Re: Sony and Apollo Reportedly Make $26 Billion All-Cash Paramount Bid

@Fyz306903 They might actually shut that loss making division down. Sony has a nice business making shows for other streaming network, netflix and apple and HBO who front the money and thr risk and Sony just takes profit's from charging for producing the content.
That would be a cheaper strategy than trying to turnaround paramount+ which has loss billions.

@Bamila That was essentially just a bit of programming that took text, run it through ChatGPT and then show it response to the player.

Those characters could say anything through, even things unrelated to the game or to the character themselves. a accountant could talk about massages or how it was like being a premier league footballer.

Building a system that allows you talk to a character but it response is inline with that character views and inline with the world that character live, you don't want medieval peasants talking about PS5s or aliens in the distant future discussing how terrible of a soap opera Eastenders is.

What we actually want is to be able to tell a drug dealer that drugs are great, an elicit a response of the drug dealer agreeing with you.

Tell a doctor that drugs are great and you will get a response of the doctor disagreeing with you, may be even a story of how drug have has harmed of their patients. Tell the police that you have drugs on you, you want them to arrest you or least die trying.

Where the matrix demo will likely get ChatGPT to produce the same answer for all characters, drugs are bad, here a number to help you give up drugs.

Probably should have done this as their first game, not spent a 100 million plus of investor money on developing the flop the Callisto Protocol. Does anyone actually wants a sequel to that game?

Anyway this look like their last throw of the dice to keep the studio alive. Hope it goes well for them and they can make some money for the studio an its poor investors.

@Player_1_Ready PS6 wasn't wasn't supposed to come out until presumably November 2028.

I honestly don't expect Xbox to be much more powerful then the pro. I think they realise they screwed up on having to separate system with different capabilities and want to correct that by releasing what is essentially pro version of Xbox and get rid of S and X.

@Shepherd_Tallon not exactly. I know two people have mental health issues who because they didn't have the stress of working in the office and travelling to and from clients their mental health improved. One has even come off the anti depressants. She the only one at her place of work that is allowed to work from home because even her boss didn't want to see her return to how she was before COVID.

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Dev Team Disbands, Making Sequels or Spin-Offs Unlikely

This is how FF should be. All this prequels and sequels and side stories just dilute the brand. Create a new world,. Create some great characters, port the fan favourites like cid over , tell us their story, move on to the next world. Simple. Square Enix has complicated and diluted ff brand way to much over the years.

Onwards to ff17 .
