The studio has a lot of pressure for a hit with this one. Having to come out in a post BG3 world certainly isn't going to help. I hope they can pull it off though. I think we'll finally see some gameplay in the summer.

Guessing this is still a while off as the footage looked like the original. I'm thinking this was just about the announcement rather than showing off the rework. The camera change sounds interesting.

Every Hideo game seems to get crazier than the last. Quite enjoyed the first without being amazed by it. This looks just too bizarre to not want to experience it at least once.

@Loamy I would imagine this is a much shorter one just focusing on FF yeah. Maybe an immediate demo drop announcement.

It has a very similar look to RE4 so they are going to have to work hard to make sure it doesn't suffer in comparison.

I find myself thinking of the Ricky Gervais joke about guitar lessons increasingly often when checking comment sections of late.

Hopefully they have worked off what they already had for Topspin 4 and just update it and improve it visually. I really hope they get this right.

One to keep an eye on then. I'm curious though, has Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz been the Creative Director from inception and they are just announcing it now or has he just taken over the role from someone else?
Anyway Thronebreaker has an amazing story, it's a shame so few will experience it due to it's card based gameplay.

I’m not big on JRPGs but curious enough to give the demo a try. Just downloading now and quite enjoying the music playing on the game tile.

I'm probably one of the rare few who are fine with Sony's first party studios staying completely silent until they are near completion and almost ready to launch. I've always got plenty to play and don't need to know about anything more than several months away.
My only hope is they continue to let their studios make the games they want to make and are passionate about creating.

I would have gone for RE4 Remake. Visually and artistically impressive.

The bit that doesn’t seem to be covered here is that he shows no remorse for his actions or any willingness to stop.
It’s not so much about punishment but protecting everyone from someone mentally incapable of realising they are doing something wrong. We can hope that the hospital is able to find some kind of treatment that may help him overcome this and return to society.

I'd be surprised if they don't plan to release it alongside the TV show for maximum publicity.

@AdamNovice yeah I've only done an hour or so but there is already more to it than I thought. Just unlocked the 'new rage' which was great.

Unfortunately I've already had a Youtube thumbnail spoil the end so I immediately blocked that channel. Still, I forgot how pleasurable the combat was, even if it's taking a while to get back into the swing of it.

When I saw it was a roguelike my enthusiasm was tempered. However after catching some of Playstation Access' stream this evening I'm eager again. There were some narrative beats and also a neat new combat style I won't spoil.

I like they added most played each month this year.

I enjoyed the FFVII Remake enough that I'd like to play the next part but probably much later when it's reduced. Dragon's Dogma 2 has me curious so I'll keep an eye on it. Overall though the only one I am actually excited for is Star Wars Outlaws.
Fine with me though, I've got plenty to play for the time being.

Light no Fire was the most interesting for me and I'll certainly keep an eye on Exodus.
The former could be something great to get lost in as long as there are interesting things to discover. Also looks pretty crazy (as well as current NMS) for such a small studio.
The later could help fill the void left by Mass Effect and hopefully lead to becoming a new studio whose output we can look forward to.

Only ones I’ve disagreed with the majority on are Genshin getting the popularity award ( surely the player base is too large plus the ‘gift’ for voting) and the Elden Ring dlc. Pretty sure a developer said recently not to hear anything about for a while yet.

I was a big fan of 5 at the time but it definitely felt like the pendulum had fully swung into action game. For me 4 is already a tad too action focused and is why 2 is my favourite.
I think the original is sitting out in the cold and could do with remaking to have the main saga all together in the same style.

How many views do we think this will get in the first day?
I imagine the trailer will mostly just show the setting with a small glimpse of the main character (s).

@ShogunRok I fully intend to replay but going to play something else first before going back. At least that is the plan 🤔

I hope the update also includes remembering if you have hidden silly hats on characters when you swap them out of the party.

I know they've spent a lot of time updating but how is Cyberpunk an 'Ongoing' game?

I hope they can return to form and it ends up good. Otherwise I'm not sure they even get a chance to do another Mass Effect.

I'd be surprised if this isn't like all the usual sub sales where you can buy a year and add it to your existing subscription.

I have just turned off my PS5 having got the platinum trophy after finishing my first playthrough. I'm glad I waited so long to eventually play it as I loved it in it's current form.
Once the update hits tomorrow, I'll start a different background and try out the new stuff ready for the expansion next week.

@Splat I’m doing the exact flip of that. Just finished my male V nomad and going to do a female V street kid for the update/expansion.

I've only just recently finished my first playthrough and loved it. I'm still playing and mopping up trophies. In the process of deciding what to go for before the update and what to leave for after.
I think I'm going to start a second playthrough with a female V with a different background for the changes and DLC.

Playstation Access also mentioned about a special video (Spider-Man related) tomorrow. I've got a feeling there might be a lot of hands on impressions dropping tomorrow.

A decently optimised port is good enough for me to purchase. Anything above that is a bonus.

Whilst I’m up for another Last of Us game, I’m eager to see something new from them.
I’m hopeful the talk of staff moving off the multiplayer game was described as moving to other ‘projects’ plural. Maybe some staff are starting to kick off 3 but most are plugging away at a new IP that’s only a year or two away 🤞

@AinsleyE You seem to be the only one realising this. Without the Skull & Bones problems I very much doubt this would be happening (if it is). Overall a pretty smart decision to help recover some of development costs which they probably unlikely to recoup from the sales of S&B.

Ditto the thoughts of some others here that despite the second game being superior in so many gameplay and world crafting aspects I generally prefer the original. Mostly just prefer playing as John and his journey.
A total remake in the sequel world/engine would be the best, a basic remaster next best, but failing those a straight functional port to current gen would still be welcome.
I'm sceptical it's any of this and won't get my hopes up until an official announcement.

I was finally planning on playing the game after finishing what I'm playing now. When I heard about this I thought about holding off for a bit longer but seeing as there different endings/starts I think I'll still play it and do another playthrough when it drops.

For games shown with Avatar, Mirage and Outlaws all looking decent it was a good. As for the 'presentation', it provided all that is not missed from old E3.
