I got lucky in finding an Xbox Series Next this past January. I have yet to see any Playstation 5's anywhere in stores, and I definitely won't be paying the price online for one. However, that being said, there hasn't been much 'only for' on either the PS5 or Series Next. Whatever comes out, I can get for the PS4 to tide me over. Only game on PS5 that I'd like is Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. However, I'll still purchase the system, because I know eventually (whenever they get their inventory set and get demands met), the games will eventually pour out for it...however, the way it's going, their next consoles will be coming out. I might as well start saving up for the Playstation 6.
I can't wait to see what Sony has been working on, I even can't wait to see what Nintendo has been working on. Hoping for some new IP's or even some of their classic IP's making a large comeback...Lemmings, Parappa The Rapper, Twisted Metal, Ico, Legend Of Dragoon, Wild Arms, Jet Moto, Cool Boarders, Jak And Daxter, Sly Cooper...just to name a few from Sony.
@rjejr Don't say nobody has 2 DDR mats...I have two for the PS3 and also 2 for the Wii. Both are stored right now with other controllers that were only used for just one or two games. It's the Rock Revolution drum kit and the Guitar Hero Guitars that are taking up the most room, and the stupid Nintendo Labo Cardboard pieces.
What would really be nice, is to see Sony bring back the Playstation All Stars Battle and do this kind of addition. All Stars could definitely have improved if it wasn't given up so quickly, and Sony had enough IP's to keep it going, and I'm sure if they would have, other companies would have wanted to get into it as well (just like they do with Smash). As for this game, I just downloaded it and I'll look into it soon. I'd rather have one that doesn't have to be connected to the internet, because let's face it, eventually, it goes down and you lose everything. Still though, will definitely give this one a go to. I liked Lego Dimension too, granted it wasn't a fighter, but, just like what this game will do, it will become just as expensive with buying new characters and probably more (I'm sure levels and more will be added to buy). That's one thing I hate, is paying a lot for a game and then paying just as much for expansions and more.
@get2sammyb I also saw that there is a Cowabunga collection coming soon too. I'm just wondering if this game is part of it, or just sold separately to the ones being released on the collection.
Just out of curiosity, I've noticed that you can purchase some of the games on the store...if I bought one or two, would I be able to play them without joining the service?
Eh...bring back some good Sony titles again. Mod Nation Racers, Playstation All Stars Battle, Eye Pet for the VR, Sports Champions without move controls, TWISTED METAL. Sony has many IP's too and could do so much. Playstation Move Heroes was another. All Stars Battle could really become great again, just work on loading times. Little Big Planet Karts would also be a nice one to bring back!
I agree that this game could also be on PS4, but come on...at least have some exclusives for the PS5 too. As much as I'd love to have this game to play right now, it gives me something to look forward to when I actually get my hands on a PS5, and this is the game that I will buy for it first (unless more come out later). Other than that, I remember the PS2 Gamecube Xbox era...any one remember how bad loading times were for Crash 4: The Wrath Of Cortex???? The loading for that game was horrible for PS2...a little better for Xbox and almost no loading for Gamecube...not really sure where I am going with this, but it shows that the SSD is what really matters with a console, and who would want to play the newest game on an older machine where they would be waiting for more 'loading time' than actually playing?
So I just have to ask, as I have a PS4 and have an 8TB external hard drive...here it is...I am one that likes to have a large retail game collection (I have over 80 for PS4) and I also download a lot on the consoles (I own over 500 downloaded games on the PS4 as well). Does this mean, that when I finally get a PS5 and do the same, that not only do I have to get an external hard drive, but I also have to get an internal too?
@Quintumply Thanks, I'll look into it. Honestly, never heard anything about it...not many movies released these last 14 months, only ever heard of a few children's ones and a few others. Hopefully, the film isn't that much of a let down like many others I've been seeing. Not sure if it's my age of 41 that I feel like the movie magic is gone in many films.
Dare I ask...where is the movie? Is it on Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, Amazon...where? It actually sounds like a cheesy horror-comedy that would be fun to watch.
As for the game, I was disappointed. It was the first game I got on the VR system, and I couldn't wait to play it...sadly, all I got to experience was sitting at the campfire looking around because no one else was playing and (since it had to be online only), the game itself couldn't find a single person to play with. It was a shame, but hopefully it could become a Couch-Co-Op game with online aspects too.
Hmmm...maybe other companies can follow this, and release the games that were canned on other systems...I'd love to play some of the games that were mentioned for other consoles, but never arrived...there were many listed for Genesis, NES, Super NES, Gamecube, Saturn, Dreamcast that never saw the light of day. I'd also love to know why that CHILD's PLAY game that I saw the advertisement for (through the case) for Playstation 3 was cancelled...I couldn't wait to hear more about it, especially when I found out that you'd play as Chucky. Then, a year goes by and never heard anything else. I still have the insert for it.
@Tharsman You forgot Lucky's Tale, Sunset Overdrive, State Of Decay, Rare Replay, Zoo Tycoon and two that returned from the 360 era...Disneyland Adventures and Rush. I'm with you, they had a few good first-party titles.
I actually liked Playstation Home on PS3...it was just something different for its time. I also liked the Free Realms game for PS3 too, as I found myself playing both for hours. Home was just fun, it had plenty to do, but I wasn't big on paying high costs for just a little furniture (some was just a little too expensive), and of course with purchasing the items, and finding out that you basically lost them after they closed down the service, was a big letdown.
I'd love to see it come back, but I would hope that the loading times would be worked on if they did, and letting your character actually talk would be kind of fun too. Maybe it could make a comeback, just like I'd like for some of Sony's old IP's to make a comeback too, but who knows...maybe Playstation 6 will have a big comeback of titles!!!!
Would really be nice to have all 3 of the Wii's exclusive Sonic titles out on it. Sonic and The Secret Rings could come for the VR if even (although the speed could make some people sick...including myself). I'm good on re-playing the Sonic Colors game though, was pretty good on Wii.
As I've never played this (or the sequel), I may pick it up for the VR, but that really depends on the price. I'd rather see the Silent Hill games move over to the VR.
This is why I like Couch-co-op games. It's more fun playing with a friend in the same room, rather than trying to find someone online. I remember Smash Bros on either Wii or Wii U. I'd be playing online, and someone would drop out, and it stopped the fighting. After that, I try to avoid online play...I enjoy playing games with my kids, but I hate not finding many fun party-type games to do so.
Great to know. Eventually I'll pick up a PS5, until then, much to play on PS4 at the moment, and I'm loving Sackboy on the PS4. Not really knowing how much of a difference this game is on PS4 compared to PS5, but would definitely play it again on the PS5 eventually.
Too many sales recently. I find myself buying too much to play eventually, but it's nice to have all the games go on sale and build up the library...just trying to find the time to play is a different story!!!
So this is JUST NOW a problem? As far as I remember, this has started happening since online shopping sites started popping up in the world and becoming a 'thing'. When I was younger, the NES, Genesis and Super NES were hard to find when they came out too at launch, so were some of the others. PS2 was impossible for a long time and the Wii was almost a year before store shelves started to be able to keep it on the shelves. Since the past, I've known better, it's going to be like this for any console launch, but yeah, the scalpers do get away too easily, and it's parents that become the victim more...especially around the holidays. Other than that, there is a way to stop it...DON"T PURCHASE FROM SCALPERS DEMANDING MORE PRICES.
Other than that, not sure how 'bots' work, but I wish someone could look into it and put an end to it, even though it will never happen, and this isn't just for video game consoles...people do it with the hottest Christmas-seeking toy (tickle me elmo, hatchimals or figures anyone), cellphones and even tablets. No matter what, though, even if they push laws, it won't stop scalpers in general...they'll find a way around it to get their money. Anyone actually know if this is happening with the Xbox Series Next, as it seems to be impossible to find that console too? Also, the Switch hasn't been seen on store shelves too, so is that another one (which has happened the last 3 years of it's lifecycle)?
Can't wait to get this one, as I've played the first constantly. I'm just not sure if I want to purchase for the PS4 (where I can play it now) or just get it on PS5 for when I actually purchase the system (for a game on day one to have for when I do get the PS5). Decisions!!!!
Yes, a lot of games get released week after week...retail and download only, but that's the way companies make money, so no biggie. It's bad for certain companies that are hoping for big sales on theirs, only to find out that another game arrived to and took money from their sales, but that's how it goes...plus, who wants a system that barely has any games releasing for it?
This kind of thing happens with movies too...there's plenty of movies that release both in theaters, digital and direct to video on a weekly basis too, nobody said to go out and buy every single one at the same time. It's where you wait, wait for the price to go down, wait for the interest to stop in one game and move onto another. I have a big backlog of games to play too, but that's where the boredom to do so comes in, and when it does, I'll play them...other than that, even when the system is 3x consoles old, it's still fun to come back and play them again. When I was a kid, it was always great having a big collection because you knew some were good to play constantly and some weren't. It's like that now for me too, if I own a console, I want an extensive library to make it worth it, especially when my kids are getting into the gaming scene too.
Once again though, no one makes you buy the games, it's your decision, and my opinion is that if a console has a lot of games on it, it makes the console sell and look good in store shelves.
Looks more like a cross between Horizon...Zelda and Kid Icarus.
Looks kind of fun and engaging. When I finally purchase a PS5, this might be something I'll look into later...by that time, it will be down in price too.
Any other older players like myself, actually curious about the Space Invaders game?
Anyways, looking forward to Space Invaders and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for myself, possibly some others on the list, but really trying to play backlog catch up and saving up for the PS5 after the holidays. Possibly, will get Puyo 2 on the PS5 for in the future.
I guess I'm in the BOTH category. Technically, I would rather have the game physical...as if I don't like it, I can put it away, but I do buy a ton of downloads too, and some have been big titles. During my PS3 days, it took a while to buy those big titles, but...after some were hard to find in stores, and flash sales started popping up on the Sony Store, it was a better investment...but I would never pay full price for a AA title that I never played as I was afraid of paying a lot for a game that I didn't enjoy. With an external attached, I do have more on PS4 than I have had for PS3. Not sure how I'll end up on the PS5. Guess it all depends on space, not really feeling like running out of space quickly.
I still feel that digital is not the way to go for game companies yet. Most parents still look for the console that has a lot of retail games on the shelves, it's what sells the console still. Look how bad the Wii U did, as it barely had anything on the store shelves (granted they also threw them together with Wii games). Also, The PSP Go failed. Unless the companies offer a console with bigger harddrives, then it's not going to happen. Paying a high cost for a console, another pretty high cost for a second controller, and another cost for a hard drive gets pricey real quick...add that with the cost of a game (which are going up) and you got a very expensive gift.
Wow...the system just came out, so of course there will be some bugs to fix. Let's not also forget how long it took for everything to arrive on the previous systems too...granted all of this should be done and available right away instead of waiting, it still takes them awhile...PS3 took forever to finally be able to add folders, PS4 took a while to be able to add an external hard drive. As for PS5, before I get it, I really hope they improve on the memory. I'm not one that enjoys having to move games and files constantly to be able to play them, especially for someone who usually has a large library of retail and downloadable games (like myself). Trust me, if I can fill a 2TB internal on the PS3 with games (also have plenty of TV episodes and movies on it too) and fill up the console and an 8TB external on the PS4, I'm going to be one that has enough storage.
Guess I'll be learning some things for when I eventually get the console...possibly some time next year...until then, I'll stock up on a few games for it, an extra controller and a new external for it. Hey, at least when I get it, I'll have some things to do on it!!!
I don't see the trend lasting too long. Guess more people like myself will wait for the prices to drop before getting the games.
I do remember back in the late 90's when Atari tried this. The jaguar was expensive and each game cost $100. Yup, that turned into a failure! Let alone, doesn't Sony remember what happened when the PS3 launched at a high price...it hurt the console for a while. Hey, it also happened with Nintendo when they released the 3DS. Sometimes, money hungry is not the answer...to be fair, I'm not even getting either of the consoles at launch, but that's also because I still have yet to play many of the games I own on the PS4, but I just feel that the price is a little too high, and the fact that to get the console, a game and an extra controller, you're already over $700. A lot of money. But, waiting, the bugs are out of the console by then, games start going down in price, more games are out and possibly a good console bundle by then. I'll wait until into next year for it, sorry Sony. I'll have the system, but start dropping the prices in the games.
I do see that if the games sell at $70, that some where and somebody will try to go higher. Hey, everyone is money hungry, so why not!!!
Well, as a person who buys games physical, it's really hard to find them during this wonderful pandemic. Even Gamestop and Best Buy around me, have empty shelves around. Crash 4 is hard to find anywhere, and if someone does buy the one copy that a store got in, it seems that the store never gets any more copies. Well, maybe 2021 will be a little different and the games will start coming into the stores. Until then, and with some people afraid of the virus, more people are going to be buying digital instead. I bought a few games digital because I couldn't find them anywhere, and I hate buying through online stores.
Wow...who else thinks the $70 games won't stay at $70 for long? Guess I won't be getting either system at launch since my kids will come first, but hopefully down the road when the games go down in price.
Other than that, why are we having to pay a high price for an 'online only' game that also gets you to purchase more (and you know it won't be small fee transactions)? Hope this isn't going to be the way forward with the next consoles.
Would be a great strategy strength for Sony if they did this, imagine that it's only a little big more than the Switch, and less than the next X-box? Granted, that when the new consoles come out, the Switch will probably win for this holiday (due to more consoles made and a cheaper price), but, Sony and Microsoft will also be selling, and the PS4 could have a major price drop to compete. It's going to be interesting, considering that Black Friday is coming soon and the holiday rush. Will be neat to see what they do. Can sony sell the console for less, take a hit and win...absolutely. What they lose in console sales, they gain with Plus, Now and games.
I never bought one until I found it in a store for $10 brand new. The PS2, Gamecube and X-box were already into their first year during that time too. Never really cared much for it, just wanted the Spyro, Crash and the 40 winks games. Didn't even really get into the PS2. I became more true with sony with the PS3, which I got the Motorstorm bundle with it. PS4 became day one. Only other day one consoles I bought were the Gamecube, Wii and Genesis. Honestly, I don't really buy them on day one, I grow a library of games and try to get accessories and extra controllers first. That way, when I do get the console...I have plenty to do on it.
I was always wondering, as I'd love to dive into one of these games in the series, on if you HAVE to be online in order to play it? Can it be played offline and have a single player campaign, or does it always have to be online?...any of them?
I remember when we had so many companies making sports titles...Sega (what happened to their classics?). Sega had World Series Baseball, College Football, NFL, NHL and NBA. Nintendo used to have some and then we went on to other companies. I honestly wish Sony would create more sports franchise...their MLB The Show titles are amazing, and I could only imagine what they could do with some others...Football, Hockey, Tennis, Basketball and even others like Volleyball and more.
Demon's Tilt was a good pinball game on XBONE when I played it. May pick that one up. Kind of wanting to get back into Ty The Tasmanian Tiger, but the price is kind of high...same goes with Destroy All Humans, so may wait on those two as I still have a pretty good back log. Does anyone know if Ty actually got a physical release?
Eh, 9 out of 15...not too bad I guess. Shame I fell into the PS2 era late (sorry, went with the Gamecube during that era). Now, ask me about the PS3 or PS4 (the two I went with the next era) and I should be able to score higher!!!
I vote for PS5, as Ratchet and Clank, Horizon 2 and Sackboy had me hooked...plus, Sony will continue having the games I love, where Microsoft dumps them after a while (Blinx, Voodoo Vince, Viva Piñata, Conker, Whacked, Fusion Frenzy and more). I have the original 3 x-boxes (including the One) for some of their exclusives...yup, some were pretty decent, but I'm not into Gears or Halo. Excited for the next Fable, but who knows if it'll be a reality...there was to be a fable title for XBONE, and that got canned. I like the XBONE and play it, but the PS4 gets played more, and my PS3 was played more than the 360, so I'm more excited for the PS5...however, I'll end up having Microsoft's eventually, as long as exclusives continue for it. Up to now, what's the point if the games are coming to Next and XBONE at the same time for a while?
Gotta love prices increasing and decreasing throughout the years. I remember paying over $100 for a 2TB INTERNAL HD for my PS3 years ago, then I paid $80 for an 8TB External for my PS4...now, as I own an XBONE, I wanted to get another 8TB and the price is more high. Hopefully there will be some nice sales on them by the holidays, and I'll just grab 2 or 3 so I have extra for when I eventually get a PS5 and the next Xbox.
Honestly, I was awaiting this game, but now I'm seeing it be a cross-gen game if it does arrive. The thing is, I don't want to only play online, which is why I haven't touched Sea Of Thieves (granted I did play this one when I had Live and Gamepass for a few months free). Oh well, if it's online only, it won't be one for me...no point paying high costs for an online only title to where the servers can go down at any time...then you're stuck with something you can't play.
I still hope both are reasonable prices, especially the disc-ones. I'm not willing to pay $500 for a new console, and I'm sure others will feel the same, with the fact of what is going on throughout the world (wonderful COVID and job losses). Honestly, I still think they should wait on releases, but it's my opinion. I'm still hoping to purchase one eventually (Yup, I'll have Sony's first then Microsoft's), but again...depends on price. I'm just wondering on if the games are really going to cost $80, or if they'll still just cost $60? Until they announce prices, expect lots of rumors!!!!
I guess as long as the title is nice on the side for me. I hate the Switch library of just a plain red side with the title just typed...makes it hard to see the games when you have a large collection. I do honestly hope though, that they go with a different color scheme for the case. If blue was PS4, clear was PS3 and black was PS2, try a new one. I'd love to have them red (like the greatest hits series) or something different.
The next Horizon for me!!! Also, my next two picks...I guess I must be a platform junkie, because I honestly can't wait for the Sackboy game (love Little Big Planet) and the next Ratchet And Clank. Now...it's all coming down to when games are being released...which ones at launch and which ones the following year.
I see a very good price and bundle on the PS4 this holiday...especially for the black-friday. I'm still waiting to see the price on the PS5, and probably won't own it for a while (hey, kids come first), but I'm sure the PS4 will sell like crazy this holiday. Sony will own the holiday season again!!!!
Yes...I'd love to see some of their franchises make a nice return too. Buzz (with the buzzers, not phones), Sing Star (with the microphones, not phones), Twisted Metal, Jak And Daxter (or at least a nice collection with all including the PSP titles), Dark Cloud, Mark Of Kri, Patapon (a new one), Parappa The Rapper and...what I would really love to see...a brand new Loco Roco.
I still remember buying a game on the PS3 and it had an advertisement for a CHILD'S PLAY...play as Chucky game that was coming soon. This was back when the PS3 was only a year old. If Silent Hill wasn't cancelled, then it'll come later on. Other than that, I think before they release a new one, we'll get more remasters of the others. I'd go for a big collection of the 3 from the past (granted they just came out on PS3) and also include the other 2 from the PS3 generation. A nice big collection would be a welcome.
I think it looks pretty cool...would be really neat if they released skin covers in the form of possibly Ratchet and Clank (as it almost resembles something from it). Honestly, can't wait to see how it will stack onto my shelf next to the other consoles and probably the next X-box as well. Honestly, this console looks great an I also think Microsoft's looks pretty interesting too. Will be neat to see what Nintendo's next console will look like too, since we know that will be coming up next to keep them up with the currents.
My predictions are lost for me, I'll just wait and see. I'm pretty sure Horizon 2 will be shown. As for what I'd LIKE to see...how about a new Little Big Planet since it's been since the beginning of the PS4's lifestyle. And as what I'd like to see, as it's been a while...Twisted Metal, Sly Cooper, a new Parappa The Rapper, a return for Dark Cloud and possibly other IP's lost in the past (Legend Of Dragoon?)
In all honesty, it's the exclusive games by the companies that sell the consoles. Nintendo has been under power to the others for generations past, and they still sell their consoles...why...their IP's. Sony has amazing IP's too, which makes the consoles sell. The PS3 struggled for the first years due to the price being too high...the price lowered, the exclusives arrived...the console sold better (not sure if it beat the 360 though). Microsoft has struggled this generation, so it's going to take a lot of power for them to regain it back, and let's face it (as I own Microsoft's systems too), they don't seem to keep their IP's around for long with the exclusion of a few that have lasted through all their consoles. Price will only matter with us parents that go out and see the difference in price at retailers, but in all honesty, with what has happened in the world and the fact that a recession may happen, I think both companies would be crazy to ask for a large price. The high price on either system would give nintendo a better advantage during the holiday season. I know this won't happen, but Sony and Microsoft should possibly do a $300 launch system, cut the losses of the consoles, because they're make it back on their online stores, through games, accessories and of course their other perks. This price also keeps them at bay with Nintendo's (which I'm sure they're lower prices too for the holiday) but it's what Sony and Microsoft may have to do with the current state we're in...let's face it, it's not going to be better by the holiday with so many out of work and will be struggling to get better throughout the next many months.
I know that a lot of new IP's came out this generation, but it seems that during the PS3, there was a Ratchet and Clank title made each year. Honestly, what happened to the Little Big Planet series on PS4...part 3 was very short, but even a collection of the previous ones could have helped. But, what I'd love to see back...Twisted Metal, Syphon Filter, Socom, Motorstorm, Sly Cooper, Ape Escape, Dark Cloud and Jak And Daxter. There's probably other's that I could mention too, but I'd even go for some nice HD Remasters or Remakes too. This is also something that I thought was going to happen with all of the re-releases of old titles from not just Sony, but other companies too. I'd also love to see a new title in the Buzz series (not one that uses cellphones) and a new Sing Star (one that uses microphones too). Seems that the party genre is becoming a loss too.

Re: Opinion: Why 2023 Will Be PS5's Biggest and Best Year Yet
Re: MultiVersus (PS5) - A Worthy Super Smash Bros Rival with Much More to Come
@rjejr Don't say nobody has 2 DDR mats...I have two for the PS3 and also 2 for the Wii. Both are stored right now with other controllers that were only used for just one or two games. It's the Rock Revolution drum kit and the Guitar Hero Guitars that are taking up the most room, and the stupid Nintendo Labo Cardboard pieces.
Re: MultiVersus (PS5) - A Worthy Super Smash Bros Rival with Much More to Come
What would really be nice, is to see Sony bring back the Playstation All Stars Battle and do this kind of addition.
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (PS4) - Brilliant Beat-'Em-Up Is Best in Co-Op
@get2sammyb I also saw that there is a Cowabunga collection coming soon too. I'm just wondering if this game is part of it, or just sold separately to the ones being released on the collection.
Re: PS Plus Extra, PS Plus Premium Now Live Across the USA
Just out of curiosity, I've noticed that you can purchase some of the games on the store...if I bought one or two, would I be able to play them without joining the service?
Re: Video: Is KartRider: Drift PlayStation's Answer to Mario Kart?
Eh...bring back some good Sony titles again. Mod Nation Racers, Playstation All Stars Battle, Eye Pet for the VR, Sports Champions without move controls, TWISTED METAL. Sony has many IP's too and could do so much. Playstation Move Heroes was another. All Stars Battle could really become great again, just work on loading times. Little Big Planet Karts would also be a nice one to bring back!
Re: TT Games Founder Reckons Insomniac Games Misled Fans with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Re: PS5 SSD: How to Install an Internal SSD and Expand Your Storage
So I just have to ask, as I have a PS4 and have an 8TB external hard drive...here it is...I am one that likes to have a large retail game collection (I have over 80 for PS4) and I also download a lot on the consoles (I own over 500 downloaded games on the PS4 as well). Does this mean, that when I finally get a PS5 and do the same, that not only do I have to get an external hard drive, but I also have to get an internal too?
Re: Movie Review: Werewolves Within - A Fun Comedy Horror Lacking Some Bite
@Quintumply Thanks, I'll look into it. Honestly, never heard anything about it...not many movies released these last 14 months, only ever heard of a few children's ones and a few others. Hopefully, the film isn't that much of a let down like many others I've been seeing. Not sure if it's my age of 41 that I feel like the movie magic is gone in many films.
Re: Movie Review: Werewolves Within - A Fun Comedy Horror Lacking Some Bite
Dare I ask...where is the movie? Is it on Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, Amazon...where? It actually sounds like a cheesy horror-comedy that would be fun to watch.
As for the game, I was disappointed. It was the first game I got on the VR system, and I couldn't wait to play it...sadly, all I got to experience was sitting at the campfire looking around because no one else was playing and (since it had to be online only), the game itself couldn't find a single person to play with. It was a shame, but hopefully it could become a Couch-Co-Op game with online aspects too.
Re: Unfinished Atari Jaguar FMV Game American Hero Coming to Console
Re: Sony: Nurturing Creative Talent Is Not as Simple as Throwing Money At It
@Tharsman You forgot Lucky's Tale, Sunset Overdrive, State Of Decay, Rare Replay, Zoo Tycoon and two that returned from the 360 era...Disneyland Adventures and Rush. I'm with you, they had a few good first-party titles.
Re: PlayStation Home Trademark Renewal Has Fans Dreaming
Re: Nintendo Wii Exclusive Sonic Colors Could Be Lighting Up PS4
Would really be nice to have all 3 of the Wii's exclusive Sonic titles out on it. Sonic and The Secret Rings could come for the VR if even (although the speed could make some people sick...including myself). I'm good on re-playing the Sonic Colors game though, was pretty good on Wii.
Re: Layers of Fear Is Bringing Its Painterly Horrors to PSVR Later This Month
As I've never played this (or the sequel), I may pick it up for the VR, but that really depends on the price. I'd rather see the Silent Hill games move over to the VR.
Re: Soapbox: We Were Here, the Free PS4 Game No One Will Play with Me
This is why I like Couch-co-op games.
Re: UK Sales Charts: New Wave of PS5 Stock Gives Boosts to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon's Souls
Great to know. Eventually I'll pick up a PS5, until then, much to play on PS4 at the moment, and I'm loving Sackboy on the PS4. Not really knowing how much of a difference this game is on PS4 compared to PS5, but would definitely play it again on the PS5 eventually.
Re: PS Store Big in Japan Sale Has Some Seriously Great PS4 Bargains
Too many sales recently. I find myself buying too much to play eventually, but it's nice to have all the games go on sale and build up the library...just trying to find the time to play is a different story!!!
Re: PS5 Stock Shortage Has UK Politicians Pushing for Online Bot Ban
Re: Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Update Adds Sonic the Hedgehog and Much More
Can't wait to get this one, as I've played the first constantly. I'm just not sure if I want to purchase for the PS4 (where I can play it now) or just get it on PS5 for when I actually purchase the system (for a game on day one to have for when I do get the PS5). Decisions!!!!
Re: Soapbox: The Conversation About Games Moves Too Quickly
Re: Immortals Fenyx Rising (PS5) - Formulaic Fun Takes Ancient Greece by Storm
Looks more like a cross between Horizon...Zelda and Kid Icarus.
Looks kind of fun and engaging. When I finally purchase a PS5, this might be something I'll look into later...by that time, it will be down in price too.
Re: Upcoming PS5 and PS4 Games for December 2020 and January 2021
Any other older players like myself, actually curious about the Space Invaders game?
Anyways, looking forward to Space Invaders and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for myself, possibly some others on the list, but really trying to play backlog catch up and saving up for the PS5 after the holidays. Possibly, will get Puyo 2 on the PS5 for in the future.
Re: Soapbox: PS5 Is Pushing Me Ever Closer to All-Digital
Re: 10 Things PS5 Needs to Improve
Re: 10 Things to Do First with Your New PS5
Guess I'll be learning some things for when I eventually get the console...possibly some time next year...until then, I'll stock up on a few games for it, an extra controller and a new external for it. Hey, at least when I get it, I'll have some things to do on it!!!
Re: Sackboy: A Big Adventure (PS5) - Lovely Launch Game Is LittleBigBrilliant
@get2sammyb Isn't this game also available on the Playstation 4?
Re: Sony Considered Raising PS5 Game Prices Beyond $70, Says New Report
Re: UK Sales Charts: FIFA 21 Physical Sales Suffer Unsurprising Decline
Well, as a person who buys games physical, it's really hard to find them during this wonderful pandemic. Even Gamestop and Best Buy around me, have empty shelves around. Crash 4 is hard to find anywhere, and if someone does buy the one copy that a store got in, it seems that the store never gets any more copies. Well, maybe 2021 will be a little different and the games will start coming into the stores. Until then, and with some people afraid of the virus, more people are going to be buying digital instead. I bought a few games digital because I couldn't find them anywhere, and I hate buying through online stores.
Re: Destruction AllStars on PS5 Finally Detailed, But No Gameplay Trailer
Wow...who else thinks the $70 games won't stay at $70 for long? Guess I won't be getting either system at launch since my kids will come first, but hopefully down the road when the games go down in price.
Other than that, why are we having to pay a high price for an 'online only' game that also gets you to purchase more (and you know it won't be small fee transactions)? Hope this isn't going to be the way forward with the next consoles.
Re: PS5 Price May Dip Below $400, Analyst Speculates
Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PlayStation at Launch 25 Years Ago?
Re: Project CARS 3 - A Somewhat Fun Arcade Racer Going Through an Identity Crisis
I was always wondering, as I'd love to dive into one of these games in the series, on if you HAVE to be online in order to play it? Can it be played offline and have a single player campaign, or does it always have to be online?...any of them?
Re: 2K Sports' New NFL Game to Touchdown on PS5 in 2021
I remember when we had so many companies making sports titles...Sega (what happened to their classics?).
Re: Guide: New PS4 Games This Week (27th July to 2nd August)
Demon's Tilt was a good pinball game on XBONE when I played it. May pick that one up. Kind of wanting to get back into Ty The Tasmanian Tiger, but the price is kind of high...same goes with Destroy All Humans, so may wait on those two as I still have a pretty good back log. Does anyone know if Ty actually got a physical release?
Re: Can You Name These PS2 Games?
Eh, 9 out of 15...not too bad I guess. Shame I fell into the PS2 era late (sorry, went with the Gamecube during that era). Now, ask me about the PS3 or PS4 (the two I went with the next era) and I should be able to score higher!!!
Re: Poll: Did PS5 or Xbox Series X Have the Better Next-Gen Showcase?
Re: Best PS5 and PS4 External Hard Drives
Gotta love prices increasing and decreasing throughout the years. I remember paying over $100 for a 2TB INTERNAL HD for my PS3 years ago, then I paid $80 for an 8TB External for my PS4...now, as I own an XBONE, I wanted to get another 8TB and the price is more high. Hopefully there will be some nice sales on them by the holidays, and I'll just grab 2 or 3 so I have extra for when I eventually get a PS5 and the next Xbox.
Re: Skull & Bones Reportedly Rebooted Into an Ongoing 'Live' Game
Honestly, I was awaiting this game, but now I'm seeing it be a cross-gen game if it does arrive. The thing is, I don't want to only play online, which is why I haven't touched Sea Of Thieves (granted I did play this one when I had Live and Gamepass for a few months free). Oh well, if it's online only, it won't be one for me...no point paying high costs for an online only title to where the servers can go down at any time...then you're stuck with something you can't play.
Re: PS5 Fans Thought They Were Getting a Price and Release Date Yesterday
Re: Ubisoft Execs Resign Following Sexual Harrasment Allegations
Wow...when will the Terminators take over this world?
Re: Here's Your First Look at Official PS5 Game Box Art
I guess as long as the title is nice on the side for me. I hate the Switch library of just a plain red side with the title just typed...makes it hard to see the games when you have a large collection. I do honestly hope though, that they go with a different color scheme for the case. If blue was PS4, clear was PS3 and black was PS2, try a new one. I'd love to have them red (like the greatest hits series) or something different.
Re: Poll: What New PS5 Games Are You Most Excited About?
The next Horizon for me!!! Also, my next two picks...I guess I must be a platform junkie, because I honestly can't wait for the Sackboy game (love Little Big Planet) and the next Ratchet And Clank. Now...it's all coming down to when games are being released...which ones at launch and which ones the following year.
Re: Police Called to Lidl in France After Insane PS4 Deal Draws Huge Crowds
I see a very good price and bundle on the PS4 this holiday...especially for the black-friday. I'm still waiting to see the price on the PS5, and probably won't own it for a while (hey, kids come first), but I'm sure the PS4 will sell like crazy this holiday. Sony will own the holiday season again!!!!
Re: On PS5, Exclusive Games Will Be More Important than Ever Before, Says Sony
Yes...I'd love to see some of their franchises make a nice return too. Buzz (with the buzzers, not phones), Sing Star (with the microphones, not phones), Twisted Metal, Jak And Daxter (or at least a nice collection with all including the PSP titles), Dark Cloud, Mark Of Kri, Patapon (a new one), Parappa The Rapper and...what I would really love to see...a brand new Loco Roco.
Re: What Happened to Silent Hill's Rumoured PS5 Reveal?
I still remember buying a game on the PS3 and it had an advertisement for a CHILD'S PLAY...play as Chucky game that was coming soon. This was back when the PS3 was only a year old. If Silent Hill wasn't cancelled, then it'll come later on. Other than that, I think before they release a new one, we'll get more remasters of the others. I'd go for a big collection of the 3 from the past (granted they just came out on PS3) and also include the other 2 from the PS3 generation. A nice big collection would be a welcome.
Re: PS5 Console Revealed, Standard and Digital Only Edition
I think it looks pretty cool...would be really neat if they released skin covers in the form of possibly Ratchet and Clank (as it almost resembles something from it). Honestly, can't wait to see how it will stack onto my shelf next to the other consoles and probably the next X-box as well. Honestly, this console looks great an I also think Microsoft's looks pretty interesting too. Will be neat to see what Nintendo's next console will look like too, since we know that will be coming up next to keep them up with the currents.
Re: Feature: Our PS5 Reveal Event Predictions, Hopes, and Dreams
My predictions are lost for me, I'll just wait and see. I'm pretty sure Horizon 2 will be shown. As for what I'd LIKE to see...how about a new Little Big Planet since it's been since the beginning of the PS4's lifestyle. And as what I'd like to see, as it's been a while...Twisted Metal, Sly Cooper, a new Parappa The Rapper, a return for Dark Cloud and possibly other IP's lost in the past (Legend Of Dragoon?)
Re: PS5's Price Could Be Undercut by Xbox Series X, Analysts Suggest
Re: Talking Point: What PlayStation Franchises Should Sony Bring Back on PS5?
