Re: Leaked PS Plus Lineup Looks Too Good to Be True

@Bliquid git gud has absolutely nothing to do with what I said. The dungeon design sucks. Corridors and square empty rooms again and again and again. Elevators taking you upwards to a locale that cannot be there geographically. Zombies, skeletons, zombies, hollows, zombies, knights, zombies, hollows.

Re: Leaked PS Plus Lineup Looks Too Good to Be True

Nikolaidas

@Bliquid no. It's not. It's just good. It has the least interesting bestiary, the most non-sensible dungeon design and a few pretty lousy hitboxes when compared to other Souls games. It's not terrible (it's far better than lords of the fallen) but it's certainly not awesome.

Re: Review: Monster Hunter: World (PS4)

@FoxyGlen my main concern was that if you had to be always online, the game immediately has an expiration date tied to its servers' longevity (ala destiny). Glad to know this isn't the case.

(to himself) You promised, you promised, no more day one buys. Wait for GOTY editions, deals, discounts ... it ain't worth it. It ain't worth to shove 60-100 bucks for something which will eventually cost 5-20$. You promised. You promised, you pro -

(looks at Spider man logo) FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Re: Retrace the Steps Leading to EA's Star Wars Loot Box Scandal

Nikolaidas

My worst fear is that all games will become 'free to play' but you'll have to pay a small amount for every single thing.

Imagine a God of War game where the first stage is free, but the next stage costs 5 bucks, the next power-up or item costs 50 cents, and the like. It's not gambling, because you get what you pay for, but in the end you have to fork out 300 bucks to beat a game you used to pay 40-60 bucks for.

This is a bleak future that will be all the more possible if loot boxes will become obsolete. Because when a company makes X dollars a year, it wants to make X+1 dollars a year, how-to-do-it reason be damned.

Re: Belgium Reckons Loot Boxes Are Gambling, Wants Them Banned in Europe

Nikolaidas

@Tasuki "Lol no I don't hae shares in Activision and yes I am a parent but it doesn't worry me. Why, because I taught my son about the risk of them and the value of money. It's just like dugs and alcohol or anything else that's bad, you teach the kid the negatives and hope that they make the right choices. Having government coming in and taking that away from us is never a good thing and that's what everyone is asking. At what point do we the parents stop being parents and the government becomes society's parents? All because people don't want to be parents themselves?"

... Did you just say that if you raise your child's awareness (the rights and wrongs) the governments shouldn't monitor and/or prohibit potentially harmful and addictive substances or practices like drugs, alcohol and gambling?

Re: God of War's Kratos Would Rather Punch Loot Boxes in the Face

Nikolaidas

@KratosMD But you're describing a logical and healthy way for a business to work. It's not always this. For example, did EA bother to understand why Andromeda sucked? Did they realize the problem was that they rushed the clap out the game? Or did they simply say "Well, it sold like a$$, so let's put the franchise on indefinite hiatus until people start begging for a reboot"?

Did they care about why Dead Space 3 'failed'? Did they realize why Dead Space 3 disappointed? Or did they refuse to bother once they saw sales didn't meet expectations and put the franchise on a bus?

Re: You'll Play as MJ Watson in Spider-Man on PS4

Nikolaidas

@adf86 Yeah, but in a non-canon Spider-Man series. She even became Venom in two issues. They also have a daughter in that series and Norman Osborn (the grandson) is the big bad.

At least up to a few months ago. I'm not currently reading comics for the past 2-3 months.
