It's all so weird. So to prove you're a real studio, you get an outsourcing studio to do a video. I mean obviously the outsourcing studio is real. Why would you not film some of your actual in house employees? It feels like some elaborate scam.

We used to write it down in the manual back in the day, as the bosses had fixed orders of PRS. I used to love it, but haven't played it in nearly 30 years.

Sony wanted something to show, but they didn't have anything so made a trailer that is nothing like the game? Since when does Sony show anything before it's ready? And how did they have nothing to show if its supposed to be out this year?

Releasing on Tuesday 6th pretty much guarantees a ps+ game. Decent game, worth playing, goes off the rails a bit in the last few chapters. The 30fps in the Ps4 version is not very smooth at all, so an upgrade will do it wonders.

I thought the trailer was okay, it's got unusual painted style graphics that a low quality steam didn't do any favours. BUT, then they said online co-op live service game. So no interest at all.

Yeah, was quite excited when it was announced a few weeks ago, but this looked ropey as *****. Maybe a decent 4k upload will work wonders...

First one was okay. Was like playing a third rate Naughty Dog game. Hopefully they can improve on it a bit with a sequel.

Perfect game for PS+ for me. One I'd love to play, for a nostalgic kick (I'm one of the 3 people that bought a Sega Saturn, and it came with VF2), but probably not something I'd pay for.

It's a fun little de-stresser after more involved games, glad it was a PS+ title.

I did try it on PS4 when it was on Now last year, and found it almost unplayable because of the ridiculous loading times. Like I said, it's the sort of thing I want a quick race or two after something else, and was just pointless last gen. It's so much better now.

I also like the little pops and bangs of the backfire from the controller. The speaker is really good in the dualsense.

@PhantomMenace84 Yeah, I've played it for around 15 hours now, including a few runs after the patch last night, and not had a single crash or bug.

The online 'another suit' thing was there after the patch install too, so cool to finally check that out. A good way to get lots of ether, as avenging the dead player gets you 4, albeit after facing a tough enemy.

@mrobinson91 yeah I think the save scumming worries are why it got left out. There are online leader boards I believe? So I don't know if the integrity of those could be affected by scumming.

But I think they just need to let that go, and add a save and quit.

Straight forward doesn't mean easy. I mean has anyone played the game yet. It doesn't have difficulty options, so just completing the game might be quite hard.

Used to love Pirates! back in the day. So will keep an eye on this. Pirates! had those small bits of land action (fighting and dancing, if I remember rightly), which did a great job of mixing things up to keep it interesting.

@Snake_V5 If I remember rightly, you had to option click on each individual game, and then select unfollow. It was a ballache basically. But now there is a big long list in the settings menu that you can check off all the games you want to unfollow.

@JapaneseSonic Go into the settings on your PS5 and make sure HDMI device link is disabled.

You can easily unfollow loads of games in the settings menu now, instead of having to go to each game's page individually.

All you have to do to know they don't play it safe is look at TLOU2. Love it or hate it, you can't deny they took massive risks with that.

Hoping for the rumoured Epic IPO. Pioneering the replacement of green screen, so it's a good investment.

I don't understand this obsession with sequels. I loved Days Gone, but would rather Bend take what they learnt and create something new. The story was far from the best thing about it, so Bend is best served trying again with a fresh plot, rather than trying to force a sequel. The secret ending is hardly mind-blowing, and I struggle to see how you could really flesh it out to make a 40 hour plot line.

I loved Days Gone, but it really doesn't need a sequel. Glad Bend get to work on something new though. Will be a day one buy for me as they clearly need the support.

I'm starting to see why they were all fired... (joke).

Played through the base game when it was on PSNow, and loved it. Was going to buy this version at some point, so super ecstatic that it's on PS+.

Remedy and 505 aren't giving it away free now either. They've just been paid a lump sum by Sony.

Just checked my PSN email because of this story, and sure enough, there it is. (UK based).

Does this have a self contained plot line, or does it end right in the middle of things? I never played the original, so don't want to be waiting years for part two. Will just play them both when that comes out.

A friend of mine worked on Erica. After it was all finished up, he was chatting with the contact from Sony about future plans. My mate inquired about the Wipeout IP, but apparently that licence had very recently been purchased...

I mean if you're going to tweet out you're offering no questions asked refunds, it needs to be removed from sale to protect both Sony and CDPR's financial interests. Else you'd likely get loads of people buying it, completing it quickly, and then refunding it.

It makes me laugh that GoT is up for all those nominations, but not 'Best Score'. It's got to be one of the best I've ever heard.

@rjejr I just got the xh90 and you can turn all the motion smoothing/interpolation nonsense off. Presumably you can on all higher end tvs too.

That's quite the jump! It was your review that had stopped me picking it up previously, and then they announced the Redux, so was glad you hated it . Might be the next game I pick up after Miles Morales is done. Rutger Hauer deserved this!
