Re: Fans Want to Know if They Can Upgrade from PS4 to Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PS5

kiki3400

@Juanalf I have to stick up for @Iroha here.

Sony are NOT doing the same as 505. 505 is basically releasing a game of the Year edition. It's the vanilla game and all the dlc, for a lot less money than the PS4 version on the PS5 and saying, it's not possible to let people who bought the ps4 version and the season pass with all the dlc to upgrade. They will have to rebuy everything to get an upgraded version that runs (Because it ran like trash on PS4 ). It's the same game, no upscaling, no new assets, no new content or anything. I agree that's *****.

Insomniac have bundled a remaster in with Miles Morales on PS5 as a value add to the bundle. It has new assets, new content and even a different trophy list. It's a completley different product. Why would they give you it for free??? Now I'm not saying they shouldn't offer people a way to pay 10 to 15 dollars to upgrade to the remaster but I do agree with the point Iroha made.

There has been so much pontification and bluster about the PS5 releasing everything on PS4 and 'how can it be next gen if it's also avail on PS4' and then the minute they make something PS5 only, people complain about that.

Re: Soapbox: Screw Sony's PS5 Game Pricing, I'll Just Wait for Sales

kiki3400

I already only buy a couple of games a year full price. This year it was FF7R and Ghost Of Tsushima and they were worth every penny.

Normally I wait until sales and if I really want to play something but can't afford it, I usually watch a Let's Play on YT. It feeds my hunger....lol

That said, I still have a massive backlog and I do really want to play AC Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion but I am finished giving Ubisoft a penny til they get thier act together. I'll probably buy them 2nd hand..ooooorr maybe buy a 2nd hand xbox x 1 and £1 month of gamepass??? But I really don't like subscription model for games so probably not.

Re: Final Fantasy XVI Announced, PS5 Console Exclusive, Gameplay Trailer

kiki3400

@Fenbops Weeellllllll. I remeber buying 9 and I did play it, but at the time, when I was a lofty twenty something coming off the back of 7 and 8, 9 felt to me a bit flat. This is why I am not a fan of the medievel setting as I tend not to enjoy those ones as much. I really didn't enjoy the character design. It was my first FF with tails and ears and it all felt a little 'childish' dare I say?

I still have my OG PS1 game and I bought it again to replay on PS4 I just haven't got round to it. I'm hoping I'll enjoy it more than when I was a moody teenager. LOL

Re: Final Fantasy XVI Announced, PS5 Console Exclusive, Gameplay Trailer

kiki3400

@rachetmarvel LOL I do own them all, but if I am being hnest it's not drawing me in like a normal FF does. Usually, it's all I play until I have wrung every drop out of it but 13, I'm meh.. so I understand where the negativity about it comes from. I like almost all of the charachters except Ligtning which hurts cause I want to like her soooo much but she is so freaking dreary! lol I'm not far into it though. Just chapt 4. Got distracted by Ghost of Tsushima.

Re: Final Fantasy XVI Announced, PS5 Console Exclusive, Gameplay Trailer

kiki3400

@Cloud39472 Yeah but there were no crystals in 6, 7 or 8. or 9? I can't remember about 9. Nothing in 10. Didn't play 11 so can't say. It came back in 13 with a vengence and it's been in every iteration since. Type 0 etc. They really went hard in the last 10 years. And the best games in the franchise imho are the ones that don't have 'crystals'.

Don't come at me dude. I love FF franchise but I can still feel disappointed with this. Just because I'm not gushing like fountain, doesn't mean I'm not a fan.

Re: Final Fantasy XVI Announced, PS5 Console Exclusive, Gameplay Trailer

kiki3400

@kyleforrester87 'GENERIC'! That's the word I was looking for. Charachters just looked bleeegh. Uninspired. I mean, I thought the main charachter was from FF14 to start. I thought it was FF14 expansion to begin with.

I know its early but It looks like a generic action rpg. I'll get more excited nearer release but man, I'm not super hyped for this. Just mildly interested.

Re: Fans Expect Final Fantasy 16 to Be Announced for PS5 Next Week

kiki3400

@segabluesky yeah, I agree with the faults that everyone points out but I just loved the gameplay loop so much. I loved camping and fishing and cooking and hunting. Loved it all despite the flaws. That said, I wasn't around for all of the hype. Played the Royal edition in 2019 so I think that played a part in how I enjoyed it. During the wait for 15 I was being a mum and mainly playing CK2 on PC. Lol

Re: Fans Expect Final Fantasy 16 to Be Announced for PS5 Next Week

kiki3400

I won't believe this til I see it and if it's a couple of years out I don't even want to know.

Also, am I the only person here that liked Ff15? Aside from the issues with narrative I really loved it. Fell in love with the 4 main characters, world was beautiful. Just really enjoyed it.

Also never really loved the more medevil-ly type FF. Much prefers the science ones so I hope it's that type.

If it's coming, that is.

Re: Reaction: Why Hasn't PS5's Price and Release Date Been Revealed Yet?

kiki3400

I think this price only really matters for us 'hardcore' gamers and for new players eg. parents buying for kids. I think most people who play 'casually' don't buy at launch anyways, so it's a moot point. People will most likely stay with the platform they have until given a reason not to and to be honest, there is nothing in Xbox offering other than price to entice me.

I don't need 2 consoles and until Xbox release a game I want to play (which 1st party will probably be at least 2 years away.) why would I buy one? I can't play any of my exsisting games n it, there nothing of real interest on GP for me. I kind of hate the subscription model for games as it gives the apperance of value without actually giving any. Plus I feel subscriptions over time, tend to de-value the thing you are consuming (eg music, movies) til it's not worth watching/playing/listening to. Then there's the concern it will be harder and harder to buy games at all, nevermind physically but digitally as well. It's not so bad with TV and Movies, but if you are not in the iTunes ecosystem, I find it really frustrating to actually buy music now. I don't want that for games.

The thing I object to is this move to subscriptions the MS have made, and I kind of hope Sony doesn't move to that.

I mean I'm up to around £40 a month on subsciptions already without gaming going that way too. Add another £10 to £15 quid and it's just too much.

And also to who ever estimated a full price game a month for people, WHAT?? I couldn't afford that, never mind it have the time for it...LOL I bought 2 full price games this year Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Ghost of Tsushima. Everything else if you wait a while you can get it on sale. Case in point, Death Stranding is down to about £18 now @CEX and it's not even a year old.

Hopefully this will put a foot in PS bum to get them to rethink some of what they offer but I'd hate them to go to a subscription based , cloud based gaming malarkey.

Re: Reaction: PS5 Price Under Scrutiny After Disruptive Xbox Series S Reveal

kiki3400

I'm happy with the news cause this now forces Sony to get it's arse in gear. Do something about PS+/PS Now and perhaps actually finally give us the juicy about the PS5.

As for people saying this is pro-consumer and great value. No it's isn't. Gamepass is trash. Of 100 or so games I'd maybe try 3 or 4. I own a lot of them already and there are masses of ancient titles on there. It is also worth pointing out that although there are some 'AA' games on there, it has also been flooded witht he same cut-price, low grade cookie cutter indy games. the same 2d platformer in a different skin, oh look, a isometric shooter etc.
It certainly isn't worth, in my eyes, £300 for 2 years access. They try to dazzle you with the 'all for free' rhetoric but it's not. If you buy the basic series s on monthly it's ends up costing £600, soo 300 for the machine and 300 for 'access' to games. You don't even own them.
And then you are locked in and you have to keep the sub going cause it's 'free games' right, then over the next console generation (7 years perhaps) you'll have spent over £1000 WITH NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT??? except maybe playing some mildly entertaining games and an awful lot of sub-par games.

I'd rather play 2 or 3 bangers every year, than play 'new' constantly.

At least when I buy my games for PS5, I know they can't just suddenly dissappear. Sony may be after my money but they are honest about it. Microsoft is a massive corporation who want to fleece you for a much money as they can and dressing up this with 'pro-consumer' fills me with rage that I only usually reserve for the orange one.

Re: Sony's Sending Out Yet Another Wave of PS5 Emails

kiki3400

If I'm being honest, I'm losing interest now. Was hyped back on June/July and if pre orders had went live then, I'd have been on it like a heartbeat. Now I'm, mehhh. Obvs the price is going to be a sticking point or they would have announced it by now. I'm waiting on the backlash from all those who think it's going to be sub £500. I'll probably wait until they bring out a slim/compact version of this monster.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Moves 3.5 Million Copies in Three Days, Is One of PS4's Fastest Selling Exclusives

kiki3400

@FullbringIchigo Than you for saying this sir! They bottlenecked you with traversal in the OG game. It wasn't until the game was practically finished that you could truly go anywhere. I think it's really difficult (not impossible) to tell a really great story without some sort of structure.Open world games do not lend themselves to this. I don't understand why 'linear' has become a bad thing in games. I like having a beginning, a middle and an end?? Yeah, you can run about all over the place but that's when things become disjointed. I really loved the game and after watching some vids and jumping into the lore and playing the game a second time, MY MIND IS BLOWN. I cannot wait for the next part of this game, it's gonna be epic. (srsly watch the Easy Allies spoilercast for FF7R it's amazing.)

Re: Ex-Guerrilla Producer Rips Butthurt PlayStation Fans Over Horizon PC Port

kiki3400

So I genuinel don't understand the consternation. Yes, It was an exclusive, now it's not.

Perhaps I am different from everyone else here but I didn't buy my PS4 because of exclusive games but because I prefer playing games on a console. I'm not snobbish about framerates and the such, it doesn't have to have the most perfect 4K visuals, I don't play FPS so lag doesn't matter to me. I just prefer to play with a controller rather than mouse and keyboard, which I find awkward and ungainly. I usually wait for games to port to console because they are poerted for the controller. I hate to use pc controllers and have to map all the buttons. I'm just too lazy.

Is it a bonus that Persona 5 is on PS4? Yes. Would I not have bought a console because it is also avail on pc or switch? No, I'd have still bought a console.

For disclosure I do play certain games on PC and I own a switch. Did that stop me buying a PS4. No.

It's also coming to the end of a console generation, so I don't think it matters as much but I can't figure getting so worked up about something that I felt a company betrayed me.

Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' Top 10 PS4 Games of 2019

kiki3400

@Arugula As for not offering anything new, being uninspired or unoriginal? That's largely a critics argument. They play a lot more games than the average person so something truly new and original gets taken notice of. There's always going to be a disconnect.

This. I haven't played Days Gone, but really felt it got an unfair drubbing by critics. Watching everyone pile on for no apparent reason other than it wasn't original or inspiring enough, I felt was really bad form and made me feel slightly uncomfortable, almost like I was watching a studio get bullied?? Lol Not every game has to be AMAZINg and forge new paths in gameplay and invent a new genre. What's wrong with a game being fun, enjoyable and solid. I'm glad it's getting mentioned in GOTY disscussions around the net. I'm also happy to see the criminally overlooked Control getting some love. Sometimes, games are just games.

Re: PlayStation Now Subscribers Are Losing PS Store Purchases Due to a Licenses Bug

kiki3400

It's a nightmare. I have had a few instances where I have downloaded a game from PS Now and loved it so much that I wanted to buy it also, mainly because i don't intend to be a ps now subscriber for the rest of my natural born life. And I want to support the developers etc

But because the license issue it won't let you buy it. Who ever heard of a company refusing to sell you things?? It's so freaking frustrating. Also I want to buy it at the sale price and all they say is 'you can purchase it when you no longer have an account'. IT WON'T BE ON SALE THEN WILL IT?? Urgh or even avail to buy.

Re: PS Plus December 2019 PS4 Games Announced

kiki3400

Not a brilliant month but not every month is going to be. However I would suggest a decent year this year. I played Detriot Become Human, thoroughly enjoyed it. Still playing Hitman and MLBThe Show. Going to start Nioh soon and still have The Last Of Us to play. Oh and Edith Finch and The Witness.
7 games that I played/or will play for the price of 1 game. I'm happy.
