The EA Sports bundle is crazy considering. I know there's only a few months (September?) until the annual refresh - but I can't really see them breaking the mould in terms of features the year before next gen.
From ArsTechnicha: "This is the hipster microbrew of the console world, mixing in weird gaming flavors and unique controller ingredients that the Sony/Budweisers and Nintendo/Millers of the world can't."
Because they want you to think that Sony and Nintendo(!!!) don't innovate...
@sanderson72 Their high end Xperias and iPhones are the only handsets with Remote Play support at the moment.
With 5G that could be pushed further - even though 4G is more than sufficient.
Making it more of a selling point will really have to involve network carriers quite heavily. For example, I use EE 4G, which is very good; stable, incredibly fast and pretty cheap. But the NAT type of the EE network doesn't support fixed IPs - making Remote Play impossible over 4G.
A far reaching, persistent RPG with time travel mechanics could be incredible. Unfortunately it would be expensive to produce, and the BBC just isn't about that.
It would really suit something like the old LucasArts point & click stuff too.
But no, a short, limited VR waggle game with a couple of jump scares.
I think the closest anything has come to being a good Doctor Who game was Lego Dimensions! (and that's more of a little fan service love letter).
"Would you like to embrace the streaming future and play a PS5 title as soon as it becomes available, without any prior download? Share your thoughts in the comments below."
In a word: No.
I'm fine with it being an option - but I'm still pretty unconvinced that the majority of potential users have sufficient internet access for it to work.
I have a pretty solid, average-high speed connection in the UK - wired, and PS Now was only ever 'OK'.
@Quintumply @ShogunRok Given the dips in framerate you've experienced (I'm assuming in single player/online) - how does the local co-op experience fare?
This game still seems like such a waste of Sumo's talent and a great bunch of IPs.
I find the team racing aspect certainly more interesting now than when it was announced - but I'd still prefer it to be in a sequel to Transformed and with that (and possibly expanded) roster.
It's launching at £30 (£35 with Nintendo tax) - so hopefully that will help it get some sales and inspire future content.
@Dellybelly It's Sony. VBlank is on point. As I say, other region PS Stores have it listed, other platforms have it listed and the limited Physical release has long sold out. PS Blog had it slated for this week too.
@Dellybelly They can throw up a pre-order instantly for this, yet Shakedown Hawaii - that has already been released in every other region STILL isn't there!
@Rob_230 of course!
@get2sammyb It looks like MediEvil. MediEvil wasn't very good but well liked enough. Keep the hype-train rolling though - I'm holding our for a Nightmare Creatures remake!
The Airblades are indeed AG versions of an existing team car. The handling isn't too massive a departure from the standard cars and feels in keeping with the game.
If I were to characterise it, I'd say that the Airblade handling feels how I imagine Star Wars land speeders might. It's not WipEout (or trying to be), and having read the press release saying that they were aiming for a middle ground between WipEout and Rollcage, I'd say they nailed it.
It is good. Your mileage may vary depending on your nostalgia for 90's futuristic racers - Rollcage specifically; but even beyond that, it's a really nicely put together game and the dev's are still supporting it.
Well worth the price on release and even better value now!
@Frigate To some extent certainly, where entertainment is concerned. But I really don't think a Sonic movie is born of anyone's 'artistic vision' on any level. It's born of desire to profit.
@Frigate I think them being willing to make the change suggests that the 'vision' is governed by $$$ and design by committee rather than anyone really giving a crap.
As many others on the interwebs have said - why did it need a fan-backlash? How did the design get this far without such criticism internally, or even common sense enough of what the gaming fan-base in general can be like when it comes to such an iconic character?
Glad they're considering a redesign though. Hoefully they hadn't already finished a 'Crack-Fox' (look it up, Mighty Boosh) version of Tails!
Epic will no doubt try to get more cash flow from Rocket League - but so did Psyonix, and mostly for just cosmetic stuff that didn't change the actual game.
I wouldn't say that Rocket League has run its course, but I haven't played or thought about it in a while. Could give the player base a boom.
@AdamNovice I know, just saying, they had a very strong April and not that great a line up. Whereas on the whole, people weren't all that thrilled with PS+ April line up either.
Reuse the assets and create a single player game with some traditional mp modes; free update for current owners, sell as a new experience plus the standard GAS part for everyone else.
@Quintumply If there was any doubt that you guys weren't fully committed to the authentic snack experience: "...and if you slam the crisp down at the wrong time, it'll snap, ruining it."
I expect a biscuit dunking follow up - including a mad dash for a spoon following a too ballsy dalliance with a Rich Tea! 😂
@ShogunRok No worries. Your edit is better than my suggestion anyway!
And seconding @MonkeyDLuffy19's comment. Saw the trailer promoted on my YouTube feed but skipped it. And I also still(!) have finished TWAU - I could get that done between Jumps or long supercruises Elite: Dangerous or something?? Because I would absolutely take my Vita to space!

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Is Real, Crosses Streams with PS4 in 2019
@mechamania As I recall, the PSP (PS2, Wii) version is a different game.
Re: Marvel's Avengers Will Have Both Single Player and Co-Op Gameplay
@REVENGEFAN That's a really crappy game though. TMNT is still pretty good 😁
Re: Marvel's Avengers Will Have Both Single Player and Co-Op Gameplay
TMNT arcade game clone *fingers crossed
Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Is Real, Crosses Streams with PS4 in 2019
@JLPick
This is almost certainly just a cash-grab up-res job. So no VR.
Great game without though.
I am hoping that I can swipe up on the touchpad to lay a trap down.
Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Is Real, Crosses Streams with PS4 in 2019
@get2sammyb Same. Might even try for that ridiculous trophy for completing the game with under $100,000.00 property damage
Or at least, make the most of the multiplayer this time!
Re: PS Plus June 2019 PS4 Games Announced
Decent line up. Already have Sonic Mania and no interest in Bored-erlands.
Re: Marvel's Avengers Will Finally Be Revealed During Square Enix's E3 2019 Show
@Rob_230 Sir Rog would forgive you.

It's for hipsters. Y'know, the types who were using beard oil and bamboo framed bicycles 8 years ago

That's a lot of money for a lot of 'meh'.
This is what happens when hipsters get to design things.
Re: Talking Point: What Free June 2019 PS Plus Games Do You Want?
Some of the Games Workshop licensed stuff would be nice.
The newer version of Space Hulk or Deathwing. 40k Inquisitor: Martyr even.

There's so much there to tap in to.

Re: Pilot the TARDIS in Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, Coming to PSVR in 2019
I'd put a tenner on this being crap.
I love Doctor Who - but it really does need a deep-dive RPG to make a decent game.
Waggling a Move controller about to 'solve puzzles' will be just as bad as anything in The Eternity Clock.

I would absolutely buy and play through a remaster of this.
Great game with an excellent story!

Re: GRIP Adds WipEout-Like Anti-Grav Vehicles with Latest Update
Also, fair to point out - Grip is £12.99 on PSN right now!
Contrast that with that awful Xenon game, which still sits at a ridiculous £47.99!!
Re: GRIP Adds WipEout-Like Anti-Grav Vehicles with Latest Update
Sweet!
I must admit, I haven't played it in a while. Great game though.
The new AG's look to be wheel-less versions of the existing cars - with fairly similar looking handling to the cars (as opposed to WipEout ships).
Nice - I may have tonight free to play and could probably do with a break from playing Elite.
@LiamCroft any idea how big the patch is?
Re: CD Projekt Red Opens Merch Store, Japanese-Themed Witcher Figure Is Ridiculously Cool

@belmont And anyone eyeing the Vita Persona 3/5 Dancing games.
There's a bundle for both games and a costume pack for £30!

Re: Rumour: May 2019's PS Plus Games Possibly Leaked by PS4 Menu Screenshot
@AdamNovice Xbox's April games were pretty solid though.
Re: Big in Japan Sale Leads New Wave of Deals on EU PlayStation Store
That is an absolutely mammoth sale!
Weighing up KOF '97, Samurai Showdown V Special and Windjammers as they all come with Vita versions.
Bomberman R and Sonic Forces are probably worth a tenner each too...

Re: The First Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Trailer Is Here at Last
Worst Sonic games: The ones with people.
"Let's make a film with people!"
It could look worse. Unfortunately, as with most Sonic output these days - it looks crap next to its competitors. In this case, Detective Pikachu.
Re: Days Gone's Physical Launch the Largest of the Year in UK
Mental really. This game hasn't been on my radar at all.
'Daryl the game' really just doesn't appeal.
As others have said though, good for Bend.

PS5 won't be a thing for me unless/until the 4 dies.
