@ATaco I mean MH World was pretty much a live service game and Rise once Sunbreak was dropped toyed with it. I expect MH6 will fully commit to it.

Been playing through Gamepass and yeah its fine and good fun but i can't see me playing this for the long run as the gameplay is just too samey and simple. If you have GP then i say its worth trying out but in no way would i say buy it. Finally Capcom have gone way too hard on MTX and such for a near full price game.

Sex sells and always has done. Look at all the buzz over Oppenheimer right now as it will feature full frontal nudity.

@SnowMadClaude I'm on action and don't have any of those accessories equipped because why i would i want to turn an already very easy game into an even more easy game. I wish the highest difficulty was unlocked from the start as it might give it some bite then. As it is i feel like i'm on auto pilot with the combat. Sure it may feel tough for those who have never played a character action game but for anyone whose experienced with them its really easy to the point its boring. I'm guessing this is your "my first action game" hence why its "tough" for you 🙄

Funny enough i'm deep into T4 on Diablo 4 and i'm playing as a Sorc now that's difficult and has bite.

@ztpayne7 FF12 is a proper JRPG with an insane amount of depth and a great world to explore with a great cast barring its lead. FF16 is a poor mans painfully linear character action game with a dull cast except Cid and a game design that can't decide if its a boring MMO or a poor QTE heavy God of War/DMC rip off. Those no depth to the combat at all, swapping powers sounds good but its an illusion as it all amounts to the same thing and gives you zero reason to really use them unlike say DMC5 a game that forces you to experiment and try new tricks. Hopefully Yoshi-P sticks to his forced subbed MMO next time as he's clearly not cut out for the single player games.

Skill Up nicely sums up the game in his review and like me he also thinks time won't be kind to this game. Hell the subreddit has turned from loving it to more mid now, more mid to bad reviews are starting to appear and more negative articles are starting to form. FF16 will not be winning GOTY i can tell you that and i'm really expect8ng yo feature in many disappointing games of 2023 lists. You and your friends can like it but its clear the response has gone from positive to a more mixed response as more people have played it.

I know how its going to go because the same happened to FF13 and FF15. They were loved on release and the responses i'm getting on here are the same those were getting when they dared say anything negative about those games at the time.

@CreepingShadow I don't care how Stepth is these days i'm talking about when they gave FF13 a bad review for Destructoid, got hated and insulted for months over it only for everyone to end up agreeing its a pretty bad game. FF16 is a PS5 exclusive made by the overhyped Yoshi-P so naturally its having a lot of bias right now, i wouldn't shocked come the end of the year the game isn't looked at too great though.

@KaijuKaiser Platinum DMC5 on both PS4 and PS5 the game that inspired FF16's combat, FF16 is not even 5% of DMC5's level.

@Ravix FF13 and FF15 were loved at launch as well, Jim Sterling who famously gave FF13 a damming review got attacked for months over it by fanboys and now everyone agrees with them. FF16 legacy won't be good, Japan has rejected it and even now the "backlash" is starting to form around it. 3M sales is pretty lackluster as well.

@ztpayne7 FF7, FF7R, FF12 and parts of FF15. In truth i'm not a big FF fan but i know its strengths and FF16 has none of them except the music what as ever is excellent. FF16 wants to be a character action game ok fine but it fails at even doing that, the combat is so dull and shallow with none of the depth of the games its so desperately wants to be. Its legacy won't be good, FF13 and FF15 were also loved at launch as well now look at them.

@KaijuKaiser FF7R is deeper then anything FF16 offers.

@Ravix Dude FF16's combat is so shallow and on rails anyone could play it. Recently replayed FF7R and god damn the combat in that makes a mockery of FF16's boring and dull combat.

Honestly i think FF16 legacy won't be good as its a poor FF game, its a very poor action game and its a poor MMO lite game.

@CutchuSlow I said they could not that they will. Yeah we should be worried as in the space of a few years MS has swallowed up two of the biggest gaming publishers out there, corporations swallowing up so many smaller ones in so little time is never a good sign.

Funny though because one look at the film industry right now should tell you why MS shouldn't be allowed to have Activision. The film industry is failing right now and its largely down to giving corps like Disney free reign on spending and allowing streaming to run rampart.

@CutchuSlow I mean 3rd party deals fund the exclusives, those deals fade when MS owns most of gaming and those 3rd party games only stay that if MS wants them too. Yes MS could crush Sony if they were allowed, those emails weren't what ifs all that was leading men from Xbox discussing a way of eliminating Sony from gaming. This is what MS does and they have a history of doing tactics like this. The Judge what allowed this should not have been the Judge due to a massive conflict of interest and i wouldn't be shocked if her son gets promoted sooner or later.

@CutchuSlow Oh poor MS how will they stay alive with their trillions. Fun fact Sony started getting more agressive with deals and such the moment MS started their big spending spree. Also MS do way more timed deals or 3rd party exclusives then Sony do, every month i see games appear on the Xbox store and GP that don't appear on PSN. Sony do timed and 3rd party exclusives because they don't have the money to just buy Bethesda or Activision so they fall on that, its a tactic all console makers have done for decades however MS decided to change the game by just buying up massive 3rd party publishers. You think MS will stop now? No they will buy another and another until they are forced to stop. MS cry that Sony may have bought exclusively of Starfield while ignoring the fact they can outbid Sony on any deal they make. MS are not victims they're just the bully who acts like the victim.

Expect more 3rd party exclusives and i wouldn't be shocked if Sony go after SE or CDPR now.

I just hope this all backfires on MS. Anyone with a lick of sense knows MS are aiming to get rid of Sony and its quite worrying knowing MS have the money to do that. This judge has a history of backing MS as she's done it before and her son works at MS, MS paying people off is not unheard off so 🤷‍♂️

Downloading it through Gamepass, don't really want to commit money to another always online game right now so it being on GP is perfect for me.

PS5 wise either Diablo 4 or RE4R are my favourites so far, of course overall this year Zelda is top.

@VaultGuy415 Even the bosses are pretty meh as they're basically either overlong MMO style fights or QTE. The dire combat also doesn't help. Bringing in the MMO guy who doesn't like JRPG's to make this was such a poor move and i feel over time this game will not be looked on fondly.

@Pat_trick The single player offerings from them have been pretty great these pasr few years i feel.

TotK really is killing it. I'm over a 100 hours in now and i've barely touched the story due to how much content the game has and how much fun just messing around with the games systems is.

Yeah i planning on starting my 2nd character when the season begins, tempted by the Druid class at the moment.

@Northern_munkey Some advice i would jump on to world tier 2 as soon as because the endgame is designed around Nightmare and over and going from WT1 to WT3 will feel brutal as hell.

@HonestHick Yeah i might hold off on Tekken 8 myself as MK1 is a day one buy as i'm a big MK fan, between SF6 and MK1 i shell eating good until T8 goes on sale with its season pass.

I'm still holding out hope we can play as Venom in the game. Considering how popular he is and the fact he's got two films plus a 3rd coming i really do think at the very least he will get a spin off game.

Smoke and Rain? Xmas has come early. So hyped for this and damn the visuals look great. Loving the brothers dynamic between Scorpion and Sub-Zero as well.

@Nepp67 Pretty sure RT isn't even in the game, i don't recall Digital Foundry mentioning it. Considering how much they cut back in performance mode i doubt they would have left RT in it anyway.

@HonestHick I mean a good classic control player should always beat a good modern controls player, not only that but modern controls deal less damage. I think the bigger issue are characters like Zangief do deal stupid amounts of damage with very little work required.

@cassiel PS4 games play better on the PS5 so it makes sense to play them on PS5 if you own a PS5 plus many PS4 games have updates what give them 60fps on PS5 and higher resolutions.

@Areus Its on X1 and Series S/X and even has 60fps on S/X.

@AverageGamer I mean that's your opinion, i love Black Flag probably put it in my top 4 AC games but i rate Odyssey, Unity and Brotherhood above it. As for why its never received the GTA V and Skyrim treatment well its because those games print never ending money and are gaming cultural behemoths.
