I don't want to derail the topic but there is a reason I moved to USA for the salary. USA cares mostly about money, and Canada, EU, UK have a lot of more integrity when it comes to its consumers. I'm not saying this gen is more creative. It's not, but there's really not else that can be done at this point. Just enjoy the game that combines superb stuff and that's it.

None of the games I played on ps5 are fresh. Everything is an improved form of something, but I still enjoy games. I don't have to hate on things because I already experienced it. If it's good, it is good, and HFW is an amazing game. Not perfect.

Yes. HFW world is amazing. One of the best ever made. What I mean with checklists is that the map has to have machines camps and stuff like that. As long as it's not overdue like spider-man, hogwarts or ubisoft games, a checklist is ok. Even Elden Ring has repetitive used assets in their dungeons lol.

And I love the story and characters. Sorry to disappoint you. I think Aloy is one of the best female characters created. Sylens, Erin, Varl were good too. HZD story was better tho.

Every side mission, every character in those are different in HFW. Ubisoft is such a literal copy and paste side quests with no background at all. At least there was a sense of wanting to keep exploring in HFW compared to FC4 (haven't played the latest AC and don't plan on playing the new FC).

Every open world has checklist so that's not the issue. Hogwarts legacy was more formulaic and more ubisoft like than horizon too. There weren't too many copies and paste stuff in horizon.

Ubisoft is so much lazier making open worlds, gameplay and general. They pump more of these too.

Man everyone now complains about every ***** game. Gow is a DLC, ER was about technical prowess, HFW was too "generic", doom eternal is more of the same.

Same ***** will happen with ff16, zelda and spiderman 2. Oh, FF lost its identity, it's not turn based. Zelda and spiderman 2 are more of the same (although that's what sequels do you zombies).

I think it's because of the no showcase since more than a year. It's too much honestly. A big showcase should happen once a year, and a few state of play in between, even if it's a one game sop.

Amazing game, althought I can't stop thinking almost all the characters created on ps4 are somehow inclusive. Atreus and Nathan's Daughter might be lgbt too. No problem with me. Doesn't add or retract a point from a game. It's just interesting they are kind of going the Disney route.

I'm on my 6th game beaten this year and most of them aren't in a sub, and the ones that were, I just rather buy them for cheap and keep them "forever".

I let Wo Long sit because I honestly didn't feel like playing it. Nioh and Nioh 2 felt better and those were last gen games.

If people had a choice, they would go to the movie theater only to see movies that are worth it, go to restaurants that have good food etc.

I've seen the stupid list wars of exclusives this year and ofc sony only has spider-man 2, but that game alones crushes the 5 or so games xbox is releasing on 2023. These numbers are up and no ff16 and spider-man 2 (their biggest seller) have been released.

The thing is people like to complain about the other side, but one side is clearly winning so that doesn't make sense, does it?

If Starfield isn't impressive, will any of their other games be besides a racer? Hellblade 2 looks good, but the first one was very short and most of it was puzzles and not something you can sell a system on. I can already see Bethesda games going lower on the budget (redfall and hifi rush). I'll be pissed if they ruin iD software. That's the best fps dev right there. We could've gotten high budget FPS from them but now due gamepass and budget limitations they might not be the pearl they once were.

Anyways this is actually worse than last gen imo. Sony is doing better than ps4 in terms of games (by the second year we only had bloodborne) and xbox has way more studios but somehow they are in the sameboat. We predicted the possible bad outcomes of gamepass and this is it right here.

Hoping nintendo releases a high end system next gen. I'll buy that one for sure.
