The game works perfectly. You're all making things up. I've played 600 hours so far on a PS3 with ultra settings turned on and not even seen a frame dropped yet.
You're wasting your time with that other chap. He appears to be ok accepting that games have grinds that are artificially high in order to sell boosts. He'd probably be ok of all games were designed like Star Wars: Battlefront 2 where lootboxes were originally the central pillar of game design. He'd put that down as to be expected because of capitalism 🙄
@MaccaMUFC why are you in a rush to progress and would actually consider paying to level up? Does it matter if the game takes you 6 days or 6 months to complete? I'm genuinely interested.
@JapaneseSonic you have a point but I disagree. its the only possible way to organise things according to the powerful families who have orchestrated western society to operate that way. There are plenty of other ways civilisation could grow and prosper outside of capitalism.
@Grindagger ahhh so you're also a shirker. Anyone who picks up on your faulty logic and grandiose posturing gets straw-manned and ignored. You should go into politics.
@Grindagger not a personal attack. As per my original comment I labelled anyone who thinks these boosts as optional and of no detriment to the game an idiot. You fall into that category.
As for forcing a view on people, you're the one replying to anyone you don't agree with trying to convince them that the practice of capitalism has been around since the birth of civilisation so we shouldn't be surprised...hahaha what a joker you are. You must've started gaming 5 minutes ago if this is how you see the industry. Carry on apologising for the inclusion of ***** MTs and telling everyone its inevitable so don't moan. Carry on moaning about moaning. The irony 😆😆
Anyone who says 'who cares its optional' is a bloody fool. XP boosters existing means that the fundamental design of the game has to promote the need for these boosts. So what we get is a game that has had its grind artificially increased beyond what it would require if boosts didn't exist, a game that doesn't respect your time and wants you to spend more of it than you normally would just to access basic content to the point where you might consider saving time by buying a boost.
You think its optional, you're an idiot if you can't see how its detrimental to all game design in games we already pay for to own.
@Matroska happens all the time. I worked at DHL 15 years ago and I remember a lorry carrying expensive computer chips was hijacked and my mate being bound and gagged. Scary stuff. This isn't really news beyond its an unusual way of doing it.
I'm the biggest TLoU fan, love Ellie as if she were a daughter, but I'd vote Ghost because its simply stunning to look at and lots of fun to play. I've spent as much time playing the game as I have in photo mode; its irresistible. So very, very pretty and atmospheric.
@elvisfan1 you got to balance the acceleration and braking, its much faster to go slower than you instinctively want. My friend and I play this and I'm constantly trying to tell him that throttle and breaking are not full on/full off binary options, feathering is key, as is knowing the biting point of tyres, speed and conditions, which you can only assess if you're going at the right speed.
Eventually stages are pure exhilaration once it all clicks. Hammering down a mountain on snow keeping things under control is so satisfying!
The dualsense is so good in this that I don't use my steering wheel all the time. I have a G29 but I love the haptic feedback of the controller, especially when the car is damaged.
"Even though it's a fairly minor feature in the grand scheme of things..."
No its not. Its a game changing feature that totally enhances the immersion and can simulate the kind of tactile feedback from driving you'd get from your posterior as you drive. I can't believe you think its a minor feature 🙄
@MichaelHawj ...or judge MTs done the way this and FIFA have done them more harshly in reviews when scoring because they are predatory. The game is just a vehicle to sell them, it has become the fundemental core of the game around which everything else is built. We don't need F2P ideals in full price games, it shouldn't be supported.
@Artelous its a launch game because its available to play on PS5 on its launch like all the other launch games. In amongst those launch games are games exclusive to Sony. How have you managed to not understand the difference? So what do you call games that are available for a new console launches that aren't console exclusives? A 'That-was-a- bit-of-luck-a-developer-made-a-next-ge-version-of their-game-for-my-new-console-and-released-it-on-the-day-the-new-gen-console-is-released' game?
"There are just eight maps to master at launch, many of which are either forgettable or downright frustrating. That's significantly LESS than past entries.."
You're a journalist, you should know the difference between less and fewer, you write for living. Take some pride in your work and brush up on your grammar 👍
You're wrong on so many levels. PSNow has over 800 games compared to 200 on GP, with PS2 and PS4 games downloadable, no streaming required. You can subscribe to it for £37 for a year right now, nobody pays the full monthly amount you mentioned unless they're too lazy to wait for a deal. It has FAR more variety than GP with more AAA titles. To their credit MS put on their first party titles at launch but so what, they just spent the last entire generation not bothering to make them in any great number. PSNow is a better service that if Sony bothered advertising and bringing it to every country theyd make a fortune but Sony, thankfully, have prioritised making content rather than appropriate it. And I own an Xbox for GP and I'm annoyed that MS have placed it central to their plans. I don't want a fractured landscape like we have with TV and films where we have to sign up to multiple subs and I don't expect GP pricing to remain cheap in the longrun.
@Akurusu what planet do you live on? Sony and MS have spent months promoting consoles that weren't available to buy so that when they are you'll want one. What a dumb thing to say. How do you not understand how marketing works? 😆😆😆
Ebuyer have screwed over loads of customers but GAME gets the media attention. Not defending GAME but media outlets are just a bunch of parrots repeating each others stories. Do any of you actually research anything? Ebuyer have ruined far more people's launch day than all other outlets put together but all we hear about are the same old articles that do the rounds on every site because that's easier.

@LordSteev thanks, I'll muddle on best as i can. Censorship reveals a lack of confidence in oneself so I wish him well.
