@GeneJacket it impossible to put any kind of price on any of that. They would have only been working with script writer's an director an concept artist's until they were happy with the script. Then they bring everyone else in. As far as I know none of the previous efforts got past script writing stage. So the cost is likely to be tiny, certainly not a hundred million.
At end of the day Sony is happy with box office numbers an a second sequel is coming. An Sony runs a very economic film production ship. maybe to economical when it came to resident evil.
An Sony certainly got a nice staple of franchises going now with Venom, jamanji, spiderman an Ghostbusters an uncharted. Ghost of Tsushima
Tesco is selling the game 60 quid, it only 5 quid more than the PS4 version. An I choose it because their was no PS4 in stock, an I suspect many people found the same. Sony said it would be a free upgrade they didn't say they would make it easy to get hold off for the first few weeks.
@Porco @stefan771 250 million world wide, on a middle of the road budgeted film, 120 million isn't a lot of cash for a film nowadays, Next Mission impossible films is look like they will come in at 200 million a piece. An it has a china opening date as well in March. So it will likely be profitable, is it a billion dollars film probably not but it will probably clear 400 million. Can they turn it into a billion dollars film franchise, well I suspect they will give it a good try.
@Kanji-Tatsumi Sony has been on a roll lately, so was shock how back Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City was. It seem to me that half half the got cut or they simply didn't have the budget to make half of it. Sony like to keep their budget tight, an some do a lot with that budget but not the directors and producers behind that film.
@pierco Given repeated rumours of Sony doing something with Home, I agree Sony will enter in the Metaverse wars, an if they get people like Media Molecule to create the creative tools it could be successful.
@IonMagi They got 30 billion dollars in cash on hand plus they are a bank in Japan, so there ability to raise money is huge. They could easily afford to buy many third party studios like Sega, Capcom, Square Inc are all in there price range.
@uptownsoul An Xbox isn't just doing time exclusive they have right out come and said Bethesda new games won't come out on the ps5, that worst than time exclusivity.
@KilloWertz Sony directly funded the FF7 remake, the exclusivity agreement is likely longer than anyone knows and likely included a clause that SE couldn't work on producing the game for other platforms.
Not sure what this has to do with online or off line play. The PS5 is all about speed, from start up times to the SSD to getting you as quickly as possible into the game.
@Col_McCafferty lol given that the PlayStation 5 launch single handily brought every retail site and most delivery services site crashing to a halt. Something xbox launch didn't seem to do on the same scale. I think we can safely say it doesnt matter articles they write right. PlayStation is crushing Microsoft xbox
Well that will never be certified by Sony as it fails to match the speed the speed of the internal drive. An consoles are all about standardisation. Back to the drawing board Western Digital.
@SirAngry Nothing new or disrupted, Microsoft tried this before, it went nowhere, it will go nowhere this time around. People for mobile phones because they been condition for decades that you have to pay monthly for your phone. No one has condition people to do the same for consoles.
@carlos82 That what I'm thinking, the Discless could be heavily subsidies by Sony. They get a guaranteed £50 a year and 100% of first party game sales. I thinking it could be as low as £399 or even £350. It the discless version where I think Sony will throw it money behind. An console which matches Microsoft discless console in price but blows it out of the water in specs could be a winner. Microsoft might have been unwise making their discless version with so much less power.
An I think it the discless version where we will see Microsoft and Sony really compete on price.
@Deadlyblack I will wait for a 1:1 recreation of the original system by modders on the PC, I will probably get the game free from other sources, as Square Enix refuse to do it themselves, I'm not gonna pay them when others have had to fix their game for them.
@Matroska You really didn't, given that you had to use certain skills to defeat certain enemies. The new game will be a x smasher like every other game like it but the old one certainly wasn't.
Just more rubbish from Square Enix. The only good thing about this is that it could be the foundations that modders can use to create a proper classic mode for the PC that return this game to the way it should be, turn based combat.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 (PS5) - The Real Driving Simulator Makes Its Grand Return
Racing games is the gaming genre where I genuine struggle sometimes to tell whether it is game footage or real footage.

Re: Movie Review: Uncharted - Glossy Green Screen Spectacle Isn’t Entirely Sure Who It's For
@CynicalGamer Surely there got to be a God Of war game in the works. I don't care about Sony denials on that matter.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Is Getting Review Bombed on PS5, PS4 for No Reason
@naruball For films I do trust the overall number more than I do critics. Not for games because gamers are crazy nutters.

@PaperAlien The size of a japanese flat is tiny, compare to many countries, so they don't have the space. That one of the reasons anyway.
