I'll happily pay an extra $10 so Activision can post record profits followed by mass layoffs. Not one of these major publishers are losing money they're just worried the loot box bubble is about to burst.
In Canada they arbitrarily raised prices $10 when the PS4 launched. A new game is $79.99. Now if they raise the price $10 USD it will probably be $94.99 for a new PS5 game for Canadians.
I would like it if the PlayStation store wouldn't recommend games to me which I already own. If I have the game installed from a disk to my HDD chances are I'm not going to buy it digitally.
I know 8k sounds more impressive, but I'd prefer 60fps become normal not the exception. This will be the third HD console generation and I think it's about time 1080p @ 60fps became the bare minimum.
You know that feeling when you've been meaning to watch something on Netflix for a long time only to find out it's not there anymore? Now imagine the feeling when you're 20-30 hours into a game and it goes away because it was no longer financially viable for Google to keep it running.
In the last few years I've started waiting games out to pay less. I just picked up AC Origins with the season pass for 65% off. As I get older I care less and less about playing the new hot thing and would rather wait for bugs to be patched and steep discounts. The only exception to this are first party Nintendo games because the quality is usually top notch and they never go on sale.
I'm tempted to pick it up but I just can't bring myself to drop $80(in Canada) for two crap expansions and one good one. I think I'll wait until I can get all of it for about $20 a year from now.
If I want to pay extra to skip the gameplay aspect of the game I just bought, either the game was designed with a brutal grind or I don't really like the game and should cut my losses and trade it in. Unfortunately it's more often than not the former rather than the latter.
I just can't bring myself to drop the $80 it costs in Canada(for all 3 expansions). I already spent $80 on the base game last year and while I did enjoy it, I just don't have the time to invest.
@adf86 The anti-consumer part is the locking of a person's Epic account. Also Sony requires PS Plus for multiplayer as well. Don't get me wrong Nintendo and Microsoft both have or had anti-consumer practices. The former still not allowing me to move my Switch saves to an SD card; and the latter used to require a Golf account just to watch Netflix.
I could see The Division be one of the games, especially now that the sequel has been announced. Also I feel it’s just a matter of time before The Order shows up.
I’m glad that in 2017 we can pay $60 for the privilege to be EA’s beta testers. Unfortunately when this game doesn’t meet expectations it’s the developers who suffer not the suits who demand this crap in the game.
@redd214 I paid $11to see Gladiator in 2000 and $13 to see Thor Ragnarok last week. I paid $70 for Final Fantasy 8 that year, Destiny 2 was $80(in Canada). Plus $50 if I want the season pass, which is almost a requirement in a game like that. So the cost really hasn’t stayed the same. Also with the rise of digital sales publishers don’t have to pay the manufacturers or retailers.
Publishers scream poor and say games are becoming to expensive to make. Yet all the big publishers report record profits year over year. If games are to expensive it’s their own fault. Every game doesn’t need a giant open world and some kind of shoehorned in online component.
What would really help would be if they required games to show the drop rates for everything in loot boxes. That way you would know you have a better chance of being struck by lightning while holding a winning lottery ticket, than getting that ultra rare legendary drop you want.
@get2sammyb but imagine if I could actually choose what I was buying, instead of it being random. But it’s not really random in most cases. In most games the the stuff people want has an astronomically low drop rate you better be prepared to put down some serious money.
As the only entertainment industry which absolutely screws over the people who actually make the games, I’m sick of publishers screaming poor all the time. Does anybody else remember when you didn’t pay $60 for an empty husk of a game (Battlefront), only to have it actually finished a year later. If you spent the extra $50 on the season pass. Micro transactions are crap but the real exploitive behaviour are loot boxes. I’m paying you real money so at least have the decency to let me see what the hell I’m buying.
I'm about 2 hours into the campaign and already the story is light years beyond the first one. I'm still getting used to shotguns and snipers being power weapons though. Also has anyone been liking the grenade launchers? I'm not sure if it's just me, because I'm garbage at shooters, but they seem kind of crap.
How about the ability to reorganize my home screen. I have zero interest in PlayStation Now and would like to be able to move the icon. Also PSN name changes, just because WTF Sony.

Re: Guide: All Free EA Access Games on PS4
I feel that it really needs more sports games.

I'll probably wait until Black Friday when I should be able to get it for about 50% off.

Re: Another Big Ghost Recon: Wildlands Patch Sneaks into View Next Week
@Nightcrawler71 I played the entire game solo and really enjoyed it.
Re: Another Big Ghost Recon: Wildlands Patch Sneaks into View Next Week
I really wish they would add New Game +. I know Tier mode was supposed to take that place, but it's not really the same.
Re: Sony Confident of Cross-Console Play Solution
@get2sammyb Microsoft makes you sign into XBL because they own Minecraft. It's no different than signing into an Epic account for Fortnite.

Re: Poll: Is Final Fantasy IX the Best Final Fantasy?
I personally think FFVI is the best of the series. Although IX is the last one that I've played.
