Re: Soapbox: I Can't Believe How Many Cool Moments Final Fantasy VII Remake's Final Trailer Spoils

HungryWolf

@ShogunRok What is considered a spoiler? If you consider any information presented without context, then you can't watch or read anything because it's going to reveal something.
In the trailer, you refer Rufus was spoiled, but how? He is not called by name, and there is no context of who he is or what is his motivation other that we are going to fight him.
Only people that played FFVII know who he is.
Zack is only identifiable if you have play FFVII Crisis Core and notice that Zack carries the Bustersword in his back with the edge down.

In my opinion, the trailer doesn't spoil for players who never played FFVII.

Re: Talking Point: Why Isn't Sony Saying More About PS5?

HungryWolf

@FullbringIchigo I think the COVID 19 situation is one of the big factors to Sony being quiet.
Having a full blowout of information for PS5, when people are more interested and worried about the virus, is going to be lost in the sea of news.
I understand that media outlets like Push Square would like to have information to publish and write about. But the truth is, the world now in state of emergency.

Re: PS4 Exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn Will Come to PC in 2020, Says Report

HungryWolf

First, it's not the end of consoles. The end of consoles will come when streaming is viable.
Second, I think there is a strategy here at work, and it has to do with the Decima engine. It possible that Sony want to position the engine as a way to attract developers to the PS environment, with the option to release later on PC.

Re: Reaction: PlayStation's Most Ardent Fans Are Feeling Frustrated and Insecure

HungryWolf

One thing I see this generation is many of the games release first on PS4, but without any exclusivity deal (at least that we know): Nier: Automata, Ni-Oh and even the latest Yakuza games were on PS4 first.
I think the strategy in many of this games were to development on the console with biggest player base, and later port the game to other platforms. After all, even with similar architectures, developing for two consoles at the same time requires more resources.

Re: Soapbox: In Defence of Death Stranding

HungryWolf

Don't know why, but Sony relationship with Death Stranding reminds me of the relationship Sony had with No Man Sky. While Sony has put money and resources into the game, they seem to be distant from the game.

Re: Talking Point: PlayStation Plus Is in Desperate Need of an Overhaul

HungryWolf

@TuckNorris85 @deepspace5d Offering a PSVR game is not going to placate the backlash. Remember the Days of play that was almost all VR titles? People were complaining.

Also, the money is also for infrastructure, and making PSN more stable is great.

With the launch of PS5 we could see a rise of the number of games offered in IGC.
