Re: Happy Birthday to You, PlayStation 4

Storytime7

Nothing that released this year convinced me to purchase a PS4, but this generation of gaming is only just getting started. Almost every PS console has eventually been worth it, so I'm expecting the PS4 to eventually have a lot of games I want to play.

Re: Talking Point: Is This Gaming's Most Disappointing Ever Year?

Storytime7

2014 has been a very disappointing year for video games, but I wouldn't say it was the most disappointing ever. 2013 had so many good releases and 2015 looks just as stellar (assuming nothing gets delayed), so 2014 looks worse by comparison than it actually is. Still a disappointing year, though.

Re: Feature: Why Do Next-Gen Games Keep Disappointing?

Storytime7

@BLPs You should play Ocarina of Time at some point. I rarely hear it still being praised as the best game ever made, so I wouldn't say hype should be a problem nowadays. It's still a fun game, and the 3DS remake is a good option for anyone who hasn't played it yet.

Re: Ubisoft Locks Assassin's Creed Unity's PS4 Resolution to Avoid Debates

Storytime7

@bbq_boy Except I never stated my opinion on whether resolution/fps matter, all I did was criticize the irrational comment you made towards MS. Also, just because I like Nintendo games doesn't mean I'm a Nintendo fanboy. I like plenty of PS exclusives (Jak and Daxter, Last of Us, Ico, Sotc, etc). Metroid remaster? You mean Zero Mission? That's a remake that completely fixes the problems with the original (areas no longer look the same, controls are better, you start the game with a reasonable amount of health, etc), whereas most PS3 remasters are the original games with improved resolutions and frame rate. Also, the Radiant Historia avatar is not because I'm a Ninty fanboy, it's because I can't be bothered to change the avatar I have on NintendoLife (you know, the sister site to Push Square).

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 41

Storytime7

Wario Land 2 (3DS VC) - Already beat the game a while ago, but I've been playing it here and there getting all the secret exits and treasures. Probably gonna finish it up today.
Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) - Replaying the game, aiming for 100%.

If I get the new Smash Bros. this weekend, I'll also be playing that.

Re: Rumour: Beyond: Two Souls May Still Be Bringing Next-Gen Emotions to PS4

Storytime7

@adf86 Yes, it's different. Sony has PS Now if they want to charge people to play older titles (rather than make it free through backwards compatibility), so there's no reason to remaster these games other than getting people to pay near full price for them. Also, Beyond: Two Souls, Tomb Raider (2013), The Last of Us, and GTA V are not old games. They don't need the upgrade.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 36

Storytime7

Azure Striker Gunvolt (3DS eShop)
Wario Land II (3DS Virtual Console)
Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)

Looking to finish up the first two pretty soon, so I can put more time into Xenoblade. Still have a couple PS3 games I've yet to play (Ni No Kuni, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Kingdom Hearts 1.5, etc.), but I don't want to start any games that will take a while to beat until I finish Xenoblade.

Re: Review: The Last of Us Remastered (PlayStation 4)

Storytime7

@XFsWorld When I played it on the PS3 last year it took around 14 hours to beat. Not bad for this kind of game.

As for the review...I didn't think it was a 10/10 on the PS3 and the PS4 version probably won't change my mind. I'll get it eventually because it is a good game, but not for a long time (and this is not just because I still don't have a PS4). Really not a fan of games being remade/remastered so early that it can't even make a substantial difference. Metroid: Zero Mission, for example, is more what I like to see out of remakes.
