Re: Feature: Replaying and Re-Reviewing The Witcher 3, Five Years Later

It's strange, I thought the combat was great and more interesting than a lot of games. On higher difficulties you really have to plan what offensive skills/items you use in order to beat certain enemies and the finishing animations were excellent. I suppose different mechanics suit different players.
My favourite game and I'm excited to see what they do with the franchise in the future. Now remake the first two for PS5 CD Projekt.

My main gaming activities this weekend will be continuing with my 'Deadly Obsession' run of Shadow of the TR. And when that annoys me by making reply half an hour when I die, I'll carry on saving the planet in X-Com 2.

Also just got Disney + so I'm going to indulge in The Mandalorian.

Happy and safe gaming fellow pusher of squares.

@Octane Like you say they want people to pre-order the gold edition or whatever one comes with the season pass. There are people who complain if you try and sell them the season pass without telling them what's in it so they can't really win either way.
Don't get me wrong I prefer CD Projekt's method (and probably others) of getting the game out then selling DLC later as seperate things.

@MS7000 Fair enough I don't know the exact process in their studios but just that various parts will be busy at different times in the development and can move on to other stuff before a game is finished. Whether we hear what content is coming next or not it's being planned/created all the same.

News Flash peeps, games take ages to make and you need to plan a long time in advance. The game may have only just been revealed but has been worked on for a few years and will be reaching the final stages of production. Writers/concept artists will be mostly done on the main game and can start planning extra stuff while programmers/testers put everything together.

Re: The Elder Scrolls 6 News and Details Are Still Years Away

BearsEatBeets

@LiamCroft @jdv95 I'm pretty sure it was because of the reaction they were getting to the Fallout 76 announcement. They felt the need to say 'hey, we're still making single player games too see', despite them being years away.
I thought there might be a Starfield reveal this E3 (back when it was happening) then release later it the year. Just like they did for Fallout 4, but probably not going by this tweet. Maybe next year then.

After replaying Resident Evil 2 I finally got some S ranks, Claire yesterday and Leon this morning. I started thinking I might actually go for the platinum but then I had a few goes of 4th Survivor, so maybe not.

After a surprisingly large update to Shadow of the TR I've made a start on a Deathly Obsession run. I'll also wind down with more of my X-Com 2 campaign.

Happy and safe gaming fellow Push Squarites.

Re: EA Suggests Its PS4 Games Can Be Upgraded to PS5 for Free

BearsEatBeets

I've pondered if Sony hasn't revealed they're doing this because they are going to literally show it. When they finally do the full reveal for the PS5 I can imagine them giving the info and saying 'here are a few games running their PS5 upgrade patch' and show gameplay from a few first party PS4 games improved.

After my couple of playthroughs of resi 3 I've decided to have another play of Resident Evil 2 and grab a few more trophies. Still some perfecting to do before an S rank I think.
Still keeping my soldiers alive in X-Com 2 and getting dangerously drawn back into RDR 2 online.

After a recent Uncharted campaign run I might start 2. But I've also reinstalled TLOU and Horizon recently and may give them another go soon.

It was a great idea but hampered by the execution and quality of the game. I started watching the first day but the matches lasted 5-10 mins then about half hour gaps in between. Sometimes they missed the start of matches as well. It's a shame because it was a stellar line-up and entertaining at times, mostly when we could hear the players themselves rather than the commentators.
