@MrMeeeseeeks Except I did play it, in a play test. If I didn't have fun then, why would I shell out the cash in a gamble for fun on the finished product? Granted, I don't go around disparaging the game. But everyone complaining about how the game cannot receive fair criticism is extremely suspect.
@videoman190 Game Rant seemed to confirm custom character creation. But I'm not sure where or if that was confirmed by Team Ninja. Wikipedia also states "Rise of the Rōnin allows players to create a custom character."
@GamingFan4Lyf That would be the best case scenario in my opinion. Max Payne definitely needs a little more love. But who knows, it doesn't sound too farfetched. I also feel like you normally see these remasters and remakes in conjunction with an upcoming new title in the series.
I really need to finish Control though. At the very least I owe it to my mom, because I figured out recently that the main protagonist in Control was a prominent character on her soap opera.
@Pixipantalon I did hear about the perspective switch during development, which is still mind boggling to me. It may be an unpopular opinion, but nothing about CP2077 screams first person to me. It's so much less immersive and more restrictive not being able to see the world around my customized character, not having cutscenes with my character in them, etc. SPOILERS: I was floored when I saw the only real cutscene in the entire game before the end credits. It looked so awesome.
Absolutely agreed on everything else. I can't imagine why it wasn't an option to switch between perspectives, or even just force first person perspective for conversations like Fallout or Starfield.
Here's to hoping that with the new engine and all the newfound knowledge CDPR has, they'll be able to provide more features like third person mode in the sequel.
@Pixipantalon My thoughts exactly. I've no interest in starting over after the hundred or so hours I put in doing most everything in the game. But with third person mode, I'd start a fresh game faster than lightning. Hopefully the sequel does have it.
@Deadhunter Agreed. The original title was supposed to have been Gods and Monsters, which is infinitely better, and may have increased sales. For anyone who doesn't know, it was changed due to a trademark dispute with Monster Energy.
I think there may have been attempts at this, but I personally have not seen a full on fighting game RPG before. Shenmue does come to mind. Either way, I'm super looking forward to this, mostly as a fighting RPG single player experience. The demo showed great things with the option to expand upon that further.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Patch 1.050 Adds Graphics Options, Gameplay Improvements on PS5
Turned off RT, motion blur, and kept variable frame rate and I saw a huge boost in FPS, at least in Battahl (on PS5).

Re: Wake Meets Sam Lake in Surreal IGN First Alan Wake 2 Gameplay Clip
Oh no way. Didn't know all that. Courtney Hope has definitely got some street cred then. Even in the soap opera game (The Young and the Restless).
As Beth Wilder, is she just an actress Remedy likes to use and has no wider connection in the Remedyverse?
Looking forward to finishing Control.

@Petto Further down the rabbit hole we go.
Re: Wake Meets Sam Lake in Surreal IGN First Alan Wake 2 Gameplay Clip
@GamingFan4Lyf Oohh, that makes sense now. I kept thinking, why not just make the character Max Payne? We're 99% of the way there already.
Re: Wake Meets Sam Lake in Surreal IGN First Alan Wake 2 Gameplay Clip
Isn't that James McCaffrey speaking as well? Who voices Max Payne?
