Re: Final Fantasy 16 Receives Permanent Price Cut on PS5 as Complete Edition Launches

How kind of them to reduce the price of a game you can purchase physically for around £30 brand new. Instead of paying £70 for a digital version we now have the honour of paying £50!

All digital is not the issue (would prefer if physical continued). It's the walled off nature of all consoles' digital distribution. Having them locked off to only buy from a single store allows them to jack up prices and prevents competition.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy PS5 Pro If It Was Cheaper?

Sakhasm

The two games I've played the most on the base PS5 are FF16 and FF7 Rebirth. Both games struggle mightily in fidelity mode and could really do with a boost. I was interested in trading in my PS5 for a pro model but at £800 (with disc drive add on) this is unrealistic and just downright stupid.
I would have been willing to pay a max of £200 on top of the standard PS5 but as it stands it's £400 more than the standard if I want a disc drive with the PS5 Pro

Re: Soapbox: This Is Why Physical Games Are Still Important to Me

Sakhasm

I've grown to appreciate physical media as I've gotten older. I love owning something tangible to remind me of the memories playing the game.
While it's undeniable that digital is taking over its also undeniable that the prospect of media vanishing - due to expired licenses or the developer just pulls it off digital markets - is scary.
Unlike other entertainment gaming preservation is not in a great place right now (it has gotten better). That and the unwillingness for companies to make games backwards compatible and available to play on future consoles is negligence of the art form.

Re: UK Retailer GAME's New Elite Scheme Sucks

@Fight_Teza_Fight Better than nothing?! Instead of paying 40-50 quid in Game to get 2% off, how about searching online on Amazon, Base, Shopto and plenty of other stores that havr the game below RRP even as pre orders.
At this point the only relevance Game has in the UK is due to the ignorance of people not willing to explore alternatives or have a fear of shopping online
