Re: Sony Celebrates the Evolution of Ratchet & Clank

B_Lindz

Honestly, this ad just makes me depressed. I haven't even come close to being able to get a PS5. I'm sure there's a lot of people like me that won't be able to experience this game for a long time, possible a couple of years, because of PS5 stock.

Re: Talking Point: Did Sony Lie About PS5?

B_Lindz

Lied is kind of a strong word, in my opinion. It's been a very strange start to this new gen. Most people that want a PS5 still can't get one, there's a worldwide silicon shortage, the pandemic is still going, and millions of people still have and regularly use their PS4 because they can't get a PS5 (myself included). Sony would lose millions if they didn't still focus on PS4 due to reason completely out of their control.

Re: PC Games Now Utilise PS5 DualSense Controller Features

B_Lindz

@LiamCroft Okay! I'm not crazy! I was playing A Plague's Tale: Innocence on my PC last night with a Duelsense controller. I noticed that I was getting haptic feedback while playing. At first, I thought it was just standard rumble functionality, but then I noticed that different things in the game made the rumbling in different ways in different directions depending on the circumstance. Like, if rats came spewing out of the ground, I could tell where it was happening by what direction the controller was rumbling in. I've never played Astro's Playroom, so I doubt it's on that level, but it did use rumble in a way that I have never felt before, especially on PC.

Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Patch Out Now, Adds 60FPS Option

B_Lindz

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm kind of torn between which one I like better between 30 fps or 60 fps. The 60 fps looks so incredibly smooth, but 30 fps feels so cinematic and fits the tone of the game so well. I'm just happy the option is available and that more people will be playing this game.

Re: All DualSense PS5 Controller Colours

B_Lindz

Look, if PS5 is still going to be this scarce and they are going to make new colors of this controller then the least they could do is make the controller work with PS4. It's just annoying at this point, if I'm being honest.

Re: UK Sales Charts: PS5 Roguelike Returnal Off to Slower Start Than Other Sony Exclusives

B_Lindz

Yeah, these sales numbers, especially with the pandemic, are probably WAY off from how well the game actually sold. I think, however, that Returnal sold less than Pokémon Snap... are we surprised? Returnal was a huge risk for Sony and Pokémon Snap was just about the safest game release Nintendo has made in recent years. Haha! Also, I am blown away that Returnal has sold as many copies as it has even with it being a PS5 exclusive and with how limited PS5 stock is. That's remarkable in and of itself.

Re: Leaked Document Reveals Xbox's Opinion of The Last of Us 2

B_Lindz

**Spoilers**
I am genuinely shocked by this review of the TLoU:2's gunplay and Naughty Dog's ability to make a game with good gunplay. I played Uncharted 2 in the PS4 Nathan Drake Collection a couple of years ago. It is difficult for me to play any other third-person shooter games now without it feeling inferior to that game's gunplay. Uncharted 2's gunplay was on a level that I will never forget and it demonstrated just how capable ND is at making a shooter.

As for TLoU:2, I think Xbox is missing the point. It's like looking at one of Monet's paintings and complaining that the brush strokes aren't straight. Playing as Ellie and Abby showcased ND's ability to craft combat, stealth, and gunplay according to how that individual character would fight. Ellie isn't a great fighter, but she's sneaky and scrappy. Abby is built like a friggin ox and had trained in shooting with the WLF and can take on just about anything head-on. Of course, Ellie and Abby aren't going to shoot like a Gears of War character or like Master Chief. The whole point of TLoU:2 was to walk a day in the shoes of these two characters (through hell and back again) and I, for one, think they accomplished this in literally every way possible. The game was simply a masterpiece.

Re: Sony on PS5 Stock: Don't Expect a 'Drastic' Supply Increase This Year

B_Lindz

@Ralizah I love comments that are as well thought-out and constructed as yours. I couldn't agree with you more. Sony wants people to buy their consoles, but that just isn't possible. Launching a console during a pandemic was a very risky move. I'm just impress with what Sony has been able to do during these crazy times.

Re: Even Returnal's Fast Travel Animation Is Impressive

B_Lindz

@vapidwolf Holy crap, you're right. Dang. Yeah, this probably the best performing game on consoles.

I just love how this game almost flew under the radar, but then reviewers were like, "Umm, guys? Guys!! You're, uh, going to want to see this." Haha!!
