So many PS4 fanboys blindly hating Microsoft because the Xbox One might've sold better on black friday. Sony will have to try harder to sell people the PS4 if other consoles start to catch up. Competition is a good thing.
Nothing that released this year convinced me to purchase a PS4, but this generation of gaming is only just getting started. Almost every PS console has eventually been worth it, so I'm expecting the PS4 to eventually have a lot of games I want to play.
@get2sammyb It's mostly the fact that the first bundle has two games I've already played, and the second doesn't really interest me that much. Actually, I should rephrase my initial statement. I think it's a mediocre value in comparison to the black friday deals for other consoles.
2014 has been a very disappointing year for video games, but I wouldn't say it was the most disappointing ever. 2013 had so many good releases and 2015 looks just as stellar (assuming nothing gets delayed), so 2014 looks worse by comparison than it actually is. Still a disappointing year, though.
Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS) - Decided to play something from my backlog. Was also thinking of starting Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, but chose to play this first.
@ObviouslyAdachi I think Zero Mission is better than Fusion, but they're both fantastic.
@BLPs You should play Ocarina of Time at some point. I rarely hear it still being praised as the best game ever made, so I wouldn't say hype should be a problem nowadays. It's still a fun game, and the 3DS remake is a good option for anyone who hasn't played it yet.
@bbq_boy Except I never stated my opinion on whether resolution/fps matter, all I did was criticize the irrational comment you made towards MS. Also, just because I like Nintendo games doesn't mean I'm a Nintendo fanboy. I like plenty of PS exclusives (Jak and Daxter, Last of Us, Ico, Sotc, etc). Metroid remaster? You mean Zero Mission? That's a remake that completely fixes the problems with the original (areas no longer look the same, controls are better, you start the game with a reasonable amount of health, etc), whereas most PS3 remasters are the original games with improved resolutions and frame rate. Also, the Radiant Historia avatar is not because I'm a Ninty fanboy, it's because I can't be bothered to change the avatar I have on NintendoLife (you know, the sister site to Push Square).
Wario Land 2 (3DS VC) - Already beat the game a while ago, but I've been playing it here and there getting all the secret exits and treasures. Probably gonna finish it up today. Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) - Replaying the game, aiming for 100%.
If I get the new Smash Bros. this weekend, I'll also be playing that.
@adf86 Yes, it's different. Sony has PS Now if they want to charge people to play older titles (rather than make it free through backwards compatibility), so there's no reason to remaster these games other than getting people to pay near full price for them. Also, Beyond: Two Souls, Tomb Raider (2013), The Last of Us, and GTA V are not old games. They don't need the upgrade.
@T7L3R How are you enjoying Okami so far? I thought it was a great Zelda inspired game that managed to be its own thing despite the blatant similarities.
Azure Striker Gunvolt (3DS eShop) Wario Land II (3DS Virtual Console) Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)
Looking to finish up the first two pretty soon, so I can put more time into Xenoblade. Still have a couple PS3 games I've yet to play (Ni No Kuni, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Kingdom Hearts 1.5, etc.), but I don't want to start any games that will take a while to beat until I finish Xenoblade.
Quality over quantity. Still not sure what to expect from this game. It's definitely interesting what they're trying to accomplish with it, but I still feel like we don't know enough about the game to really have an idea how it'll turn out.
@RawWilson1 Shadow of the Colossus (along with Ico) was already remastered for the PS3. Anybody who has not played it yet was clearly not that interested.
I'm still trying to catch up on what I missed, but it doesn't seem too good. If you're already happy with your PS4 I'm sure it was probably decent, but for people who are still on the fence about purchasing one or starting to regret buying it, I don't think they showed much that would change people's minds.
@Axel210 What are you on about? 10/10 in a review does not mean perfection, that much should be obvious. I agree some games get overrated here, but that's no reason to blindly call out reviewers on this website as not caring about games or gamers.
@XFsWorld When I played it on the PS3 last year it took around 14 hours to beat. Not bad for this kind of game.
As for the review...I didn't think it was a 10/10 on the PS3 and the PS4 version probably won't change my mind. I'll get it eventually because it is a good game, but not for a long time (and this is not just because I still don't have a PS4). Really not a fan of games being remade/remastered so early that it can't even make a substantial difference. Metroid: Zero Mission, for example, is more what I like to see out of remakes.

I wonder if it'll work this time.

Re: The Weather Looks Frightful in This Uncharted 4 Concept Art
I think that image is making me more hyped to play this game than the E3 trailer.

@Munkyknuts Valiant Hearts is not an indie game.

Eh...pretty mediocre value.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 43
Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS)
Super Smash Bros. (3DS)
Not exactly sure what to start after I'm done with these games. Probably either Super Mario RPG or something on my PS3.
Re: PlayStation's Leading Ladies Get a Little More Affordable in NA PSN Flash Sale
Pretty great sales. Might pick up Mirror's Edge, the two Resident Evil titles, and Skullgirls Encore.

@bbq_boy Except even PS exclusives don't run at 1080p/60fps, but I guess I shouldn't expect fanboys to say anything rational.

It doesn't matter how good it looks. They still haven't shown off anything that makes the game look the slightest bit interesting.
