The first is still my favorite, even if i recognize that later ones are better objectively. I just get the feeling that we'll be going to planets with different layouts, which IMO isn't a good thing.
Don't worry @get2sammyb, I got the thin ice reference. Just in case you were thinking it was too obscure Anyway, I don't mind, since I bought it second-hand last time. ND never got my money, so I can give them it this time while still not supporting endless re-releases because i didn't buy it new the first time!
The touchpad usage just sounds like a replacement for the SELECT button. Unless you can drag to select things (which would be slower than the DPad anyway), I don't see how this is a 'feature'.
I actually don't want any more DLC for TLoU now. I'm happy to buy it again, but any more SP DLC will feel like a stretch, and MP DLC packs will make the online userbase stretched once more like the PS3 version.
I guess, since the perks and weapons aren't included in Remastered solus, I could probably stomach some more of those... I guess. And more hats.
The few in-gameplay clips actually look better than the cutscenes. Although it could just be that the cutscenes have a little fuzz added to them intentionally.
Low-budget didn't seem like a particularly stinging insult, @get2sammyb... you did realize from watching the trailer that it's definitely not low-budget anymore?
As a massive fan of this project... f*** off Comcept. No one asked for an animated series for a game that hasn't even had the chance to prove itself yet, and $4 mil is bordering on ridiculous already for a project of the originally intended scale (which has obviously grown a bit too much since the initial estimate of .9 mil was so outpaced)
As Yahtzee said in his review of the last one that got initially banned is Aussie; "I understand the viewpoint, at least. It's that knowledge that I'm certainly not getting off to this, but somebody somewhere is." and from Manhunt "It's clearly labelled not for kids, but kids are going to play it, if for no other reason than that it's way cooler to talk about this kind of gore in the playground than it is to talk about it around the water cooler."
For the love of god, NLife network sites, it's not that bad. It's on-par with or even above War for Cybertron campaign-quality-wise, and it has the best Escalation mode so far. As long as people know that there's no PvP multiplayer, they should be being told that, if they think they can still go back to something with War's still- considerable quality after Fall's stellar quality, thay'll have fun with this.
Or are you just upset that you had to buy a game for once because Activision didn't send you copies and this is your petty revenge?
That trailer shows extraordinarily little gameplay. The vast majority of it was cutscenes. Maybe, up against stuff like Arkham Knight and U4, they made the call to show mostly cutscenes because they simply look the best (even in this rerelease, the cutscenes will definitely still be the best looking parts, no doubt).
Well, it's nice to see that they're not pussyfooting around their mistakes, but the fact that there were said mistakes in the first place sucks. Then again, most every game has mistakes left in these days addresses with a day 1 patch, but this sounds like it was worse than that.
Peter Cullen sounds like he has some food in his throat. It's weird because he found the voice again just fine in the first two Bayformers, and in Fall and Bayformers 3 he started doing this... I dunno... I want to say lisp, but it's not a lisp.
I'd much prefer 60fps over 1080p or just graphical grunt (a worse-looking game could still run at 1080p 60). A racing game seems like one of the better games to have running at 60.
If we're honest, this is getting to the point where ND need to make an official statement explaining what's going on, for our sake. I'm not exactly panicked, but it does look rather suspicious.
I haven't played one of these since Lego Star Wars 2 (the very second LEGO game from Traveller's tales ever). Someone tell me... is the gameplay still basically the same (I recall an absolute metric f***-ton of collectables), or has the expected 'base' gameplay formula become something different now?
This will be a fun PS Plus freebie to have on the go in a few months (because, come on, of course it'll be on PS plus), but since I have these games on PS2 and PS3, I won't be buying again.
I'll buy any GoW, that's for sure, but I agree that something bigger than "Kratos escaped death AGAIN" needs to happen in it. A new character, a reboot, something like that.
This sounds like the kind of 'interactive' that means you make three button presses in the entire 'game'. Nothing against that, but I'd have to be buying it with the mindset of 'movie', not 'game'.

Could you Drake a worse pun, @get2sammyb?

Re: PS4 Port The Last of Us Remastered Sure Looks Pretty in These New Screenshots
@get2sammyb Agreed. It will look stunning in motion.

Hmm... I'm not confident in that logic...

This does look to be more stealth-focused, which is very good.

Re: Video: Will David Hayter Star in PS4's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain After All?
I reckon both Solid Snake and Big Boss are going to appear in the game in some form.
That's why.
Re: Review: EA Sports UFC (PlayStation 4)
Wow, those graphics are insane.
I guess you can manage that when all you have to load is two models and an arena.
Re: We're Not Saying It's Doomed, but These DOOM Comments Don't Inspire Much Confidence
To be honest, all I really want is for the aiming to be on one axis like in the originals. It would give the game a very unique feel if nothing else.

Re: E3 2014: Sony Shoulders the Blame for The Last Guardian Rollercoaster
There is absolutely no way it's on PS3 anymore now.
This E3 was the last hope for that.
PS4's all round!

I hope this isn't yet another Suda that's so OMGIMSOQUIRKY that I can't actually enjoy it.
Re: E3 2014: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Brings Drake to the Brink in 2015
I'm really glad he's clearly aged and they haven't just shoehorned in some reason for U3's ending to have not worked out within 6 months.
Re: E3 2014: New Ratchet & Clank Movie Trailer Explores the Heroes' Past Adventures
I'd make that remake a separate news post, but that's just me.

Literally the only thing I care about there (as I have no interest in the share functions) is the lightbar options.

But I doubt both of those things.

They should take a risk and release an assassin's-creed-ified Prince of Persia game instead of next year's Ass Creed vanilla game.

Bleh.
I bought Murumasa and haven't really played it >_>

Playing MGS2 also, want to get to Snake Eater ASAP for the third-person camera.
Re: Snap Seattle with inFAMOUS: Second Son's Brand New Patch
I love the time of day feature.
Also the FPS cap. I hate being teased by 40+FPS only to drop back down to <30 when I stop looking at the sky or the ground.

Sadly, nothing in here about what's changed with the PS4 version.

Re: PS4's Virtual Reality Headset Project Morpheus Officially Unveiled
Yeah, needing a price, here.
I mean, it sounds like the thing could cost more than the PS4 itself!
Re: Review: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PlayStation 4)
I don't mind short games - TLOU Left Behind's length:price ratio was fine IMO, but this is next-level bull-crappery here.

All prior versions of N have been awesome, but eventually got too hard and I've never finished any of them.
Re: Rumour: Nathan Drake to Scale PS4 in Enhanced Uncharted Collection
@Shaolin Sony gives ND complete creative freedom for their new games, but I doubt they'd give ND much say in cash-grab remaster collections.
Re: Naughty Dog Takes You Behind the Scenes of The Last of Us: Left Behind
You forgot the part where they said in the ND.com news post that the 3rd DLC would come with a new SP difficulty setting.
Re: Rumour: Nathan Drake to Scale PS4 in Enhanced Uncharted Collection
There is absolutely no way that this could be a real thing and TLoU PS4 couldn't be a real thing too.
