Looks great, but this game being announced a few days ago reminded me that I still haven't played a game in this series. I have the PSP remakes of 1 and 2, so I should get to that sometime before this comes out.
Codename S.T.E.A.M. (3DS) - Just about done with this one. Not one of my favorite 3DS games, but it was decent. Box Boy (3DS) - Fun little eShop game. It has a decent amount of content for such a cheap game. Super Mario 3D World (Wii U) - This game is incredible.
Won't get around to anything else this weekend, but I plan on starting Ni no Kuni (PS3) and Fire Emblem (Wii U virtual console) once i'm done with those other games.
Codename S.T.E.A.M. (3DS) - Getting close to the end of this one. Not bad, but I can't say I'm a big fan of this game.
Mega Man X4 (PS1 Classics) - Replaying this because I couldn't pass up getting it in that flash sale last weekend. Plan on going through the game as both X and Zero.
That makes sense for TLoU, Gravity Rush, and Tearaway, but how would remastering the third game in a franchise bring in new players? If someone wouldn't play a new God of War just because they never played the earlier games, then why would they play 3 without playing the first two?
@Dohv Yes, but the PS4 is also a different gaming platform. People that don't have a Vita have even less of a reason to get one if this game is being remastered. I'm not bothered by it, though. This is a game I wanted to see remastered on PS4 because it can reach a larger audience.
@Dohv I just don't see the point of the bitterness in your post. The 3DS family did better overall, but the PS4 still did great. Also, it's not a big deal if a few regulars on this site are not fans of Sony. NintendoLife states in the rules that you don't have to like Nintendo to post there, so I would expect it to be the same here (it being a sister-site and all). That, and just because someone criticizes Sony every now and then does not mean they hate PlayStation (I don't).
Final Fantasy IV (PSP), Donkey Kong Land (3DS VC), and I might start Majora's Mask 3D soon. I've mostly played on handhelds in recent weeks, so I might start playing something from my PS3 backlog after MM3D. Probably Infamous 2.
Such a great console with a huge library of good games. I don't think Sony will ever make another console as good for its time as the PS1 and PS2 were.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) - Still playing this. A Kappa's Trail (DSi) - Some game I got for free because of Club Nintendo. It's okay. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Demo (3DS) - I haven't played much of this series, but I do want to get into it. I'm liking the demo, but I'm not sure if I'll buy the game day one because Majora's Mask 3D releases on the same day. Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (3DS) - Haven't played this in a few days, but I plan on starting the post-game content and making a proper team soon.
I have a ton of games in my backlog to get around to (even more now because of the recent PSN sale), but I probably won't do so for a while. I'll probably start playing the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection once I'm done with the games I mentioned above.
I never bothered playing PT, but I really hope the new Silent Hill game is nothing like this. Heard a lot about it because of the internet, and some of the design decisions are just awful.
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (3DS) - Beat the elite four earlier today. Might get started on the post-game content, and begin making a proper team soon.
SteamWorld Dig (3DS) - I've had this game for a while, but never got around to it until just recently.
Other than that, might start either Ducktales Remastered (PS3) or Metal Gear Solid (PS1) pretty soon. I've actually never played any of the MGS games despite owning a few of them, so I plan on going through most of the series before The Phantom Pain releases.
@Dohv Lol, it's pathetic how you get so worked up that you have to stalk his profile just because he said something you disagree with. I'm one year older than you, so I'll be just as condescending and tell you to grow up. PS4 selling better because it released in Japan during 2014 is a reasonable assumption, so it's not him trying to "downplay" the system.
Still a little disappointed with how the exclusive lineup is looking for PS4, but there's enough coming out next year to convince me to buy one. Games I'm looking forward to the most would be:
Final Fantasy XV Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Persona 5 Ratchet and Clank Tearaway Unfolded Uncharted 4
Also excited for Street Fighter V and Kingdom Hearts 3, but I don't think the former is coming out next year (and the latter definitely won't). I also expect and look forward to Gravity Rush 2 being announced as a PS4 game.
@KillTheG1mp This isn't a traditional DQ game. It's a crossover game with Dynasty Warriors gameplay (hack 'n slash), and Dragon Quest characters. Pretty much a "for the fans" kind of thing.
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters (PSP)
Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS)
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (3DS)
Game & Watch Gallery (3DS VC)
Haven't actually started Alpha Sapphire because I'm focusing on beating the other games first, but I'll definitely get around to it once I'm done with them.
Game & Watch Gallery (3DS VC) - Almost done with this one.
Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS) - Been slowly picking away at this one. Almost done with the main story, but I might go for 100%.
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters (PSP) - Restarted this one after years of picking it up, but never getting around to finishing it. I intend on beating it this time.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya Destiny got its fair share of criticism, and the new CoD saw declining sales from last year's entry. By no means were these games hailed as masterpieces or anything.
It may be discouraging to read comments from unimpressed gamers, but that's no reason to respond in such a childish manner. Wasn't interested before, but now I definitely don't want this game.
I will not buy this awful, backwards game when it releases. Too many games that seem much better are coming out next year to have any interest in playing this.
@thedevilsjester I remember liking Tekken 3 back in the day, but I haven't really kept up with the franchise since. I just view it as something that is at home on PlayStation because the games have always been ported to PS consoles.
It's not. Street Fighter existed before PlayStation, and new games in the series would still be made even if PS4 were to be Sony's last console (I'm using that as a hypothetical example, not actually saying I think that will happen).
@LivingLeif It's not surprising, but even after using this site for over a year now I still find it annoying to see the occasional jab at Sony's competitors in these articles. If even the writers can't remain neutral, then how can the people who comment on this site? As for the two games in question, I think they should be available to as many people as possible.
Yet more Push Square bias in these articles that only encourage the rabid fanboys in these comments. Apparently it's okay for SFV to not be on Xbox One, but it's a travesty if Rise of the Tomb Raider might come to PS4 a little while later.
@Tasuki You would get familiar with the characters by playing the others, but you should be fine jumping into the series with 4. I know people who didn't start from the beginning, and still love these games.
Regardless of whether there was a visual downgrade like some of you are suggesting, it's still one of the better looking games coming out next year. What impressed me the most about the footage is just how much of the game they showed off. I was expecting there to be around 4 minutes of gameplay at most (like the Zelda gameplay shown off last night), but this was over 15 minutes long.

@FullbringIchigo Not even close to a decade. The PSP version released in 2011.

Final Fantasy IV (PSP), Majora's Mask 3D, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 56
Finishing up Final Fantasy IV (PSP version), and maybe starting Majora's Mask 3D.
Re: Preview: The PS4 Exclusives of 2015 - Tearaway Unfolded
Never played the Vita game, but this looks really fun. If I buy a PS4 by the time it comes out, then I'll definitely get it.
Re: Talking Point: Has Persona 5's Gameplay Trailer Dulled Your Excitement for Final Fantasy XV?
I'm more excited for Persona 5, but I don't see why that would make me less interested in FFXV. The two games do not have that much in common.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 55
Recently started Final Fantasy IV (PSP version), so I'll mostly be playing that.
Re: Persona 5's Brand New Gameplay Trailer Is the Phantom That You Need in Your Life

Re: Street Fighter's Natural Home Is on PlayStation, Claims Sony
@thedevilsjester I remember liking Tekken 3 back in the day, but I haven't really kept up with the franchise since. I just view it as something that is at home on PlayStation because the games have always been ported to PS consoles.
Re: Yes, Lara Croft Will Likely Still Climb onto PS4 in Rise of the Tomb Raider
@NaughtyOttsel22 Nerds on the internet are not the majority. All this deal does for consumers is limit how many people can play SFV.
Re: Yes, Lara Croft Will Likely Still Climb onto PS4 in Rise of the Tomb Raider
@NaughtyOttsel22 Killer Instinct being exclusive is completely different because Microsoft actually owns the IP.
Re: PS4 Zombie Sim Dying Light Will Raise the Dead in 1080p at 30FPS
Of course it's 30FPS.
Re: Street Fighter's Natural Home Is on PlayStation, Claims Sony
@get2sammyb Agreed. If any fighter feels at home on PlayStation, it's definitely Tekken.

Very well made and fun game. I know not everyone likes indie games, but this is still worth checking out if you haven't already played it.
