Re: Best PS4 Kids Games

@Ogbert I think that "kids" games really means games that are accessible to kids. As an adult, I play whatever I darn well please. I played last month I played Rift Apart and DMC 5 back-to-back and it was fantastic. Haha!

I'm actually a tad surprised to see Sonic Mania on here. Don't get me wrong, Sonic Mania is my favorite Sonic game of all time, but that final boss kicked my trash, and I'm a grown-a adult. Haha!

Re: Poll: Should Sony Do More PS5 Director's Cuts?

I find it kind of off that games with a single narrative look to add a director's cut to the game. If the game has a lot of different levels then maybe it can fit in.

Take GoT, that one kind of makes sense because the whole game is basically broken into 3 levels, so adding a 4th is possible without breaking the narrative.

However, TLoU:2 doesn't make any sense because the game has one linear narrative. If they were to add or subtract from what is currently there then it could break the flow of the game.

But really, all I want is more haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in my games. After playing Astro's Playroom and Rift Apart, there's no going back. I'd pay for that. Hahaha!

Re: Sony Fans Bicker Over Ghost of Tsushima PS5 Paywall

@PeakyBlinder I don't know about that entirely. I'm a huge fan of Sony and their first-party titles and I still think that this $30 price tag is pretty darn steep. Ghost of Tsushima is easily one of the greatest games I have ever played in my life and the first game I got a platinum in, but I'm still pretty apprehensive about handing over $30 for this.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut Bundles in New Island Expansion, Coming to PS5 and PS4

So, just to be clear, if I already own the base game on PS4 then I need to pay $30 to get everything for the PS5 deluxe version, correct?

I know everyone in the comments is pissed about the pricing, but I couldn't care less. I paid $40 for this game and after 100%-ing it, I can easily say that I felt $40 was WAAAAAY too little for the experience I had. I'll happily put $30 in Sucker Punch's pocket simply as a thank you for their incredible game.

Re: Round Up: Scarlet Nexus Reviews Range from Good to Great

I played through the demo not too long ago. It was just okay to me. The combat felt off to me. You'd be chopping up a badie and then a button prompt would come up. You push the button prompt and it plays a mini cut scene of you killing the badie. This was cool once or twice, but it got old fast. The conversations, though, were the nail in the coffin. The devs decided to go with a graphic novel approach. It really slowed down the pacing for me. Not a day one purchase for me.

The loading times alone are what I'm the most excited about. I tried playing the game on hard back when I first played through this game, but the loading times took so long that I bumped the difficulty level down just so I would die less and see fewer loading screens.

I do agree with you @AFCC. It is surprising to me how these games still struggle to hit actual 4K 60 fps on these new consoles. Then again, I think about what games looked like from the beginning of the PS4 era compared to the end. It'll be amazing to see what game companies will be able to do with these consoles in 5 or so years from now.
