Great news, Astrobot was absolutely fantastic. Sort of like The Witcher 3, by which I mean it really spoils you by how much it raises the bar.

What are your thoughts on re-reviewing games?
I imagine when this game arrives on ps+ next week that empty lobbies should no longer be an issue and as I understand it, the game received numerous patches giving quality of life improvements since it's arrival.

So assuming an influx of new players doesn't overburden the servers and everything goes smoothly, it might make for quite a different experience now.

Yes, agreed, a brilliant soundtrack. I loved the soundtrack for Pyre as well, so good, I purchased the music for both separately from their website. Adds so much to the experience. Really looking forward to their next game.

Unexpected, I thought this was selling far too well to ever be on ps+. Maybe it's to prepare people for next gen Bandicoot?

Sounds right up my street, bit of a backlog though at the moment so... one to look forward to.

We did get 5 LBP games to be fair if you include the PSP & vita. It was a good run.

As amazing as a Legacy of Kain remake sounds, I believe it's owned by Square Enix. So it seems unlikely.

Very exciting if true, would be brilliant to play a remade Demon's Souls as a launch game for PS5. Not too long until we find out I'm guessing.

I enjoy Kingdom Hearts but I'm not a fan of the overarching story being so needlessly convoluted.
And they go on a bit too much sometimes about Hearts, shadows and light, etc. One of those situations where someone can talk for an hour without actually saying anything.
Hope they improve on that when KH4 comes out in 10 years.

Housemarque are awesome, looking forward to seeing what they show. A shame about Stormdivers, hopefully they can use some of the work on that and it's not wasted.

I am properly stuck into Valkyrie Chronicles 4 at the moment, loving it. Also had a go on Blood & Truth, it's good, but it's no Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

That's true, there aren't many games based in a historical setting on consoles. Apart from the big hitter, Red Dead Redemption and your FPS WW1 / WW2 games there's not much competition for AC.

My personal favourite is Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, really fun and clever little game.

The copy & paste issue isn't a total deal breaker on it's own, but coupled with such uninteresting narratives and poorly written characters.. there are plenty of far more interesting games worth my time.

I understand the strategy, big names will sell huge numbers regardless of the quality up to a point. You get that in the music and movie industry as well. So minimum effort, maximum profit.
Nice to see they've admitted there's a problem, that's the first step.

Some of the games created in LBP2 & 3 that were given awards by MM were incredible, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing the brilliance on offer this time round.

Poor bloke, they should have let him finish the round. Just think of his poor team mates being left on their own mid match. Brutal.

So this will be relatively close to the PS5 launch then.. as excited as I am to play this, waiting on a suped up next gen version seems like an option well worth considering now!

Knowing Cage, a few of those surprises will be something altogether creepy and massively inappropriate.

Heh, I had a similar reaction when I saw how many hours I'd put into Apex Legends. These games have so many addictive qualities. Same as you, I enjoyed it but glad to be putting my time into other games and other hobbies now. Always good to switch things up a bit, keep things interestng.

It's going to be a very strong year for video games, I'm going to have a hard time chosing which games to play!
Nice list, Disco Elysium sounds rather special.

E3 is overrated. They became greedy, so it's no surprise Sony found smarter, better ways to do business.

In my mind if it releases on both new and old hardware, then it's not a next gen game.
If current hardware is perfectly capable of running it then I'll be assuming it's not making much use of the new tech that's been made available.

I think most people, when they buy a new console would be excited to play a game that really shows what the new kit can do. Otherwise it would be rather anticlimactic.

Impressive work as always, looks like a really nice level of polish.

Looking forward to the review, seems to have potential.

Gunlord X came out just under a month ago on PSN. Looks like a love letter to Turrican more than anything, might be worth a look if you're currently deciding on what to review next. I get the impression it's meant to be decent.

Great stuff, thanks Jamie. I did read a review on this game a few months back. I was tempted but the relative shortness of it, the potentially low playing time put me off a bit. But you've persuaded me I really do need to play this.
Definitely getting it the next time it's on sale.

That's a strong list, I'm a little surprised by the omission of some titles such as the awesome Uncharted 4 or Bloodborne but I appreciate you're trying to represent as many genres as possible here.

The level of quality in this game really is incredible. A huge game, I completed every mission and all the dlc and was sad when I'd played all of it. I look forward to playing through all it again.

Rotten tomatoes currently shows 67% from critics and 88% from the audience. Not bad!

I gave this game a few goes and I'd rate it as a 4/10. It's just poor on so many levels, Apex Legends is far better if battle royale is your thing.

But it certainly has had quite an impact, no question about that. The fact it's been in the news so many times is testament to that. The real horror story here though is how badly the staff are treated on the development team, like they're subhuman.

Assuming the voice acting is decent, and it should be, I'll always stick to English. I'd enjoy that more than reading subtitles. If I want to read, then I'll pick up a book.

I've not heard of these artists before but I'm optimistic there will be a lot of good stuff in there.
