Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Gets a Brilliant New Story Trailer

@rjejr Yeah, I know what you mean. With the original Red Dead Redemption on the PS3/360 I never really felt any pull towards it, but my son raved about it and I gave it go.
Glad I did as I absolutely loved it! Great story, gameplay, characters, graphics and music....took me right back to playing as a cowboy when I was a little boy....yeehaaa! 🤠

@get2sammyb Oh Sammy....duh, obviously Bluepoint are working on a complete remaster of the 8 Silent Hill games (except Book Of Memories, cause...well, you know) completely rebuilt from the ground up!! Yep, Konami lurve their IPs sooo much...they are chucking million$ of gazillion$ of squillion$ at Bluepoint, and every single game will also have full PSVR support, playable in 1st person!!! 🤪🤪🤪

....and 3, 2, 1, I’m back in the room 🤣

@gbanas92 Alan Wake was awesome, really like Remedy’s games. Never got round to playing Spec Ops: The Line and have only ever heard good things about it...so I think I’ll get myself a preowned copy of it at some point. Thanks for the chats 👍

Re: Guide: Best PS4 Music of March 2018

@gbanas92 ooo, now you’re asking...um, no, I’m pretty sure they didn’t. I’ve still got my PS3 so that I can play Downpour (and Homecoming) when I fancy. I can’t list any of the licensed tracks off the top of my head though, and for the sake of this conversation, I think they are best heard when playing Downpour for their relevance to it’s unfolding story. For what it’s worth, I just remember being impressed with quite a few of the tracks chosen.

Re: Guide: Best PS4 Music of March 2018

@gbanas92 Downpour no longer had Akira Yamaoka’s genius, and Daniel Licht did the score, which was still great imo. But there was also a licensed soundtrack, and I think the choices were amazing - they really suited the mood of the game, well worth a listen 👂

Re: Poll: What Do You Think About Remasters?

jacobia

Apologies if someone’s already mentioned this, but I think one of the good aspects of remasters/remakes is that for someone who’s never owned a Sony console, or a youngling who’s first console is the PS4, they get to experience some excellent games firsthand, particularly (imo) when it comes to Sony’s first party studios.

Re: Lara Croft Steps Out of the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Tomorrow

@sinalefa lol, ditto....
I bought Rise not long after it was released for the PS4, started it to see what it was like, liked what I played but not returned to it since (still got the disc).....like soooo many other games I own. Oh the woes of 1st world problems: finding/making the time/desire to experience an illusion 😔🤔🤨🙃🤪😉

Re: Review: The Station (PS4)

jacobia

@RogerRoger Wow, thanks for including me in that, much appreciated. What you’ve written was well articulated and I enjoyed reading it. I haven’t bought The Station and had completely forgotten about it. I may get round to buying it one day, but with such a monumental backlog of games, it’ll probably have been heavily discounted by the time I get to considering it 😊

Re: Review: The Station (PS4)

jacobia

@RogerRoger yeah, absolutely. To be able to articulate your experience into a review requires skill. I like to read reviews on the same game or movie from different sources, just to get a broader picture.

Re: Review: The Station (PS4)

jacobia

@RogerRoger 👍🙏👍🙏👍....Sisko rocks too!

Yeah, I love reading reviews of games and movies but when all’s said and done, it’s not your experience you’re reading, it’s someone else’s, and you know the sort of games you’re going to gravitate towards.

Re: Far Cry 5 Season Pass Detailed, Is Typically Mental

jacobia

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi yeah, I thought Far Cry 4 was overall boring too. Still technically a good game, but I don’t remember much about it, was a bit of a chore to play (for me).
This dlc for 5 sounds awesome though. Good choices made by Ubisoft, in my opinion.
