Re: Talking Point: Do We Really Need So Much Gunplay in Games?

You can't beat a dog for wagging his tail.

......or shooters gonna shoot. Bioshock really only suffered because it did too good of a job in the beginning. It's hard to mantain "new car smell" magic for 15 hours straight, especially in a FPS.

So like every game in the genre the ramp up the difficulty and intensity toward the end. Otherwise gamers would be complaining it was too easy, longwinded, or pretentious.

Game of the Year for me so far. I can't remember ever feeling a such an overwhelming sense of wonder and awe like I did in the first few hours of the game.

I finished this days ago I still can't stop thinking about it.

Anyone who hasn't played Telltale's - The Walking Dead NEEDS TO PLAY THIS GAME NOW!. Whether you watch the show, read the comic, or not. Brilliant game.

As far as Activision's TWD : Survival Instinct.......the game looks like hot garbage. Here we are on release day and you can't find one review or any hype whatsoever. It's like Activision is trying to delay as long as possible word leaking out about how bad it is so they can milk impulse buyers.

"Dayyyyummmm!!!!!"
"Woooooooah!"
"Holy s***!!!!!"

These are all things I yelled while jumping out of my seat playing this game. Cinematic isn't even a strong enough word for the things they do with the camera.......its just masterful.
