Working great for me, and something I was keen to see implemented.
PSA re: exiting games: for some reason the home button does not function during cloud streaming, you need to access quick menu (swipe left from top right of screen - you will then have option to close game).
Took 35 mins for my order confirmation to come through, so definitely a backlog there. I’d printed and screenshotted confirmation.
Shame the 30th Anniversary Pro was pretty much scalped away, but my PS5 is launch model, and will be nice to upgrade and sell on to cover some of the cost of white pro.
9 from me. Amazing game, and a fun platinum, however, I felt it was one workd short of being a 10; I was expecting a final world to open after the ones we had, rather than just the final boss stage.
Also, the world map/level select felt very cheap compared to the level of polish throughout the rest of the game.
@riceNpea I can’t take any credit for it! I just hope people start using it to accurately describe these shorter stories. It’s a nice bonus, but novel is very much stretching it …
@Luigia hopefully. It is possible, as I use Chiaki on Steam Deck to remote play, and it has a setting to skip this somehow. Great if someone is watching TV and you want to remote play, as it stops the channel automatically switching.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner well … yes, happens in every medium. Not acceptable, but have seen plenty of films that have been scraped together and pushed out because of budgets, or just lack of care. Still see unfinished special effects, poor sound mixes, rough takes, plot threads that go nowhere due to changes in scripts etc. and most of the time, none of this is ever fixed, and if it is, you get the pleasure of paying twice to see the “fixed version” if it ever comes.
Same with books, and some of those are just outright bad - typos, repeated words - only fixed in reprints if you’re lucky, and then you buy again.
None of that is defend releasing crap and expecting people to pay good money for it, but every form of entertainment does it, but at least with gaming it can, and often is fixed (some more than others).
@Olmaz I’m 99.9% that it’s deliberate, as the font they use could quite as easily read as Patapon as it could Ratatan. In fact, it looks more like Patapon than Ratatan. 🤔
@themightyant that felt like the perfect way to play the game. If anything, Plasma Cutter was the best weapon in the game when used correctly, and made it feel more of a survival horror, as you made do with the most basic tool you had.
Was disappointed when I played through the second game with plasma cutter only for no trophy to pop up at the end! Still made the game a tense good time though, and I never touched another weapon.
@Postie85 absolutely. Bowsers Fury definitely does this. It’s definitely not an open world, but does feel like a world map with various Zone-like segments that feel like stages.
@Texan_Survivor so TLOU2 sold 4.8m in the first 2 weeks, and GOW3 sold 4.95m in the first two weeks - hardly a huge difference in sales.
Not entirely sure why you are so desperate to sell this as a failure.
Amazing game, with fantastic plot and characters, that was willing to take risks that other games wouldn’t, whether you liked the story it was telling or not.
To those arguing they would be annoyed … sell the disc version and buy a digital one when available … they’ve essentially given you at least $100 free, if you sell at asking price, more if you fancy scalping. That can go towards a ps5 game with some to spare for a sale. What is wrong with you people.
It's certainly a game best played with a keyboard (the switch port is decent and works well enough).
However, the game definitely doesn't expect you to know morse code?? I've played through it twice (once on pc, once on switch), and there is a puzzle including morse code, but the info and documentation on deciphering it is in game, and was a decently tactile and strangely fun experience.
If you do actually know morse code, then it's not really a puzzle, as it would be a complete breeze.
"This classic 3D platformer, which released on the PlayStation 1, is one of those titles that certain pockets of gamers have far too much nostalgia for", a bit harsh. You can't have too much nostalgia for something. I know it's not the best 3D platformer, but I got this for Christmas the same year as FFVII, and it was a nice little platformer to play in between. I still have fond memories of that year, and good memories of Croc. People however may remember it as better than it is, but that doesn't kill the nostalgia! Also, Croc 2 is a massive improvement, so would be nice to see a double pack.
@Axlroselm @ShogunRok 3 playthroughs to see everything plotwise, as the two mains selected impact which main antagonist you follow, and that antagonist is tied to two characters.

Great little game, and severely underscored by Push Square. Also, more and more examples of using "We" to share your opinion. I.e. "We weren't fans of the original game". I thought that the scores were reflective of the individual reviewers experience, rather than a collective score of the team?
@lacerz this is the most annoying issue. Sometimes if something has a deep discount, I may want to purchase it for future play when I may not be subscribed to plus.
It definitely feels like a trap to keep you into plus, as you essentially lock yourself out of purchases you may want in future. It's a crazy situation, and can only be resolved by going back to physical.
@Shinishii you are definitely correct. Inverted should not be called inverted at all. To walk forward you push forward, and to look towards the ground in front of you, you push forward. I've no idea how people can actually play with the 'normal' y-axis since it makes no sense whatsoever, and is the inverse of what people are doing with the left stick naturally.
@Matroska it looks nothing like a rpgmaker game. Unless you would also describe Advance Wars as looking like an rpgmaker game, which it most certainly doesn't.
@badbob001 @oatmealwarrior92 I don't neccessarily think there'll be such a big division, I see ps5 as a step towards phone style upgrades. Hopefully an end to 'HD Remasters'. Death Stranding for example, is currently a PS4 game, as with Last of Us 2 etc, however, releasing so late in the consoles life cycle, I suspect that PS5 versions will be already included. Similar to how mobile, and upgrading a PC would work to unlock various graphic options etc.
In skipping the puzzles you are missing out on a good chunk of what makes this game so great in the first play. It's one of the few games where the gameplay and story really play into each other, plus it is a puzzle game, which should have a reasonable level of challenge. Not much of a puzzle if you can solve it with little challenge.
I bought Vampyr for deep discount in a sale. As others mention, combat is pretty bland, but the world, characters, and actual roleplaying are pretty decent and kept me engaged despite it's obvious flaws. A Sequel could really be something special.
@Jaz007 there are two difficulties originally, but as in other DMC games, the harder difficulties are there and unlockable.
I wouldn't describe bloody palace as needed, bit it's certainly a nice bonus, and having it as a free dlc not long after launch, once people have got a handle on new mechanics etc. is a good way to keep DMC V in the public eye, plus keep players returning.
I'd be inclined to agree with you if it was paid for dlc, but since it's free, I wouldn't consider marking the game down or describing it as incomplete in the slightest.
@Jaz007 curious as to why you would describe it as incomplete? I've easily already got around 30 hours out of it, and feel happy with that. Bloody palace is a bonus.
@Ralizah I thought this was a strange criticism too. I would've been disappointed if they'd removed these things. It's 'survival' horror. Not 'go in unlimited guns ablazing' horror.
@ShogunRok capcom's advertising has been very odd. I know it's an old game, but I assume because if it's age, there are plenty out there who haven't played as many times as me. The trailer following the demo was full of spoilers that occur quite far on in the game. I'm sure there are still some suprises for us who've played before, but I felt the amount of spoilers in the trailer for newer players was insane.
@KingdomHeartsFan Xenoblade 2 is exceptional. Story isn't as good as 1, but the battle system is a lot of fun (give it a few hours), and there is a lot of content. One of the few games I happily spent well over 100 hours playing. The DLC is also very good, in that it's a shortish (20-30 hours) prequel.
@Medic_alert probably the same way he worked in the original RE 2 B scenarios (2nd playthrough). If I remember correctly, he was scripted, and you had choices to take him down or run. There were rewards for taking him down, but you could run away. I would imagine if he was contstantly pursuing you, it would become irritating quite quickly.
@VotesForCows all goes to those at the top who probably couldn't care less if you dropped dead tomorrow. We need to remember, everyone is replaceable, and damaging yourself for the sake of a project is not worth it. You'll be mourned for about as long as it takes them to find the next person to fill your shoes and do the work.
The comparison to artist and Sammy are completely different kettles of fish.
As an artist working alone, you have no influence on others, and no elements of peer pressure that could harbour a toxic culture. That's your art, your job, and yourself to blame. For example, I'm self employed, with no employees, and nobody to set an example for, or potentially cause damage to, so if I choose to stay up all day working, then that is my personal issue. In the case of Rockstar, it is an Employer / Employee relationship, and Employers have a duty of care to their staff, so yes, somebody most definitely should be telling the writers to get up and go home, and the practice of excessive working should actively be discouraged. If this isn't done, it shows lack of card for the welfare of the team, and can appear to be encouraging a poor work/life balance. Houser needs to be very careful in how he describes the work put in by the team, that could have easily been done in any other way without glorifying working 100 hour weeks in an environment where there is already scrutiny around the 'crunch culture'.
@VotesForCows there is a lot wrong with the 'clarification' that honestly digs them in a deeper hole than the first statement. 'No one, senior or junior, is ever forced to work hard', suggests that they equate 'working hard' with doing excessive hours.
'we have some senior people who work very hard purely because they’re passionate about a project', which again repeats the excessive=work hard message, and then to add insult to injury, ties this in with having a passion for it, reinforcing the idea that this behaviour is viewed favourably, in that do the excessive hours and we'll view you as a passionate employee.
I agree with you, this attitude and behaviour has the potential to destroy lives, and I personally see this at home, with a partner in a senior position who is put under so much pressure to perform that 7 day weeks at 16 hours per day aren't unusual. Health is impacted, confidence is lost, and life is wasted, all because of a job, and this perception that excessive hours/passion for the job = desirable employee.
Really this article is a little flippant around the subject. @ShogunRok you suggest this is complex issue, when it most certainly isn't. One person working 100 hours a week, even once, no matter their seniority, is one person too many, and boasting about this in an interview makes it all the worse.
@__marc Dracula x Chronicles also includes the original version of Rondo of blood. It's an unlockables, but it's there, and much better than the remaks.
@ellsworth004 it's a puzzle game with heavy story elements.
The skip option sounds good for those who want the story, but to be honest, if you skio the puzzles, your missing out on quite a big part of the game. The story is excellent, and 'Qatherine' sounds like a bug addition, but I wouldn't recommend skipping the puzzles.
I was hoping this would happen soon. Massively underrated, and underappreciated, most likely due to the steep learning curve with the battle system (which is one of my gfavourite battle systems of any JRPG). Maybe they can somehow ease players in with some new difficulty settings or a better tutorial. I suspect it will be a straight up remaster though.
@Porco is suspect that's the case. It's definitely got the SMT style plot and design, but the gampley couldn't be further (except the bar sections, which are quite persona like). I for one can't wait to play this again with the new character, I just hope people go in with expectations of this been a pretty intense puzzle game. For psone era gamers I'd compare it to Kurushi (or Intelligent Qube depending on region).
@Porco there was an easier difficulty last time. The normal mode was definitely quite challenging, and stressful, but the easy mode was pretty much a breeze. I don't see a problem with that, but when people complain it was too difficult, when there was an easy mode, is a little odd. Any easier and it would play itself.
Why do people seem to not like the puzzles in this? I thought the puzzles were a perfect match for the plot, and there was an easy mode for those who struggled. If the puzzles were too easy, then people would be complaining about how easy it was.
@NintendoFan4Lyf funny that you called it that. I've been watching a lot of the Twilight Zone and Night Gallery recently, and wondered why nobody had jumped on and made an antholgy video game (I thought telltale might've, but based on Until Dawn, I'm glad suppermassive have).
Looks like this may have came from the time when they were named to develop the Call of Cthulu Game. This looks more to my liking than what we are getting form that, one, because I prefer the 3rd Person Perspective, and two, because frogwares have put out some pretty decent adventures with the recent Sherlock Holmes games.
@GravyThief I'd that you never need to press forward to move forward in this game.
It controls similar to a racing game in a way, and you use R2 as forward all of the time, and left and right on dpad or anologue to steer. R2 is analogue as well, so you can easy switch between walk run and jog. I feel a lot of people out of habit will constantly be pushing forward, which actually makes the controls feel less responsive.
@get2sammyb ps plus is good for multiplayer games to get the word out and get new players in. For small Indies, particularly single player, they do well on plus, and often come to plus early (like this did I believe), so people say stuff like 'I'll wait for it to come to plus'. I've seen this so many times. So yes, it would've had less players without plus, but copies sold I can't see it making very little difference.
After Tetris Effect, I most intrigued by Transference and Deracine. I love PSVR, but don't spend enough time in it to truly get VR legs. Weirdly though, I get less kituon sick ess with Thumper in VR than I do with standard Thumper.
@Ralizah I hope so, the reason switch has became my system of choice for multiple platform. The only games I tend to prefer on the big screen are the more cinematic experiences. I would kill for handheld Persona 5, though remote play definitely helps.
@Ralizah reason you play play on console is the same reason I play portable. Sitting away from the screen and not being close enough to have the controller wired, in game mode, and with the headphones in, it always feels like I have to slightly adjust to the rhythm to account for delay. In portable mode, I've got the screen right there, the headphones in, and no possibilty for delay. I found this with ahtsune Miku on ps3, tried the PS3 demo, and the vita demo, and there was no comparison. Even after completing on vita, I thought I would give ps3 version a go and I kept just scraping by.
I would hope vita versions would be cheaper, but at the same time I'm a bit if a persona collector, so really want the set.

Re: Catherine: Full Body Arranges a Ménage à Quatre
@Porco there was an easier difficulty last time. The normal mode was definitely quite challenging, and stressful, but the easy mode was pretty much a breeze. I don't see a problem with that, but when people complain it was too difficult, when there was an easy mode, is a little odd. Any easier and it would play itself.
Re: Catherine: Full Body Arranges a Ménage à Quatre
Why do people seem to not like the puzzles in this? I thought the puzzles were a perfect match for the plot, and there was an easy mode for those who struggled. If the puzzles were too easy, then people would be complaining about how easy it was.
Re: Gamescom 2018: Until Dawn's Supermassive Introduces the Dark Pictures Anthology
Re: Gamescom 2018: The Sinking City Blends Sherlock Holmes with Lovecraftian Horror
Re: Soapbox: 5 Things I Wish I Knew About Shenmue Before Playing for the First Time
@GravyThief I'd that you never need to press forward to move forward in this game.
Re: No Publishers Are Interested in FuturLab's Sequel to Velocity 2X
@get2sammyb ps plus is good for multiplayer games to get the word out and get new players in. For small Indies, particularly single player, they do well on plus, and often come to plus early (like this did I believe), so people say stuff like 'I'll wait for it to come to plus'. I've seen this so many times. So yes, it would've had less players without plus, but copies sold I can't see it making very little difference.
Re: Guide: Upcoming PSVR Games in 2018
After Tetris Effect, I most intrigued by Transference and Deracine. I love PSVR, but don't spend enough time in it to truly get VR legs. Weirdly though, I get less kituon sick ess with Thumper in VR than I do with standard Thumper.
Re: Persona Dancing Bundle Includes All Three Games in the Series, Launches December
@Ralizah I hope so, the reason switch has became my system of choice for multiple platform. The only games I tend to prefer on the big screen are the more cinematic experiences. I would kill for handheld Persona 5, though remote play definitely helps.
Re: Persona Dancing Bundle Includes All Three Games in the Series, Launches December
