It's really a shame that this studio is closed. I really hope that Hermen will now ensure that old IPs see new light. Getaway for example. Since Hermen became Playstation studio boss, things have deteriorated quite rapidly. But that could be just me of course.
@TheCollector316 I already have 2-step verification enabled. And my password is something special and has a lot of value to me personally. So no passkey for me.
I,m all in a plague tale requiem. When done i'll start with TLOU2 remake. And still have to finish Spider man Miles Morales. That's quite tough when you're a father of 4, but it works out pretty well!
when will they come out with new games? This is slowly becoming a big joke. Almost every PS4 game gets a PS5 version. And that's fine, as long as new titles are released that hard-core PlayStation fans haven't played yet.
@The_Pixel_King But that's with every game, every month, every addition. there are always people who already have a game. And if that is added in Extra it is nothing. Okay, logic at its best again. I don't have RE2 yet and I'm happy with it.
When are they going to announce new Games? I really love al the "old" Playstation games but i think its time for some new blood Sony. I believe Hermen has a easy job.
No it can,t because Spider man is also ps only. Nothing wrong with that. We have to stop whining at some point. If you want to play Blade, buy an Xbox and if you want to play Spider-man, buy a Playstation. It's simple. Bethesda belongs to Microsoft, accept it.
@Joabra01Swe But you understand that you cannot compare a Spider-man 2 with an N64 game in terms of development, right? This lawsuit goes nowhere. You choose to play games yourself. Sony isn't forcing anyone to do this. And you are not obliged to purchase digitally. You choose to buy a console without a disc drive. You also have a free choice in this regard. If you're too lazy to get your ass off the couch and go to the local game shop, you're in bad shape. And even THAT can be done online these days. But do Microsoft and Nintendo charge nothing for sales in their store? Or will they come next?
No, 69 billion is too much for Sony. I personally think it is an appropriate amount to spend. But Microsoft has no choice but to do something like that. Xbox will never be like Playstation and Microsoft has it all to thank for that. They screwed it up with Xbox themselves. And a game pass is really not going to help with that. I don't think it is necessary for Sony to continuously put first and major third party titles on plus. Just look at Spider man 2. a great game with 2.5 million copies sold in 24 hours. That just shows that the vast majority of gamers are not interested in a game pass. Sure it's fun and there are quite a few nice titles coming up, but in the long term something like this is not sustainable, not even for Microsoft. Ultimately, a profit must also be made there. And with 30 million subscribers you're really not going to achieve that. If Microsoft is willing to share the monthly amount with Sony, it might be a great opportunity to bring GP to Playstation. And let's be honest. Sony doesn't have to spend that kind of money to be successful.
@Beerheadgamer82 I want Sony's bank behind me. Sony isn't exactly poor or anything. In 2022 they had 44 billion to spend. In addition, they also have billions in licenses for music and films. But I get what you mean. It is of course very easy if you have a company behind you that can easily spend billions.
I've never liked CoD games. I never understood the hype around it either. But that's probably just me. The only time I play CoD is when it's free on PS Plus and then only the single player. Anyway. To anyone who enjoys CoD, enjoy. Personally, I think it's all a faded glory.
@kyleforrester87 But it's not for you or me or anyone who already has a PS5. (unless you like to have 2) But especially for buyers who don't have one yet. My "big" PS5 does exactly what it's supposed to do. So no reason for a new one for me.
Still have premium first 59 euro a year. Now with tet the price increase is 79 euro per year. Think i,ll stay alive and be able to put food on the table. I think its great value for the price. For me personaly that is.
But why under presure? PS5 sales have increased by 175% compared to 2022. All Sony needs to do now is announce a number of mega first party titles and stop with that quiet attitude. Then MS can buy up so much more. (Because apparently they need that to survive) But then they won't dethrone Sony. It's not that CoD games are Pandora's box.
That 5 billion was reserved for takeovers. That's a small piece of the pie. That does not mean that there is no longer a frenzy for takeovers. The question is whether Sony thinks it's worth spending more.
Phil and Brad. Typical American creepy crawlies. It's still fun now, but a plan has long been drawn up for where this is going. But we'll see for ourselves. That's going to be a case, I told you so, right?
For the love of God Sony! Please come up with a surprise!
@mwatcher Why more friendly? If you want digital only buy the digital only one. If you want it with a disc, buy the disc version. I don't understand why this isn't customer friendly.
@DeathlySW I get your point, but those statistics are not available. I think that Microsoft, for example, fends off a hacking attempt almost every hour. Or Google Apple and Amazon. You just don't read or see anything about it. And at Sony it happens more often because the Playstation brand is immensely popular.
@Member_the_game There are rumors of a new State of play this month. And here they come with an explanation for this increase. I hope they announce something spectacular to justify this price increase.
@Sequel
If you indeed do not use the online options of plus, it is expensive. But then €49 & €59 per year was already too expensive. I just mean to say that the overall increase is not too bad at €12 per year. It's not a shocking amount or anything.
@Sequel You're talking about 6.60 a month to play online and you get 3 games "on top" as well. all those streaming services are more expensive per month. Don't exaggerate so much. Sony is also a company that has to earn. life costs money. We have to live with that or do nothing at all.
Essential is €1 per month extra, extra is €2 per mont extra, and premium +/-€2,60 per month extra...EVERYTHING is getting more and more expensive. Hell my car Costs €180 to fill her up. groceries on average €120 per week. I think I can survive these amounts. Everyone pretends the world is ending, but Sony has to go through the current inflation and I think the days are still not too bad. Netflix is more expensive every year.
@Discol76 No, I didn't see it that way at all. I find it frustrating too, but it is what it is. New gamers, new rounds, new opportunities. But thank you for your comment.
