I always thought furries were real folk dressed in animal costumes, not anthropomorphic cartoons. This reminds me of Arthur or similar. Not my style of game at all, but hope it turns out good for people looking forward to it.
I can't believe there has been so much whining from people who didn't get it. It was never going to be for everyone, so random assignment seems the best option. Just be happy for people who got lucky and bring some positivity to your life.
@OmegaStriver yeah, I've also started not using any charms to help make it harder too. Hopefully this difficulty helps. It does seem a problem with open world games where it's way too easy to become overpowered.
Tom Holland is a good actor, but it's such a poor choice for this role. He looks about 12. As for Fleischer, Zombieland was great, but that was 11 years ago. Everything else he's directed since then has been abysmal.
@ShogunRok What's the general difficulty like? Seen a few comments that it's too easy, but doesn't state what mode they played on (Which always makes me laugh, as it makes the complaint pointless).
@JJ2 Which is completely ignoring what Marlene says to Joel in the lift. Ellie wanted to give them the chance to find a cure, and Joel knew it. I'm not saying I'd have made a different decision, but it was a selfish one.
Ending was brilliant. Abby was the one who walked away in seattle. Ellie needed a chance to do the same. She finally learns to forgive Abby, and through that, Joel for taking away her choice, and ultimately herself, for being alive.
Curious to see the reception there. Shares similar nihilistic themes to a lot of Asian films. The Beat Takeshi gangster films, and Oldboy come to mind. I'm on the farm now, so must be really close to the end. It's brilliant and brave storytelling. Haven't seen even a film, let alone a game, that cuts this deep for a long time.
I don't think they'd bother with two SKUs for just $50 difference. Are there also any licensing fees to pay on machines with disc drives in?
If its $100 difference I'll go digital. Which I think is probably a lot of people's line of thought.
There's got to be a strong market for standalone shorter, cheaper games, that still retain triple AAA quality. I mean look at the completion % of RDR2, only 32% of people complete the story. Not everyone has the time to play 100 hour epics.
@Col_McCafferty It stands out so much, because the rest of the graphics are incredible. I assume she's a robot/android as she ends up on the moon at the end. So maybe they wanted it to look fake. But it's RE engine, and Mia's long hair in RE7 is really bad too, so might just be a crappy system for long hair.
Not my thing really, but it's cool to see Sony and Epic (he mentions both in that interview) funding indie developers to follow their vision. Even if it's as mad as a bag of spiders.
Like I've said elsewhere, MS only need this smart delivery thing because their first party games are going to be released for current and next gen consoles for the next year or two.
Sony aren't going to do that, and have already said their PS5 games are for PS5 only.
For third party games it's up to the publisher for both Series X and PS5. The system is in place if they want to use it, and has been since PS4 was released.
Sounds like it's more that they want to keep GTA online going next gen. So if they are doing up the engine for next gen for that, it's probably very little work to redo the single player campaign as well. So they figure they may as well milk it some more.
@pip_muzz If it's any consolation, the PS Blog says:
"The latest adventure in the Spider-Man universe will build on and expand Marvel’s Spider-Man through an all-new story. Players will experience the rise of Miles Morales as he masters new powers to become his own Spider-Man. With PS5’s ultra-fast SSD, players can near-instantaneously fast-travel across Marvel’s New York City, or feel the tension of each one of Miles’s web-swings, punches, web shots, and venom blasts with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback. Highly-detailed character models and enhanced visuals across the game intensify the story of Miles Morales as he faces great, new challenges while learning to be his own Spider-Man."
I really don't think the remaster interpretation is correct. I think it's going to be a shorter stand alone game. As long the price point reflects that, I'm happy. But we'll see.
It sounds to me like he means it's more of a Lost Legacy kind of thing. Which was what I expected with the ever obvious lack of a '2' in the reveal trailer. So really it depends on price doesn't it.
It's all a bit odd. I really don't think you can claim someone copied you by also doing an acoustic cover of an existing song. And 'wasn't initially credited?'. It was a tv ad, no one was credited, not New Order, and not the person who actually recorded the song in the advert.
Links are dead now, and apparently series x was also listed at £599. But I highly doubt there will be two versions of the console. Especially with potential supply chain issues as it is.
@Bagshot They are reduced if you search for the games. A collated page of deals on the PS Store is the last thing they update (I guess they make sure everything is reduced correctly first) and usually appears Wednesday afternoons.
@nessisonett lol. I just saw the image and assumed they'd announced the new date, only to be met with crushing disappointment upon reading the headline. 😂
Picked up Death Stranding on Monday for £24. 12 hours in, and it's another PS4 masterpiece. I've never really been a Kojima fan as generally I didn't like the lore of MGS, though last one I played was 2. After this though, I'd much prefer him to pump out original IPs and ideas, rather than sequels or reboots.
With the increase in digital libraries, I think BC for PS4 is important. And Cerny stated as much in his broadcast, which is why nearly all PS4 games will work as Sony have already said.
I've not watched the state of play, because I don't want to see anymore before I play it. Will look forward to watching these behind the scenes videos when I've completed the game.
But just watching this guitar scene again, it's going to look better than probably half the third party next gen launch games.
@Tharsman They have already said backwards compatibility will feature boosted modes. Again this isn't what Microsoft have said. Because MS have committed to all first party titles being x box one and series x compatible, they need to do this. If for example HZD 2 is a launch title I can guarantee there won't be a Ps4 version, which is the opposite to what MS have said they will do. Hence why they need smart delivery. As I said, for 3rd party titles it's up to the publishers. CDPR have pretty much said it be the case for Cyberpunk. And I believe this did happen for some PS3/4 cross gen titles.
I don't expect there to be a smart delivery system on ps5 because I think Sony will go the opposite way and have Ps5 exclusives. Smart delivery is irrelevant to tlou2 and Got because there is no Ps5 version, they will run on Ps5 but that's just backwards compatibility. It's also irrelevant to third party studios because it's up to them, not Sony or Microsoft.
I do love what they did with the ending, you get the happy outcome you want as you play through, but a completely messed up version of it. Looking forward to seeing where they take it.
To be honest, I don't think I'd have made it through Resi 7 without those loading sections when you squeezed behind the wallspace etc. A brief respite for my heart rate to drop...
I really like the wind/animal direction system. Will mean you take in the environment much more than staring at a minimap in the corner. A realistic gritty stealth based samurai game is pretty much my dream game.
Random question, but has anyone pre-ordered the deluxe version and do you have the digital soundtrack? If so, does it have the music from this story trailer in it? https://youtu.be/rTNfgIAi3pY

Isaac is on the old Fedra wanted posters in Seattle. So I don't think he's a former firefly in lore now. He's also a bit of a monster.

Re: PS4 Games on PS5 - All Confirmed Upgrades
@Richnj Yeah, I think this is supposed to be native PS5 releases. PushSquare could do with using a term like that to distinguish what is meant.

@LiamCroft
Did you guys see this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/comments/hbokpc/cdpr_investor_call_confirms_cyberpunk_bc/
Pretty big news if accurate, worth it's own news story?
There will be a day one next gen update patch for the backwards compatibilty version.
And then 2021/2022 the native PS5 version will be released, and will be free for anyone with the PS4 version.
So this pretty much confirms backwards compatibility games do have the option to be 'enhanced' with a patch from the developer.

So some calculations, based on the front usb port, being 1.2cm, which is a standard USB socket size.
It's about 36cm at it's highest point (tip of the fins) by 9cm at it's widest (the disc drive).
