Re: Court Rules £5 Billion Lawsuit Against Sony Can Go Ahead, Following Years of 'Excessive' PS Store Prices

TommyNL

@Joabra01Swe
But you understand that you cannot compare a Spider-man 2 with an N64 game in terms of development, right? This lawsuit goes nowhere. You choose to play games yourself. Sony isn't forcing anyone to do this. And you are not obliged to purchase digitally. You choose to buy a console without a disc drive. You also have a free choice in this regard. If you're too lazy to get your ass off the couch and go to the local game shop, you're in bad shape. And even THAT can be done online these days. But do Microsoft and Nintendo charge nothing for sales in their store? Or will they come next?

Re: PlayStation Users to Be Considered 'Part of the Xbox Community', Says Xbox Boss

@Beerheadgamer82

No, 69 billion is too much for Sony. I personally think it is an appropriate amount to spend. But Microsoft has no choice but to do something like that. Xbox will never be like Playstation and Microsoft has it all to thank for that. They screwed it up with Xbox themselves. And a game pass is really not going to help with that. I don't think it is necessary for Sony to continuously put first and major third party titles on plus. Just look at Spider man 2. a great game with 2.5 million copies sold in 24 hours. That just shows that the vast majority of gamers are not interested in a game pass. Sure it's fun and there are quite a few nice titles coming up, but in the long term something like this is not sustainable, not even for Microsoft. Ultimately, a profit must also be made there. And with 30 million subscribers you're really not going to achieve that. If Microsoft is willing to share the monthly amount with Sony, it might be a great opportunity to bring GP to Playstation. And let's be honest. Sony doesn't have to spend that kind of money to be successful.

Re: PlayStation Allegedly Under Pressure to Make Major Gaming Acquisitions

TommyNL

But why under presure? PS5 sales have increased by 175% compared to 2022. All Sony needs to do now is announce a number of mega first party titles and stop with that quiet attitude. Then MS can buy up so much more. (Because apparently they need that to survive) But then they won't dethrone Sony. It's not that CoD games are Pandora's box.

Re: Sony Has Allegedly Suffered a Huge Hack by Ransomware Group

@DeathlySW
I get your point, but those statistics are not available. I think that Microsoft, for example, fends off a hacking attempt almost every hour. Or Google Apple and Amazon. You just don't read or see anything about it. And at Sony it happens more often because the Playstation brand is immensely popular.

Re: Reaction: Has Sony Put Together the Worst PS Plus Month Ever?

TommyNL

@Sequel
You're talking about 6.60 a month to play online and you get 3 games "on top" as well. all those streaming services are more expensive per month. Don't exaggerate so much. Sony is also a company that has to earn. life costs money. We have to live with that or do nothing at all.

Re: Reaction: Has Sony Put Together the Worst PS Plus Month Ever?

Essential is €1 per month extra, extra is €2 per mont extra, and premium +/-€2,60 per month extra...EVERYTHING is getting more and more expensive. Hell my car Costs €180 to fill her up. groceries on average €120 per week. I think I can survive these amounts. Everyone pretends the world is ending, but Sony has to go through the current inflation and I think the days are still not too bad. Netflix is more expensive every year.
