It seems like every successful video game franshises are getting their own TV-series/ movies these days.

Only a few thousand units were available in Norway. It was sold out instantly with many websites crashing due to the demand.

Even if the disc drive version costs less than 599 usd. It will definetly cost more than 599 usd in Norway. probably closer to 800 usd

@Ralizah I don't think Sony wants to mirror the PS3 when it comes to production costs

The PS3 struggled when the console costed as much as it did at launch. I know I would have a difficult time justifying a 500$+ price at lauch when there's few games available for the system. The same happened when Sega released the Saturn for 399 instead of the PS1's 299.

I still miss the colored logo, I didn't like that Sony changed the logo to one color for all PlayStation marketing, with the exception of refering back to the original logo such as the PS classic and the PS1 style PS4 controller

As long as the rubber on the analogue sticks doesn't tear off instantly I'm happy. Both of the early ps4 controllers that were bought with the system had it's rubber worned down quickly.

I think the controller will be unveiled in February/March, and the console itself will be unveiled around E3 time, similar to the PS4

@nessisonett announcing PlayStation 5 too early would probably dampen the current sale performance of the PS4.

I hope they bring back the colored PlayStation logo again with PlayStation 5. Altough it's fairly unlikely

That's even more than Super Mario 64, which was the best selling game of the fifth console generation! Seems that there are more people playing games now than before

@ShogunRok Maybe Sony will be able to maintain a stronger Miiverse network compared to Nintendo.

It would be nice to see PS5 be backwards compatible with all previous console generations. But if not all are made available it would be nice to see PS1-PS2 support

PS1: Released in 1994
PS2: Released in 2000
PS3: Released in 2006
PS4: Released in 2013
I would guess from previous releases that PS5 is going to be released in 2020 at the earliest.

I do believe facial animations are done late in development, it's more important to get things to work properly first
