouldn't even notice a difference if the Devs never pointed it out. Its fine a nice 7/10 but pretty underwhelming overall.
@Ravix If you think a PS5 Pro (that most likely doesn't exist) will have a 2TB SSD you're crazy as that would raise the cost to near 1K levels, SSD's are not cheap and no way are Sony just giving out a 2TB one for free.
@GreatAuk Yeah fun thing my comment didn't actually single out anyone, you saw it and took offence even though my comment was really just calling out everyone who was still going on about this tired subject of "Aloy isn't hot enough" because let's face it that's the issue here, its not about being too feminine or too masculine its the fact Aloy hasn't been designed too look like Lara Croft or whoever. You never seen this debate if a male character doesn't look gruff enough its only ever when a female character hasn't been made to look like the new favourite subject of Pornhub.
@darthvirgin I hope i'm wrong but i have a feeling the DLC takes place in its own map with its own features so stuff like the fancy clouds only exist in that map. Guess i will find out in 7 hours.
You really have to wonder how much interaction the people going on about the looks of the characters have actually had with girls. Yeah big shocker most women don't look like porn stars and Hollywood actresses.
@BAMozzy This is what you don't understand a huge majority of people just buy a console for CoD, Fortnite, Fifa/Madden and not much else beyond except maybe GTA. Sales support me here and CoD dominates Spidey in sales.
@LightningLeader Tunic, Scorn, Valheim, Vampire Survivors, Arc 2, Stalker, Sable, The Gunk, Powerwash, The Medium and more were and are timed deals. Of course though i forget MS are innocent and don't do timed deals.
@LightningLeader You can disagree but since the 360 era MS have gone way harder on timed releases then Sony has. The Series consoles have already seen more timed games this Gen then PS5 has and we even have more coming like Stalker and Arc 2.
@BAMozzy You say this yet CoD beats Spidey in sales and makes way more money. In terms of gaming IP's CoD is far ahead of Spidey and is only challanged or beaten by the likes of GTA, Minecraft and Fortnite.

Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PS5 Bugs Will Be Squashed Across Weeks of Patches
@TrickyDicky99 Yeah its a shame its not like the PS2 days where if games bug ridden and had performance issues they were stuck like that forever.

So salty i love it. No darling you won't pull away due to the money we make you.

Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Has 2023's Most Essential PS5 Patch (So Far)
@ROTTIEMAN16 The disc version is unplayable full stop without downloading the rest of the game that has the patches built into the download.
Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Has 2023's Most Essential PS5 Patch (So Far)
@KundaliniRising333 No harm in waiting a month or two where it should be in a better state and may even see a discount.

@ROTTIEMAN16 Well the disc doesn't even have the full game and it requires a download of the rest so no internet players won't be playing this.
Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (PS5) - Fantastic Sequel Is Bigger and Better in Every Way
@Matroska So you're just insulting Cameron Monaghan then?

I'm a digital gamer so this does not impact me, that said i'm not thrilled with a 147gb download but at least i don't have data caps thank god.

@dark_knightmare2 Best side content since TW3? Dude it didn't even have the best side content in an open world game in the month it released in 😂
