Re: Site News: Push Square Is Now Ten Years Old (We Think)

BeenGamingSince_83

I was a die hard CVG follower ever since I bought my first physical copy i 1983 and later on the web. So when that web site sadly died/ was taken down, a few years ago, I searched the web for my every day go-to site. So after trying out every other annoying site out there I finally stumbled over Push Square and was hooked. This was just the right web site!

Keep it going into my elder years, please. And keep up the great work! Happy anniversary!

I used to be a GTA addic back in the day. Still like the games, (not the online part that much though) but strangely enough I invested several days of gameplay into San Andreas on ps2, but gtaIV on ps3 and gtaV on ps4 just haven’t had the same pull on me... not sure why, but personally I think the narrative is over rated in IV and V.

" Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, a title widely lauded for its tight gameplay."
This baffles me ... I played the first chapter or something (escape from the hospital I think) and it was horrible (got it 'free' with PS+). All gameplay, visuals, direction and logic was just south of every other title recently played (in 2016/17). Can't imagine playing throught it to be honest.

Looks totally mental good! Day 1 for sure. Will be interesting though, to experience it in creation mode and see where the limits are. I remember LBP and the one plattformer I made, it hit the roof memory wise pretty easy. And this seems way beyond everything in LBP, but I guess a lot have changed since the PS3 days

@get2sammyb Maybe Zampella is rich... who knows, depends how one defines rich. Also, if you paid attention back in 2010, Zampella actually paid from his own pockets when starting the new studio Respawn and paying the wages for the employees the first couple of years or more while creating TF1. Also, Jason West was part of the deal when splitting with Activision, so Zampella didn’t get it all.

Re: Poll: Are You Loving Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on PS4?

In one word: awesome!
Everything seems perfect; the flow and balance between puzzles, action, firefights and dialogue. And the graphics ... my lord. It's just stunning! The vistas, not to mention water effects and reflections in this game, is just beyond belief. Even the explotions when tossing frags seems better and more powerfull than ever. Checkpoints when failing in firefights is also much more forgiving than say in UC4 where it at times felt just cruel.
I’m 5 hours in at the ending of chaper4 (found all tokens) playing on hard(I think crushing on this one will feel much better than in previous titles). All in all; it feels just fantastic. And the narrative in this one is just exceptionally performed.

I believe the SP will be as authentic as possible in all respects. As far as MP goes, not so much, but so what. It's a game, right? So as long as this is in between matches and not on the battlefield it's OK. I like being able do som stuff while waiting around the lobbies. And... no one is forcing you to either open Supply drops, watch someone else do it, use the items OR use any real money for that matter ...
