@doctommaso The psvr is an older tech - the Quest 2 has no motion sickness as the refresh rate, clarity, graphics and responsiveness are now so high. The psvr2 should be even better. So discussion of motion sickness in a 2021/22 article is more akin to asking why a comment about cleaning the dirt out of a mouse ball wasn’t included in a review of a Razor gaming mouse.
@NEStalgia Mine costs me £300 a month on a lease scheme, including insurance, tax, servicing and repairs. The electric to charge it costs me around £10 a week.
My previous 6 year old Fiesta cost me £40 a week in diesel, £45 a month in insurance, plus MOT, servicing etc - so I'm paying around £20 a month more for a brand new very nice electric vehicle.
I guess they originally planned to make a higher res rerelease type version of it - then realised a lot of people were expecting a Demon_Soulsesque graphical style remake, and went "Guys... we should probably rethink this..."
Lots of reviews on Youtube including IGN - who all seem to say its great. I'm very surprised - was convinced it was going to be another terrible indie game. Pleasantly surprised, will grab it later. And at the price it is, might even get the Deluxe version!
Played it for a few hours today, never played one before - seemed a very sold RPG, reminded me of FF or Dragon Quest. Nice graphics, and decent maps. An all round fun 3rd person action RPG. Despite crashing a number of times…
5gig? Is this the actual game? Is it really one of those conceptual endurance tests where only the most dedicated and hardcore gamers put up with all the apparent “bugs” and “delays”, and which we eventually realise only those who battle through the “problems” and don’t Abandon the whole concept are those who succeed and get the rare platinum trophy at the end?
Presumably in 3 months after lots of “we’re working on it” updates they announce the project is now abandoned and we discover it was all the build up to a terrible pun
I can’t do “rogue type” games - presuming this means you have play until you die and lose all progress and have to start again each time. It’s too frustrating and just makes me annoyed. But it’s great to see popular indie games from studios like this
Blimey people - slide off the top, stick the drive in, turn the screw, pop the lid back on - which part are you struggling with? For those comparing it to the “complexity” of a pc upgrade - do you realise that upgrading a graphic card consists of “remove one screw, pull the old card out, push the new one in, retighten one screw”? None of this stuff is difficult or complicated. At all.
Haven’t played this before, despite buying it in a sale she’s ago - installed it on the PS5 last night and it’s stunningly good looking on my OLED C1, and fantastically smooth. Huge thanks to the folks who pushed this update out - I’ve been playing it all day!
Agreed with most here about how HDR was either too dark or just couldn’t tell if it was on, on my mid range HdR TV.
Just bought an LG C1… omg… the difference is astonishing. The hdr is stunning on all these games. I thought hdr was a bit of a crap marketing gimmick but I was wrong. It just makes everything feel more real and immersive.
Bought this on an impulse without knowing anything about it, besides third person fantasy - and am loving it. I saw some bad reviews online but if you take it as a cheap (£30) button mash dungeon crawler then its great. Really nice graphics on ps5, very smooth, and feels similar to God of War in terms of combat. Only played solo so far, the elf and the dwarf - very different styles of play, one fast and stabby, one slow and hammer smashy- both enjoyable. Not overly challenge, but after a day at work it’s a welcome brain reset game.
Whilst I love (love) actual F1, and enjoy various racing games on PS5, I’ve struggled massively to play the codemasters F1 games with a controller. GT Sports motion control with the PS controller is fantastic, but codemasters haven’t enabled this in F1 2019 or 2020, and a decent steering wheel is hard to hide from the missus. Even casual mode is a struggle (for me) - and I’ve no idea why! Hopefully 2021 will be an improvement.
The new story mode sounds like they are taking a leaf from the Drive to Survive series’s success - which could be a good thing if done well.
Reduced to £44 from £59 by Amazon uk already, on release day - word has spread. Watched a live feed of this last night - 10 minutes of a creature pretending to be Elvis in baby language - as you spoke to them, was like Telly Tubbies. At one point the streamer was so bored they were on their phone and didn’t notice the dialogue had ended. Such a shame, as was massively looking forward to this.
I’d like the one that doesn’t develop the massive drift after 3 months, that you can only get repaired if you don’t mind holding on an overseas phone call for an hour only to be told you have to pay for postage there and back again and wait 3 - 4 weeks minimum. During which you cant use the console - the one you had to sacrifice a goat just to be lucky enough to find in the first place, and for which you paid £70 just to play one game - which you can’t, because the controller developed a massive drift after 3 months…
So... what are the chances that Sony will add the entire PS Vita etc games list to a new "Sony Pass", silencing the critics of both the store closure and the Xbox Pass in one go?
I don’t understand why this matters -or how it effects you in anyway. They run businesses, they sell their product any way they want to. And if you want to buy an Xbox and pay the pass fee then you can do so too, go for it - or you can pay the PS fee and play it here. What does it matter to you? I presume because some instinct is yelling “it’s not fair! I bought this console and they didn’t!” But no one is banning you from playing the game - nothing has changed for you. And if you feel so entitled to be the only ones who can play this game for some bizarre reason and want to really complain, don’t buy it! Of course then you won’t actually play it at all which seems to defeat the objective somewhat. Btw, over on the Xbox side they are crying because Forza was put on Steam and on the Nintendo side they are shouting because MH Rise is coming to PC. The whole thing is ludicrous.
@PaperAlien As I said, at the time of commenting, the uk web store didn’t have the offers (which they had linked in the article). It does now. Maybe reading is a skill you need to work on, rather than making ***** comments.

Re: Soapbox: PS5's Next-Gen PSVR Headset Is Going to Drop Jaws in 2022
The Quest 2 is incredible with outstanding graphics - so if the psvr2 can improve upon this and use the power of the ps5, it should be awesome.

And yes, I love 90s video games.

Awesome, gives me something to do other than watching Elves on Netflix whilst waiting for the SC to become available.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Dances Into the Bestsellers
Loving GoTG on PS5 - plays really well, no issues at all, and looks beautiful even on performance mode. Very funny - totally in tune with the movies.
