Re: Soapbox: Fans Think PlayStation's Losing Momentum, And Sony's to Blame

HungryWolf

They said "We are exploring new and familiar ways to engage our community in 2019 and can’t wait to share our plans with you."
So, how about wait and see? Is that difficult to wait?
I know we are in an age of "give me now" (very noticeable in the intermission of E3 2018), but can we just relax and enjoy these great games, and when they're ready to share those plans, we will be here to listen.
And there are more companies making games for PS4.

Re: Expensive, Early Access Releases Are Big Business for Publishers

HungryWolf

Remember when people review-bomb Shadow of the Tomb Raider because of a temporary price drop? People were furious because they insulted the fans who have the "privilege" of buying the game day one at full price.
People want the privilege of being the first to obtain something, and companies are exploiting that impulse. I mean, I see many gaming youtubers doing the same thing, asking for patronage and rewarding the patrons by being the first to consume any content they produce.

Re: Three of Four Final Fantasy XV DLC Episodes Cancelled, Director Tabata Leaves Square Enix

HungryWolf

@NoxAeturnus
I remember when articles and comments about FFXIII and the sequels hurt the FF franchise future.
Today, here we are, again, articles and comments saying that updates and DLC planned for FFXV hurt and dilutes the franchise.
FFXV is the fastest selling FF with 8.1m units sold by September 2018.
What I want to say is, we all be here again when comments are whining about the combat, or other changes being made in FFVII Remake, but still hyped to the roof for the game.

Re: Talking Point: How Much Does Cross-Play Matter to You?

HungryWolf

@get2sammyb Wasn't Final Fantasy XI PS2 cross-play with PC one of the first cross-play titles?

As for the issue of cross-play, the people who write the articles about cross-platform are not representative of the big slice of consumer (IE, don't own 2 or 3 consoles plus gaming PC).
As for Fortnite, Minecraft or Rocket League, this games are not big enough to force Sony to do the cross-platform. The only games I think would do force Sony to change their stance are FIFA or COD.

Re: Guide: Why Doesn't Sony Allow Cross-Play on PS4?

HungryWolf

While Fortnite is the most trending game now, but it can change in the future with the appearance of a new trend.
The games that could change Sony's mind about cross-platform are FIFA or Call of Duty. If Activision or EA decided they want everybody to play with everybody no matter the platform, that would be big.

Re: Feature: All the E3 2018 Press Conferences Rated and Reviewed

HungryWolf

I have to be honest, there is no winning this. Specifically for Sony. If they rehash the same format (what happened in 2017), people say they are complacent. If they experiment (like this year), it's hubris. So, what do you want?
Reading through the articles and comments, people don't want press conferences, people just want one thing, trailers announcing new games, that's it.

Re: Reaction: Sony's Strong E3 2018 Show Almost Ruined by Rubbish Format

HungryWolf

People have no patience. I think the show was good. The intermission was a good place to present the third party deals (the part that everyone say always suck in every conference anyway).
People just think they are entitled to wherever.
If you just want to see trailers, wait for the conference to finish and go to Youtube, they will be there to your convenience.
