@Cikajovazmaj on your Ps5, go to the store listing for spiderman game of the year, select the 3 dots and choose Ps5 version. You should be able to just hit download then. I'm pretty sure that's how I did it.

@Gilvin Nioh 1 was a PS+ game, so loads of people already got it for free. I suspect that may be a reason why.

I don't get the fuss about this. It's so much better than the terrible previous store. Just need to add wishlists back, but if going without it for a few weeks is the price to pay for getting a syncing wishlist across the PS5, website, and app, it's worth paying.

And I'm sure they'll have the screenshots back soon too, they are there on the new app, and the quality of the ones on the old store was really bad, so they needed redoing.

I hate the combat in the current Yakuza games, awful skill-less button mashing. So the negative points in the IGN review actually sound good.

I kind of like the history of their idiosyncratic ads that on the surface don't have much to do with gaming. The English VO lacks a dramatic edge though.
Also possibly didn't go with this style as only one of those games is a launch title?

This is kind of like complaining that you should be given a free blu-ray because you own a film on DVD.
Yeah, it would be nice if they did it for free, but you know, you don't actually have to buy it. Or just play the PS4 version you have.
A select few companies are doing it free, and they should be applauded, but equally you shouldn't denigrate the ones who choose to charge.

I don't play online, so doesn't matter to me, but upcoming freebies from Sony include Ghost of Tsushima Online, and GTA Online PS5 version. So it's not like they never offer free upgrades.

The only thing I ever managed to blag for free was a Henry Hoover for a student film about a cleaner (who day dreamed about being a hitman, though we didn't tell Henry that part). They sent us a brand new hoover to use in the film, and keep! Then one of the wheels snapped clean off in the first 5 minutes of filming...

@ShogunRok How's it work for you guys? Do Push Square have to buy them, or do you buy your own. Will you just get sent review code under the assumption one of you managed to get a preorder? Just curious, no worries if you don't want to, or can't, answer.

@wiiware The fact that there appears to be no apparent difference between the two modes in Ghost on the Pro definitely leads me to think that was done with PS5 in mind.

@Shigurui I've had PsNow for a few months now, downloaded and completed Control, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Spider-man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Evil Within, Evil Within 2, Lords of the Fallen, Observation.
Still have to go: Hollow Knight, Final Fantasy XV, Greedfall, Bloodborne, Hitman 2. More that I can't be bothered to list.

And it was £35 for the year. Honestly, I don't like these subscription services, and probably won't renew it when it expires. But all those games are preferable to me than the ones you mentioned. Depends what you like doesn't it.

Definitely interested to see how the S does. It seems so pointless to me, but time will tell. I suppose the other thing is that Sony will continue to sell the PS4, whereas the current gen X-Box is discontinued isn't it?

@AhabSpampurse I have PsNow, and I feel this same thing. I just tend to flit from game to game, without giving any single one the attention it deserves. I think part of it is thinking 'well I don't actually own it, so what's the point in getting into it. If my subscription expires I won't be able to play it anymore'. I don't know, it's weird isn't it.

Honestly, I don't get the love for Gamepass. Is it any different on Xbox? I have the PC one on trial at the moment, and on the whole there are better games on PSNow, then there are on PC Gamepass (for me). Genuinely curious.

I get the impression retailers were supposed to wait until this morning to open pre-orders. Sony should have given more notice, but let's not pretend having a set time and date in a week would have made this any less chaotic.

Argos go live on Friday, doesn't say time.

So far Bloomberg has claimed:
'The company has told assembly partners it would make 5 to 6 million units of the PS5 in the fiscal year ending March 2021'

'Sony Corp. is roughly doubling its PlayStation 5 production to 10 million units this year'

'Sony Corp. has cut its estimated PlayStation 5 production for this fiscal year by 4 million units, down to around 11 million'

So basically, they haven't got a clue what Sony are doing.

The first is on PsNow. It's good, I really enjoyed it. Solid 7/10. So will keep an eye on this for sure.

Obviously they need to sort the search out, it's rubbish. But not clicking view all under new games is his own fault, it's not like that is a small button you can easily miss. How many titles are there on the ps store I wonder? Honestly don't know an easy way to present all that info. Moving all DLC to a sublisting under the main game might help reduce it a little.

@Kefka2589 Yeah, it's definitely going to play nearly all PS4 games. Just what (if any) enhancements they will have is TBC. But instant loading will definitely increase the time I have to actually play games.

@Kefka2589 This is why I want to hear more about the backwards compatibility. If it does bring near instantaneous loading to PS4 games then I'm 100% in for launch regardless of the launch titles. A young toddler means gaming time is usually 30 minutes here and there. One of the reasons I gave up on Witcher 3 was because a 30 minute session usually involved 1 hour of loading. (That sentence may have used exaggeration for effect.) So it could basically triple my gaming time.

@Jake3103 Can you pause it? I keep trying to play Bloodborne, but being unable to pause makes it woefully unpractical for me.

@nessisonett Yeah, it's kind of a shame Capcom ignored that fact might be hindering sales. I too am waiting for sub £15/20. Most comments I see on the game are that they didn't put enough effort in for a full price game.

Honestly, I don't think this situation is that different from any GOTY version being released at a heavy discount compared to buying the full game, and season pass at release.

The free upgrade path to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 version of Control is only available for Control Ultimate Edition.

Look forward to doing a mirror mode grounded run on Ps5 with the BC. Be almost like a new game.
