Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 281

Riparcade2

@ellsworth004 I’ve had a few hours on it now and I must say it’s not bad. Takes patience and memorising the controls is a bit of a mission. Good fun and will be a challenge for sometime to come.
It’s a welcome break from graphic rich environments. Sorry, I’m no game reviewer but for me it’s a 7/10.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Days Gone? And Are You Enjoying It?

Riparcade2

1st game I’ve ever pre ordered. Played for a few hours, enjoying roaming around and doing stuff in random order...probably the wrong way to play but I care not..
It’s glitchy and I understand why some folks have a real problem with it. It’s certainly not what I expected. Saying that’s I’m about 10 hours in and have probably scratched the surface. Nevertheless, I see me spending a lot more time on this game. I’ve stumbled across some hordes and cleaned out bandit camps in which the AI is abysmal. I recon this will go on to better things and I’m sure I’ll be along for the long ride... I like apocalyptic zombie esque fiction.
Never played far cry or uncharted so this style of game is all newish to me..

Re: Days Gone - Open World Comfort Food with a Survival Horror Spin

After 3 years of excitement about this game I have decided that the most meaningful review will come from myself in due course... I’ve really enjoyed being hyped about this game and while I have read a lot of reviews about it so far (1st being here) I remain psyched to be able to play it tonight. I guess I must add that the only open world games I’ve played are HZD which I really enjoyed and RDR on ps3 which became overshadowed by Last of Us... so Days Gone should present some new things to me?

Re: Days Gone Development Is Complete Ahead of April Launch on PS4

This game is reason why I bought a ps pro. I’ve never bought a game in advance before... and I’ve bought physical collectors edition and digital version..... I dunno, I’m obsessed with it... damm Bend studios, never even heard of them or Syphon Filter before this was previewed however many years ago... kinda enjoying the ride!

Re: Hands On: Can Days Gone Keep Sony's First-Party Streak Alive?

Riparcade2

@get2sammyb This not a zombie game from what I’m reading here and in others who have had similar experience as yourself.

The freakers have behaviours different to usual zombie type games which has piqued my interest since I seen it a long time ago. I don’t know of other zombie games where they ‘nest’, ‘feed’ or react to environmental changes. If you had to draw a comparison to another ‘zombie’ game to describe Days Gone... what would it be? Cheers!

Re: Sounds Like There's a Lot of Cutscenes in Days Gone's Lengthy Campaign

Riparcade2

The cut scenes make games interesting for those who don’t like to play ... my misses for one. She loved watching me play TLOU2, took an active part in Detroit... and that one cut scene stitched into another no? She currently enjoying Resident Evil 2... make makes my gaming more acceptable to her...I am 46...
I’m psyched for this game and 6 hours of cut scenes is no bad thing... I can cope with that. Rather 6 hrs of decent story telling over 6mins of poor game play, but then that’s just me

Re: Days Gone PS4 Press Tour Goes on the Road

If I had one question I guess it would be.. how long has it taken to create this game? I know I seen the 1st preview about 3 years ago and I guess a lot if work had gone into it before then? I know nothing about game development but enjoy playing them. How big is the team? And if each person on the team does a 35 hour week how much time has that translated into. Probably a nerdy question but it would satisfy my intrigue... this is probably my most anticipated game ever... and I’ve been gaming for probably around 40 years... thanks!

Re: This Is How Days Gone's Multiplayer May Have Looked

Riparcade2

Looks good and I’m likely to purchase... L4D (which it’s being compared to) will always have a place in my heart... so this may help fill the void. Not bothered no multiplayer on Days Gone, probably a good thing, more focus on main event...
Last of us 2 multiplayer, that’s something I’m getting excited about ...I still own ps3 because of the multiplayer on “the last of us” . a well underrated gem of a game that is, in my opinion... a few rounds of that gives me a cardio workout like no other...
